It's stupid, that's for sure. No doubt it was implemented to appease conservative parents and politicians, blah blah blah. I remember they complained about ME1's sex scenes as well.

Obviously, only drunk people shower with their clothes on. MORE PROOF INTOXICATION THEORY HOLD THE WINE!

Somewhat unrelated, but did anyone else make that scene as awkward as humanly possible? Invite Traynor up for chess, get her into the shower, wait for her to be all, "Depends on if she's interested!"

Then have your Shepard blithely go, "Well, good luck!"

"Uh-..oh." With palpable disappointment.

"And take as long as you want in there!"

"...Thanks."

It's almost as awkward as jumping an underwear-clad person in the shower, in a uniform that is going to be murder to remove when it gets soaked.

I found it funny that the press give Mass Effect issues with nudity and sex....yet in Red Dead Redemption, there's a cutscene with a Mexican railing the hell out of some chick on a table in the middle of the bar....in God of War, there's interactive sex in which you push button to pound the hell out of Aphrodite. Not to mention boobs everywhere.....

These games never get any flack....yet Mass Effect has lingerie on all the human characters you can get intimate with....Blame Fox News lol

Because tasteful nude scenes where you don't actually see anything are more traumatizeing than blood and gore? Apparently? *shrug*

In her defense, that's gotta be awkward. Shep's just sitting there, perving on her.... XD

Even if you end up romancing her that whole scene is just a weird situation to put
yourself in. I can't imagine saying to some chick I barely know, "Hey, wanna use my shower?"

At least... Not without getting slapped in response. Just sayin'.

Actually I can imagine it wouldn't be as awkward as you would think.

Traynor clearly wants sex with Shepard, your Shepard has lead her on and probably wants sex with her too. It would be less awkward and more sex fueled. Basically you wouldn't be caring if it was slightly awkward or not.

I don't get the underpants thing, but it is a game, it doesn't really bother me that much, probably would of been better with steam covering up those parts instead or something. But ah well!

Just throwing in my 2 cents. =]

The media tells me that boobs are disgusting, evil things.  Digital boobs must be covered at all costs!

If the US of A would finally start to grow up, they wouldn't even need all this senseless charade.

To all you soccer mums out there: Your boys probably watched there first porno on their cell phone, when they were twelve, so stop pretending you have to save them form bare boobies.

Man...over here you can see bare boobs on afternoon free tv...

Because Mass Effect is too big of a franchise for them to do a full nude scene, and if there is one thing people get really upset about it's boobs in media. Gratuitous violence, mass murder, genocide, and foul language are all acceptable, but heaven forbid, we show polygonal boobs.

I've showered as many times with my underwear on as I have had sex fully clothed.

You must consider that boobs could produce a massive outcry in the us media about a role playing sex game that corrupts their children.

I don't really want to see virtual bewbs but using Mass Effect 1's classy, classy camera angles would have been better.

Because nudity in games turns people into rapists - Fox News

You're all forgetting the Jack romance in ME2 where they literally do it fully clothed.
Through the fly, I guess.

It was pretty darn stupid. What was worse, Shepard going in fully dressed, lol.

I've only seen the scene on youtube, but that doesn't necisarily make it "un-sexy". More of a spur of the moment type of thing. That said i think they still could have had Traynor "naked" just never showing her front. They do this on prime time TV all the time.

I will say this, I play a MaleShep and I'm jealous that only FemShep's get Traynor. She's an interesting character and actually useful (when it comes to the story).

That part is acceptable in context, passion being the overriding factor, or put more simply, I've done that.

Let them complain. It would only give the game more exposure so that people will want to play it.

Nobody wants to actually take any responsibility for what their kids see. They just want to blame others for their failings.

Blame the media.

"A rated M game with blood and gore. Only adults should play this. BUT OMG BOOBS. We must rage because there is implied nudity that doesn't actually show anything and that is actually TASTEFUL. How could you let the children see this?"

this, it reminds me when Sherlock premiered this season. There was like 5 minutes of scene where a woman was naked and all you saw was from her shoulders up and people FREAKED...in the same scene a CIA man was killed with a gun booby trap and in the same episode there was an entire plane full of dead bodies to thwart a terrorist plot, but apparently shoulders aren't kid friendly enough.

I mean every time I head shot someone in ME3 their head would literally explode.

So Red Dead Redemption and God of War aren't "big" franchises?

The whole shower seen was stupid, who invites someone to their cabin to play chess and then says hey baby wanna shower? My wife actually reloaded the game because the whole thing was absurd.

Felt like it was written by a 12 year old boy who wanted to see a lesbian shower seen.

Rockstar games are big but they're pretty explicitly sold to an older audience.
