I for one would love to have individual character inventory with limited slots, not more. My question is, is it even possible? I would prefer that each character has extra slots, much like their equipped item slots where they can store a limited amount of personal items and the shared inventory is only there for picked up items that have not been assigned to a character yet, maybe only 4 slots max.
Is this even possible to do in a mod or something similar?
Say each character has a backpack that holds up to 6 slots.
Individual inventory mod possible??

No one knows if it is possible or not?

My guess is the scripting part would be possible and not that theorically hard, at least as far as I can see without really looking into it, yet once again one will hit the "GUI modification" wall. Meaning I can't really see how to prevent the UI from showing the "party" inventory and force it to only show the items contained in the new six slots "follower inventory"...

You may be able to use some funky scripting to keep track (using an array or somesuch device) of all the items 'assigned' to each characters inventory, then depending on what inventory you are viewing (not sure how you would figure that out), change the items by removing/adding them, or transferring them into a container if thats possible, as just removing and adding would probably remove runes.

What would be cool is when you do the weapon swap icon, the 2nd set screen shows the weapons and a set of inventory slots in place of the body slots.

Besides what Phaenan said, it almost seems like an improvement to me to have a shared inventory - just it would be nice to be able to partition it better.
I mean, don't we all just end up using our companions as mules anyway?

It would be nice to be able to separate the inventories, but I beleive you would also have to modify the stores as well, since from what I've seen the inventory connection carries over into the stores as well (you can even switch characters while in the store screen to change how much a store will give you when selling items).

It's an improvement as far as making things easy, but I would prefer the "harder" management of individual backpacks. This is completely for feel and immersion, over ease of use.
