I posted this on the wrong section, so I'm asking here. I'm an indie game developer. I want to know if I can use the toolset for game development that is not-profitable/non-commercial. Basically will be a total conversion, but I want to go as The Witcher developers did with the neverwinter nights 2 game engine.
Is that feasible? If I want to later profit, can I actually purchase a license to use the game engine and erase the dragon age dependencies? Just asking before try anything.
Even so, if anyone is interested in knowing what I have in mind for the game or Total Conversion, here's a short version of the GDD:

1) witcher used nwn's aurora engine and not nwn2's electron
2) as a single person total conversions are in almost all cases no option
3) i highly doubt that a total conversion without access to the engine source is manageable. depends on what you want to create but there's too much stuff hardcoded
4) as a private person i doubt that you have enough cash for a license
5) after browsing through your doc you should be better jumping off to beth using their gamebryo engine. what you want can't be done with just the toolset of da:o
6) you mentioned the usage of ue3 - then go for their free sdk

I'm still using the U3 sdk, it's not the first time I'm developing something, I was asking about licenses actually, but yes, I've seen the toolset and it's very hardcoded, that's why I was asking.
