Good point.
So not all the fans, just 90% of them.

I'd try more like 5%?  It might seem that the majority believe they are entitled to a different ending, but you're on an internet forum.  Plenty of people play the game and are happy with it and feel no need to cry about it online.

Oh, I don't know, can you point me to a poll that can perhaps back up your numbers?
Anything? Nothing?

I don't see what's wrong with her opinion. Especially since she's being truthful, most of you are being quite whiny and entitled -shrug-

This gem coming from the guy who called asking for an ending that makes sense objectively wrong.

She's supposed to be a professional. Professionals don't make statements like those she posted.

She's a journalist for IGN and a reporter, reporters and journalists write all kinds of opinion pieces. They have a right to that opinion. Do you have to agree with it? Of course not, professionals will make whatever statements they feel like they want to make. Stop being entitled and over sensitive.

People are using the word 'entitled' so much that for them it has lost all meaning and they are now just using it as a mild insult. (case in point)

No we keep using it because it is how the lot of you are acting, believe it or not. Nothing you say, do, or claim will make me think otherwise, all of you, who are demanding a different ending are acting like a bunch of over sensitive, self-entitled, whiny children. It is the gospel truth. You can hide behind your flowery words and explanations and you can point at your charity drive which was really more of you piggy backing a charity to draw attention to yourselves and you can point to the cup cake thing which is really just you trying to bribe bioware, the lengths that you all have gone disgust me and makes me scared that the lot of you are tommorows leaders.

I'm sorry, but her opinion weights nothing.

Chobot: blablablabla...
Me: Shut up, and use your mouth for what it was designed for.

She.licked.a.PSP... You want me to take her seriously?

Don't bother trying reason with him, he was banned a while back for some extremely vulgar threads.
I'm surprised he's back tbh.

They're usually expected to know what material they're talking about. Again if she didn't finish the game she has no room to talk because that's what's making people upset.

They have a right to that opinion.

Again you don't have the right to be a reporter spouting off "opinions" that are completely uninformed about the subject matter--that being the ending of the freaking game.

Do you have to agree with it? Of course not, professionals will make whatever statements they feel like they want to make. Stop being entitled and over sensitive.

No they won't. Professionalism is reflected in your character. I wouldn't expect a waiter to conduct themseles like an ass and call that "professional" simply because they have a profession. Professionalism and integrity as a journalist is not something you recieve because you get a job at IGN. She is clearly not being paid for her opinion if she doesn't even need to be educated on the important part of the game that is sparking complaints. What a shame for women. We can't hope to get our foot into the door unless we do things like this?

Maybe so.  But anyone who thinks more than 5% are actually going to cry all day everyday for a month, send petitions, moan about entitlement, death threat the moderators and generally act like 5 year olds that had their toys took away from them, is also a fool.

Most people get over it.  It's a videogame.

Why do you continuously bring up the death threat thing?  Because one or two nutjobs who obviously need help made those kind of remarks, you're associating it in EVERY POST OF YOURS to the tens of thousands against the ending who didn't say anything of the sort?

You lose any validity in your argument when you attribute an isolated comment made by one or two individuals to a large group of individuals.

Ok you might have not threatened people.  Or sent cakes.  Or partook in that disgusting abuse of a childrens charity thing that went on.  But at the end of the day you said you work 40+ hours a week right?

So I'm talking to an adult right?

An adult... who has spent a month... complaining about the end of a videogame.

Jessica Chobot called people entitled and said that people were guilty of a ridiculous whinefest.  Go take a step back and look at things that have happened and been said... over a video game.

It's like spoilt kids or something, i find it really funny how people are legit upset over something.  God knows what would happen if something important happened.

If you guys put the energy into opposing government policies and things that you do into the ending of a videogame, think of how better the world could be.

If we listened to you a month ago, BioWare wouldn't have responded at all.

Sure. But nobody's VO in Mass Effect comes close to the terribleness of Marina Sirtis, and I never see the hate for her or her character.

The terrible VOing mostly generates hate for Allers, not Chobot herself until now I suppose. And it isn't just the acting.

Besides, Sirtis is Deanna Troi. And Troi always brings home the bacon.

Jessica can write whatever she likes on her personal twitter.  It is not reflective of her employer or Bioware's opinions.

HAHAHA...you do realize people can get fired over facebook/twitter comments correct? Especially if they reflected poorly on a company that a person works for?

Tell me how is she wrong? Almost every thread is someone whining about how Bioware isn't cool anymore or about how starchild doesn't make sense or about colours.

And the majority of people believe they should get a new ending and they should get it free.

Whining and entitled seems quite spot on to me.

When you're an actor in a production, you need to be professional about that. When you do an editorial on your own work, especially when you haven't experienced the entire production, it's unprofessional. It's called a conflict of interest, something IGN as a whole has been having.

You are lumping a lot of people into the same
group that shouldn't be, and it shows that you really aren't paying
attention.

Most people get over it.  It's a videogame.

Alternatively, it's a consumer product that didn't live up to expectations.

Or, this is an internet web forum, get over it.

HA! It's funny because you guys actually care.

If you're actually insulted by this, then you fit the description, and if you fit the description of a "whiny entitled fan" then I actually agree with her. Otherwise, I really don't care.

The biggest problem with the retake people isn't that they are whiny. It's that they fail to ignore the trolls and elitist pricks who seek out threads like this so they can start s**t.

You never actually watch CNN or any other news channel do you? Or any news program where there are debates and discussions going on. Ever watch Bill o'reilly and others I could name? I don't think you know how reporting and journalism works these days. Also, it was her blog, not an official IGN topic. But even so I see the journalists on IGN giving their explicit opinions all the time. As well as other video game review sites and news sites. So where you have this idea that 'professionals' are not allowed to give their opinion is beyond me.

The irony in all of what you said?  Right back at you.

If you defenders put as much energy into opposing government policies and things that you do in defending a lousy ending, think of how better the world would be.

See how it can work both ways?

It's funny how those against the ending are "obsessed over something not important", but those who post JUST AS MUCH but in defense of the ending are ... what?  Just killing time?

In all fairness the community has crucified just for the communities sake to complain about something it seems. I have no problem with Chobot and her performance in ME3. Honestly she isn't the bimbo people make her out to be and her performance in ME3 I didn't find anymore out of the ordinary that most of the other minor character in ME3.

I respect the opinions of others not to like her performance, what I don't like is that people have taken the opportunity to crucify her because of it.
