I picked destroy (didn't know about the breathing scene). For me the three choices boiled down to this

Control: I ****ing hated this idea. TIM was the bad guy the entire game. Thwarting me at every chance, he did horrific experiments on people who just were looking for a sanctuary from the chaos. And in the end, he's fricking right? No, i refused to accept that. To me taking control of the reapers felt like what the reapers did in the creation of the collectors. Taking a race over and altering what they were supposed to do (from being a galactic empire to being a race of mindless slaves)

Synthesis: Just seemed like bull**** space magic to me. When I heard the description i just thought "great so I'm basically turning every organic into a husk?". It's pretty sad as this was the "good ending" but it was poorly explained and I took issue with rewriting the dna of every organic in the galaxy. Not my right.

Destroy: Had an issue here as I came to really like the geth and felt bad for them after learning their history. Legion died for basically nothing as his people were sacrificed to destroy the reapers. To me though this made the most sense (which isn't much) of all the endings. The entire series the focal point has been stopping the reapers at all cost. So while it was wrong, sad and generally f'd up of me to say "thanks for the help geth, now buhbye!" it was the only of the 3 that really seemed to make some sense and fit what I thought shep would do.

still think the endings all around sucked.

I picked Synthesis. Wasn't prepared to sacrifice the Geth and EDI or follow TIM's advice.

It's implied since she has Reaper code, as do the Geth and Destroy destroys all Reaper crap. Again, this goes back to how bad the endings are, they don't even clarify what space magic happens and what doesn't.

I chose Synthesis at first, but then I realized the Catalyst tricked me and I fell for it. Destroy ending ever since.

We don't see her "death" nor do we see the Geth's death.. We are assuming they "died" but have no evidence of their death.

Synthesis. I picked it just to see what would happen. Starchild and his three options blind-sighted me, so I didn't put a lot of thought into the choice.

I picked Synthesis by accident on my first playthrough. My mind and heart were racing so I just walked to the beam of light lol.

oh and also its the only ending that doesnt neccessitate shepard dying
EDIT : i didnt trust that stupid kid either  so the other endings seemed bogus to me

I choose control. I didn't want the Geth to die, and Synthesis was just wacky. I figured making it so you end up failed to control the Reapers would a little too obvious to be the result, so I assumed it would actually work, and went with that. Turns out the control is the only ending where the citadel survives, so there's that too.

Destroy. It seems the most "sane" one. Riding the tiger or killing mother nature with green wave simultaneously all other the galaxy... did not sound sane nor appealing.
Though i fail to grasp the connection of killing reapers via their hub with killing Geth - who are software and can live in a flash memory for what they care.
Except that it was written to torture people even further. "Destroying the reaper sounds natural. How about adding something those players will care about too" Bwahahaha!

I chose "Destroy" because that had been my objective for the enire series, to destroy the Reapers. I paused because Starchild told me that all synthetics, even the Geth, would be destroyed but I went with it anyway because I would be rid of the reapers and the surviving races would be truly free to make their own destiny. Concidentally, that is why I chose to cure the Genophage as well.

I replayed the end right away and chose "Synthisis". When I saw that it was basically the same ending I felt cheated and haven't played since.

We assume that destroy didn't turn everyone in the galaxy into Adrian Brody, but we have no evidence that didn't happen either.

I took the last dream that going with the kid would lead to my destruction, and TIM is an insane tool, so I picked the red explosion. Plus I thought the kid was lying, and still do
