Destroy the reapers had to go, sorry it included the geth and edi but to me that was the only way. Unfortunatly it didn't matter they all look the same.
So which ending did a majority of you choose?

didnt even occur to me...maybe i was too absent minded to try it, there was no reaction from shepard to aiming at this kid whatsoever (talk/health bar) so i concluded it wouldnt do any good any way.....instead i just picked a color

Destroy, which I think is the 'best' paragon ending.

Bewildered by all lack of logic and choice the only thing I could think of was that I didn't struggle to preserve Geth life, broker peace and encourage EDI to grow as a person just to kill them all again. I simply couldn't bare it, so I jumped in and went for the green explosion.
Only later on did I realize that Charles Shepard, and I with him, was indoctrinated and wasted his own life, the lives of everyone who trusted and depended on him and that the Reapers had won the cycle once again.

The ending will leave depressed.
The ening will make you sick.

destroy, but i had a hard time to choose between synthesis and destroy...
#135
Posté 02 avril 2012 - 06:45
I choose to do the synthesis, with the logic being that if everyone was partially synthetic they could communicate like the geth and possibly use other people could upload themselves where they want to be like legion does when he says he has to go and then just falls over. If people could do that it would eliminate the need for the relays.
Im not saying I really liked the ending i just picked it because it was nice for a game to offer something else instead of the typical good /bad choice.

My hubby freaked out when he saw me doing that. I was wearing headphones and the fact it was glowing didn't click. I reminded him it was probably never a kid to begin with (hadn't seen IT theory -- was avoiding spoilers).IrvinTang wrote...

- Lydia: control
- Gil: destroy

I chose the Control ending because I couldn't let Legion's sacrifice be in vain. Though from what I've read and seen, the only real variation in the endings is a color pallet swap.

Destroy. The Reapers are simply too powerful to allow anybody to control them, even Shepard, who is by no means a flawless personality. Synthesis I object to from a moral standpoint- you're re-writing all sentient beings against their will.
The death of the Geth and EDI is regrettable, but it means all other life can be free. It's a sadistic choice, but in my opinion the lesser evil of the three.

Synergy.
I didn't pick it up because I saw it as the right choice, though. All three solutions contradicted my Shepard's past decisions and thus her beliefs. Control? A freaking manifestation of power-hungriness (certainly followed by reaping, no way). Destroy? Backstabbing lines of those who have covered your back. Synergy? A forced erasure of uniqueness.
In a addition, the inability to disapprove just cemented the feeling that Shepard really lost it and I am just about picking a specific taste of defeat. Synergy seemed like a path how to do it with as little casualties as possible.
Now, when I have seen what happens next and what are other choices... If I played it again, I'd probably pick Control. If Shepard's destiny is to transform into a villain, I want to do it in the most stylish way!

My Shepard committed genocide against synthetic life. She had no reason to trust Glowboy on any of the options, but synthesis was too Saren and control was too Illusive Man, and she saw how indoctrination was changing them.
So not trusting Glowboy, she decided that what looked like the worst choice was probably the best. She's also very much a paragon, so if she survived (and I did get the breath scene) she would turn herself over to the authorities for having committed war crimes.

I picked destroy. Not only for the breathing scene, but also because all over the 3 games I had one goal I had to reach somehow: destroy the reapers! Control was never an option for me, because I saw Saren, I saw The Illusive Man and what they have become trying to control something that is able to control you. Well, they are all dead, you know. And synthesis ... Why? Am I God or what? And: Why should I mix all the different races in the galaxy, I learned to respect, with synthetics? Because the war between organics and synthetics will never end? Bulsh*t! Look what I've done: I managed to bring peace to the Quarians and Geth ... So ... Even destroy isn't really MY option I would pick ... Well, I was forced to pick one, so ... Destroy is the winner!

I picked Destroy because is the only one that stops the reapers permanently, and I wanted to kill space casper. I don't like control, because if I die who is going to control the reapers?? And synthesis to me is unethical

I chose Destroy, mostly because I couldn't remember which was which, when it was time to choose. I was perfectly fine with the ending at that time, as I didn't realize the implications of what I had done until later.

I was confused that there was no way to argue the child and I wanted the option to say, "F this S and lets fight the reapers!" but it wasnt there so I chose synthesis. I didnt want to screw over EDI and all the Geth and I obviously didn't have the same goals as TIM, synthesis seemed logical. But it didnt matter as all logic was thrown put the window at this point anyway.

Control.
No genocide of synthetics and no uplifting species before their time.
...still questionable but it's a choice between AIDS, Cancer, and TB. I picked TB.

Green...the first wtf moment
Red...because I was annoyed by green
Blue...because I was annoyed by green and red...and just because it was the final choice
Then I wondered what just happened after seeing all three...

I found Control to be the best choice if the endings are to be taken at face-value.
