To me, destroy makes no sense. Why commit genocide and kill EDI if there's a solution where you don't have to? I couldn't understand the point of having the option when you had the control alternative. Plus, just what constitutes a synthetic? Is it going to disable all computers and all VI's? Anybody with cybernetic implantation like all Biotics? Because that would seriously mess things up as well!

The way I see it, you either believe the catalyst or you don't. If you don't you wouldn't be choosing any options. If you do, then there's no reason to doubt that Control won't be completely removing the Reaper threat from the galaxy.

The only objection to Cerberus having control is their plan to subjugate the other races with the Reapers. Shepard knows she's not going to do that. she just has to say 'go back to dark space and never come back'.

Plus if EDI dies all the Normandy's systems fail. If they hadn't crashed on a planet the destroy option could have killed your entire crew!

did all 3 (just loaded - wanted to see if there was a difference) ................ all bad. Really destroy is the only real option.

i was plying paragon and went destroy. The other ones make nosense. You spend the all the games trying to destory the reapers and then in the end cuase space kid says you have to do it his way. I did what i was meant to do, kill the reapers. Do to the bad ending I have not played it again and wont unless the ending is fixed.

Same here. By control I'd please TIM (whom I've been opposed to since ME2), by synthesis I'd please no one. Both had unknown and possibly very unpleasant consequences. Destroy was the only way to go.

Does it really matter? I picked all of them because I was in disbelief over what I was seeing and wanted to believe there was an ending that wasn't so stupid. But if you mean which one did I pick first it'd be destroy. Not that it matters anyway since they're all the same.

Destroy with high EMS since the whole purpose of the series is destroying the Reapers.I do believe the indoctrination theory and stand by it.It's also only ending you get to see Shep "live" so I guess that's why I did it.I also managed to "save" Anderson and have the last chat with him oh and saw none of my crew dead after the blast.

I choose green because, i am friends to the geth.
I would have chosen red otherwise... but then i have to wonder at the logic of blowing up the machine being the way to activate it...

Destroy out of defiance and retaliation. Only way to end the threat for good for my paragon Shepard.

Being a paragon I chose Destroy. Seemed like the right thing to do and because Starchild is full of bull**** circular logic and bias towards synthetics.

Control may not have been a bad ending for renegades, but it doesn't actually fix anything as the Reapers are still around and Shep may as well turn to their evil logic when he\\she becomes..one of them?

Synthesis is just dumb, I mean space magic DUMB. I do like BioWare's fantasy games, but ME3 is actually pretending to be science fiction, so magical green beam of transformation is really out of place here. Besides that, this ending is the most evil of them all, because you're basically transforming every organic life form in the galaxy against their will into a toaster mix. I don't even want to try to imagine how it's possible for toasters.
And finally, if you believe him in the first place, this ending doesn't fix Starchild's dilemma, because making different species into one life form does not exclude them from making some more synthetics or wage wars on one another.

This one's Paragon Shepard chose the green ending (geth&EDI...); and Renegade Shepard chose the red one.

My renegade Samuel L. Jackson Shep chose to Destroy. Why? Couldn't see why should I have believed Catalyst's BS. Become one with your enemy, wtf Shepard is fighting to destroy Reaper menace, not to join it in vain hope of controlling it. Can not see any "paragon" alignment in that choice, sorry Bioware. Or synerge synthetics and organics: "a union
of flesh and steel, the strengths of both, the weaknesses of neither!" Sounds familiar and I ain't falling for that neither.

"Yes the Reapers deserved to die and I hope they burn in hell!"

In my first playthrough I chose destroy, though to be fair at this point I was still trying to work out what the hell was going on. In subsequent playthroughs I will let Marauder Shields kill me and quit.

I chose the one where Marauder Shields saved Shepard by killing him.

Its way more profound than the other endings.

Choose destroy, feel bad to sacrifice geth and Edi but at least for me, it's still good than sacrifice
all organic life by make them cyborg in synthasis or becoming Hitler 2.0 in control ending.

Destroy is the genocide option. How does the merciful choice = Hitler?

Destroy, it's what I set out to do.

Plus, the Geth and EDI die because the Starchild said they would? Eff that. I'll take my chances, they'd understand.
