It always surprise me how people can be more forgiving to their children seeing the insides of people when they are cut, shooted at, etc, than to see the outside of a human without clothes.

It's called moral responsibility. Not everyone wants their children to grow up in leftist promiscous perverts.

Uh, what?  I don't see anything about leftist promiscuous perverts anywhere in this nice analysis of moral responsibility:

I blame the rise of Christian fundamentalist sentiment in the USA.

Admittedly, US-American culture has always been schizophrenic with regards to sexuality, but the surge in what I like to call "moronism" in the post-9/11 decade has only amplified this phenomenon.

The rise?  When was it not there?  It's a two-edged sword in society.  It has done a lot of good as well.

Fundamentalism/extremism has never achieved anything good.
Religion *can* be a positive influence, certainly, but not in its most radical, most reactionary form.
Those are the guys that burn books, promote ignorance, replace scientific research with bronze age myth, vilify any world view other than their own, campaign for a morality that'd be more at home in the ancient middle east, and conceive of the world in terms of "us vs. them".

Your posts aren't exactly high-minded, equitable contributions to a civil exchange, you know?
I suppose Poe's Law strikes again: I honestly cannot tell whether you are just pulling our legs and parodying the most lunatic fringe of US-society, or whether you actually believe everything you write.

I shower in my underwear all the time.  I even wore my boots in once, floor was very slippery.

Occam's Razor applies, methinks.

Anywho, to the original topic- I applaud Bioware for pushing the bounds, but execution is always a challenge.  It seems difficult to strike the balance of gratuitous versus non gratuitous nekkid showering, but seeing how it wasn't completely random (you do have to talk to Traynor a while before that scene shows up), I think it's simply a part of the subplot and characters.

Would have been nice if it had been directed a little differently, though.  You can imply a great deal through camera angles, and get a much more sensual impact (if that was the intent)....

When I first saw the scene I did think it was odd, but not horrifically. I was perplexed as to why they didn't just imply nudity without showing any if that was the problem (i.e. shoulders, bare legs, fogged up reflection in the mirror)

I find my posts very polite. As for your accusation of me trolling you, that's not the case and that would be true horror for you. You, liberals, believe that internet is for you only? That we should be kept in reservations at America's South? That we are too busy praying in Churches? No. We are here and we are gaining strength to win our country back.

To be honest, It's better artistically if you DO have the "Implied Nudity" It forces the Camera to get into more interesting places, and with that we get more interesting visuals than the standard wide shots, and over the shoulder shots.

Polite, sure.  But overtly religious and/or political posts are a fast and easy way to get a thread locked, so let's keep US politico-religious debate outside the ME universe, 'kay?

Err...I hope that your response is ironical(I'm not sure, but that part about leftist promiscous perverts sold me...).So people prefer their children neutered about violence...but want them to run like chickens if they see more than some % of skin >.<?

P.D: If not ironical, please , say so , I have a wall of text to unleash on that response.

It's definitely an American thing. Ever see European film? Everyone is naked. Even men!

Even European shampoo or body lotion or w/e commercials on TV have more nudity in them than that Traynor/Shepard scene. And nobody gives a damn about it.:P

Makes you wonder what's wrong with them US people who think a tiny bit of nudity is worse than viciously murdering a person on the street then mutilating the corpse or whatever other macabre things they can think of...

Oddly shot shower scene leads to... politcal/religious debate. Interesting path for the conversation. So difficult not to get sucked into this sort of thing. Saddly each side is as unwilling to listen as the other. The shower scene is oddly shot. I don't find Shepard getting in while clothed particularly odd though. I thought it seemed fitting. I found it to be a quirky and endearing.

Don't even responed to that  nonsense. That post is extremely passive aggressive and loaded to pick a fight, its far from polite - its bait... Which was the reason why  I edited my response  earlier and just dropped the issue.

I do have to say one thing though Oransel. This "take our country back" thing. We never lost our country. We are all Americans. We all love our country. We haven't been invaded by China or something. If we were invaded by a foreign power that statement would make sense. We need to start working as Americans and stop trying to "take back" our country. We never lost it my friend.

I will make it quick, in that case.

So, we have two situations. The first is some women or man, nude. The second one is a man or women lying in the floor, with the stomach open(it is not even needed the inner organs to be seen, simply a mess of blood and cutted flesh ok?) by a slashing of a knife or sword.

So, for all what is worth, WHY the first is so inmoral, and the second not so. The nude human being, is simply showed as it is. Isn't a bad thing for itself,it simply is the appearance of our species. The second case, whatever was the reason that person has been cutted,  even if that reason is justified, is really a bad thing, someone dying with its guts open, thats something I dont want children to see .   What you think is more shocking for a children?

Neutering a little the situation:
Situation A, seminaked, with some form of cloth covering lower genital. Situation B, and open wound in some accident. What is more harming to a children?

If you think about the two situations , I know you will agree.

Translate this to a game.Yes, its interactive.  For now we ignore the age rating games have.  What is worse, a children playing to kill people with all sorts of weaponry(with green blood if you want), or seeing a nude human taking a shower in a not interactive scene?

The response, I think, is the same as the above examples.Said that, as with movies and books, responsibility to ensure their children dont see/hear/etc  anything bad for them, is for the parents. So, parents out here, USE THE DAMN AGE RATING WHEN BUYING OR LETTING PLAY GAMES OR MOVIES FOR YOUR CHILDRENS. Like movies, in games there is some for children, some for teenages, and some for adults.

P.D:About country etc and all that, internet, has a strenght, as it makes people from diferent nations closer, not that distant "american" "spanish" or "whatever nation one is born".  I say that , for two reasons...first, the strange asumption that all posters in this forum are from and know all the inner specifics of the United States, and second, wtf are you talking about right or left, if your right or left are the same minus three things :P !!!!!!

Children being used to death are growing up as masculine, mature, strong beings not afraid of life. Those who are watching nude pictures are weaklings who want to lick their mothers (and mothers want that too). That is disgusting.
