Honestly, my first time I was so lost I had no idea what did what. I just choose the blue one not knowing what it did at all. I just completely, utterly confused.

I picked the ending where everything exploded and joker deserted, leaving the normandy stranded on some world.

Played Paragon, so I picked Destroy. No way I force everyone to become robocops or coexist with those machines of Galaxy wiping, no matter how pretty is the godchild trying to paint it.

One AI race dies so thousands of organic ones can exist. How many thousands of races had the Reapers extingused before? It's a more than fair deal. I'd take it even if it's humanity the race that has to be destroyed along with the Reapers.

I picked control. If I'm in control I don't see why I can't just fly them all into the sun, and just leave the Geth alone.

Destroy. The 3 games tell you have do destroy them, so... when i have the chance, why should i not do it?

I chose destroy because it has been Shepard's goal ever since he learned about the Reapers. Choosing Control or Synthesis is an extreme betrayal of what Shepard stood for, against Saren and Illusive Man.

interesting you say this, my original thought after me 2 (before arrival dlc) was, that you would have to sacrifice one starsystem to bottle the reapers up in or blow up the star (has to be a homeworld system because you actually have to bait all the reapers there);
that wouldve been soooo much better than the ending we got now AND it avoids trying to beat the reapers by conventional means.
also, you would have to choose between the homeworlds so you might play the ultimate martyr (earth) or some jackass (pick a basically untouched world) or the pragmatist (sacrifice a world that is already being hit by the reapers but not your own).

(just in case youre wondering i picked destroy but already posted this in this thread, just thought id add this here)

Destroy. Let the cycle end with the death of the Reapers. It was the objective during the entire game.

I chose Control as I didn't want to kill the Geth or EDI and I didn't want to turn everyone into android humans (which seemed to be what the option was). Plus I didn't see how synthesis would help create peace anyway. To me it was a no-brainier. I never understood the objection to Cerberus' idea in the first place. Although why the catalyst couldn't do the controlling I never quite understood.

To be honest I didn't really choose as I hadn't understood which path was which. I came to a Control Console and figured it would give me the choice when I pressed the console. Didn't realise the Control Console was actually the 'Control' console. lol.

I picked control first believing that blue was the full paragon choice. After that I went and did a run through choosing destroy.

Synthesis. No other option is acceptable if you fought tooth and nail for quarian/geth peace.

Nuke the place from orbit. Only way to be sure.

I mean, destroy. It's the only way to be sure the Reapers are stopped. I hate that the Geth and EDE die as a result but taking away the free will of all life for a solution not guaranteed to stop anything just wasn't an option, nor was attempting to maintain control over the Reapers (given one single Reaper mind was "unknowable" to A life form used to connecting directly with the minds of his entire civilization, I don't see how a dead Shepard could control all of them).

To me there was no choice and a terrible outcome and that's even before the sucky cut scene shenanigans begin.

I have no clue about the majority, but I went for Synthesis.

Edit:  I would think though that Destroy is the most popular though.  That's what Shepard and most players set out to do in the first place.

Destroy. I wanted to pick Synthesis, but I felt like Star Child was manipulating me into choosing Synthesis or Control. It wasn't due to IT, upon finishing I had successfully avoided most spoilers, theories, et cetera.

It is whether its telling the truth (I believe it is) or not.

"We need to find a new solution to the cycle problem..."

"You can pick control and basically continue my work, but with you at the helm"

"You can make all entities in the Galaxy transorganic and transynthetic, possibly solving the cycle issue forever"

"However, I know you have thought about destroying us, but I wouldn't recommend it because it doesn't stop the cycles... *cough* don't pick this one please *cough*"
