I understand the ending hate, but I really can't see them as worse than AT&T and Comcast.

People are unhappy, they're expressing it without torches and pitchforks, what's the problem?

Sometimes I think that if gamers put their minds to it they'd have already conquered the world by now.

Well, we don't have AT&T and Comcast here in Europe (at least not in Sweden), but EA is worldwide. So there's your explanation.

I expect them to win to, just because they beat out AT&T and Comcast, I can't think of any more hated companies than those lol.

Why not? It's a vote and people do not like the business practices of EA, same as they don't like AT&T or Bank of America.

Buying up smaller companies in a creative industry, driving out shoddy titles in as little time as possible and then gutting them once they aren't profitable (thanks to you because you made them churn out crappy games) is pretty low.

They deserve it. They constantly release game filled with glitches every year like FIFA.

Plus there is this from their CEO:

Maybe it is, but if people want to vote that way then I guess that's their prerogative! It shows how passionate people are about these issues.

who gives...

you think most people in these forums are taking the time to vote for EA?

I only learned about this because you posted about it.

EA is losing for this:

"EA, meanwhile, has made a habit of sniffing out some of the best smaller video game companies, which are then acquired for their intellectual properties or to remove a competitor from the marketplace. Mass consolidation in any industry rarely works out to the benefit of the consumer, but the gaming business is one that regulators, the courts and the mainstream media have by and large ignored.

Another thing these two seemingly very different companies have in common is their desire to nickel and dime consumers at every turn.

EA is among the industry leaders in pushing for more and more "microtransactions" in users' gaming experience. For its major titles it seems to be creating exclusive and add-on content, not with the game in mind, but with the sole intention of milking consumers who may not realize how quickly those small purchases add up.

And unlike the fee-happy discount airlines that use the "everything is a la carte" model to keep base prices low, a new EA game will run you $60 for the most basic version available, making it easily the most expensive form of home entertainment. "

Fixed?

Tbh, Without Mass Effect or Bioware even existing, i'd be more than comfortable questioning EA's humanity.

Ummm you do know that EA has scamming and cheated many of their customers right?
And thats just an irrefutable fact.
Not to mention all the cash grabs they are throwing into every single game these days, from Battlefield 3 to Mass Effect 3 MP.
