shes copping a lot of flak from working for IGN and their attitude to fans dissatisfied with the ending, if it wasnt for that most people would be very meh about her.

who is jessica chobot? i had never heard of her until this game
Me too.
The terrible voice actress of the terrible character Diana Allers; also an IGN "journalist."
To be fair, she's not an actress of any sort.
True that.

...I'd still think it would be kind of funny if you could send her out the airlock though, perhaps with a song from the Gong Show playing when you hit the button.

They should have put the time, money and effort, they invested in her into the important characters, like...uh..I don't know...making a decent picture for Tali or even reveal her face in a good scene or so...

I'm sorry, I know raising morale is important and everything and this shouldn't come off as a degradation of Jessica Chobot herself, but Diana Allers outfit was... Just short of Asari-pole dancer stripperrific and it made it hard to take her character seriously.
Every time she interviewed me I couldn't help but ask the question, "Why am I being interviewed by a prostitute?" She doesn't look like what I expected from a news journalist, especially in Mass Effect, one of things I liked most about the world. And I know this is going to sound crazy, was the tastefulness of the outfits.
Sci-Fi games have a tendency to make future fashion look like modesty and formal wear were antiquated notions of the past. Mass Effect gave both men and women truly businesslike wear.
Whereas Diana Allers comes into my cabin with a dress that I could mistake for a very long shirt, cut down low. I appreciate fanservice as much as the next guy but I can't treat ****ty outfits professionally.

To be fair, it was a series of "tweets" (in-universe, QEC broadcasts from Earth) on the first day of the invasion in LA. Ended in an epic way too. Think "Ramming speed!"thesnake777 wrote...

It doesn't matter, Emily Wong desrved an appearance in ME3, not just killed on Twitter. Really!? Imagine if it had been like Grunt or someone killed on twitter. Just a horrible idea.

Not in game = never happened )
Twitter is not really a thing to make mass effect canon history

I think she is more in need of basic English lessons.

Is it sad if I can't tell if she meant to say babsolutely or not? Like it's some new cross between babe and absolutely? She sounds kind of like a person that would make a "cute" word like that. Gah

Going a bit off-topic and speaking of al-Jilani, whilst she didn't get much time I was impressed by the bit she did get. After her appearences in the other games I was rather touched by the ME3 encounter (may have just been the result of a paragon choice, I can't remember now). Well played.TODD9999 wrote...
As for the use of Allers vs. killing off Emily Wong and barely using al-Jilani, I don't know that it was the greatest decision, but eh. And that was certainly not her fault. So, yes, I do feel bad for her. Maybe this wasn't the most amazing voicework I've heard, but it was okay; I can't blame her for getting in the game; and all the other problems with Allers and the game as a whole have nothing to do with her, so she's getting undeserved vitriol.

Dat @ss
only good thing about her character.
I sort of feel sorry for her because I'm sure like Felicia Day who really loved Dragon Age and got the chance to do her character (that sounded dirty) in the xpac and jumped at the chance. I think with Chobot it was a few things.
1) Terrible voice acting
2) bland character
3) Killed off the other reporter to make room for her
4) she's a freaking LI? Really? Jack gets a crappy dance, Miranda gets what a few lines of dialog and a fade to black, Jacob gets to cheat on you, thane dies, and kelly is all PSTD out of her mind and wont return to the normandy. But this chick gets the LI treatment?
5) the IGN factor
she was just a strange, useless character. They could have given her lines/place to the reporter you punched. Have you and her mend the fence and become friends as she grows to understand your gruff nature. It would have had context back to ME1 and made more sense then the Chobot.
also it pisses me off that Chobot got more lines then miranda, Jack, Jacob, Thane, and Grunt (more then I think all of those combined if you exclude maybe the ending phone call). Some really great characters got the shaft so she could get the spot
