Hello, everybody! I'm new here, but I've been reading these forums for a while now and decided to jump in and connect with my fellow fans. But I was wondering which ending did you choose? On my first playthrough I had my galactic readiness up to 100% and I collected just about every war asset (my final EMS rating was 5000+) and I chose the "Synthesis" option.
After reading up on the IT and other fans' story choices, it seems to me that most people chose the "Destroy" ending. When I chose the "Synthesis" ending, it seemed to me to be the best option. But after hearing othere opinions and seeing the other endings on YouTube, I was just curious as to how many actually chose "Destroy" and your opinions on why it's the "best" ending?
Thank you everybody, hope this was a good enough topic for my first postB)
So which ending did a majority of you choose?

I'd guess most people picked Destroy for the breathing scene.

I played once and took a look at both endings. While I'm playing the game for the second time now, I don't really care about the final choice in the game and will choose one just to end the game.

Which ending? What are you talking about, there's only one.
HAHAHAA! I'm gonna use that! Green for bulbasaur, Blue for Squirtle, Red for Charmander.

I also picked synthesis.

Destroy. Played mostly paragon through all the games, but there's no way I was going to let them have the satisfaction of surviving.

I picked the ending that was closest to my turtle shepard.

Destroy because it is what I set out to do.
Synthesis seems like sacrificing the souls of all those you were fighting for and can we really know for certain that Shep won't lose Control of the Reapers?

I picked the option to continuously shoot at the spacebrat in the face before exiting the game.

I choose 'Destroy'.
I couldn't justify choosing "Sythesis" it felt too much like Saren's plan of fusing organic and synthetics. His whole statement of "the strengths of both, the weaknesses of neither." Not to mention I felt that I was playing God with every living being in the universe and removing diversity. I just couldn't justify it as good.
I dismissed "Control" without a second thought. I spent the entire game telling the Illusive man that trying to control the reapers was crazy, and when the option was presented I pretty much dismissed it without a second thought. I love my Shepard but if I was to pit his mind against the collective minds of eons old machine beings, I wouldn't expect Shepard to be the victor.
So I chose 'Destroy'. I rationalized to myself that EDI and Legion would understand why I had to do it. So yes, I took the option that involved genocide because I felt that it was the least evil and had a chance of actually working. And no, when I choose destroy I didn't know about the breathing scene at all.

Destroy. I like red explosions. And I couldn't pass up the opportunity to get my revenge on Joker for kidnapping Garrus on the Normandy.

Probably Red. I don't trust Control and Synthesis is space magic, so Destroy it is. Plus Starchild warns you away from that ending, which makes picking it so much sweeter.

Destroooy. If we all got to die, we're dying in a fiery explosion of greatness.

I feel like I walked into Biowares incredibly clever plot, and felt a strong attachment to the Geth thanks to a) seeing how they were the victims of the Quarians, and
everything to do with Legion.
I went with control. Also thought I was stronger willed than the illusive man, enjoying the irony now.

At my really first play-through (without pre-release info) after a lot of walking back and forth, shooting the StarChild, I finally chose Synthesis.
After green-glowing stuff everywhere I changed my mind and destroyed them. That was also the point I lost my endurance and realized how much the ending sucks

I picked Destroy. My Shepard thought that controlling the Reapers would be impossible. Synthesis forces everyone to become something else, while not really solving anything. Destroy has unfortunate side effects according to Starbrat, but Shepard thought he was full of crap.
