EA publishes far better games than the likes of Capcom (Which is by far a worse company than EA) Looking at my game collection its hard for me to even find a good game that doesn't have EA on it I think Arkham City/Asylum and Borderlands are the only ones. But Borderlands crew released a game far more shameful than ME3...Duke Nukem Forever...which makes Mass Effect 3 look like gold compared to aluminum.

So your argument is based on your taste in games rather than the business practices of said company, which is the whole point of the voting/competition?

How many people on here are voting them the worst either because

A) The mass is doing it and they want to feel cool too.
B) They are doing it solely based off of Mass Effect 3.
C) All of the above

Now remove those people from this voting and look at the realistic figures.

Thank you for considering this very real look into why poll systems are garbage.

I don't think you're fully aware of what EA has been doing to the gaming industry since the mid 90s.

EA has changed the direction of games to a more corporate interested direction and destroyed some amazing IPs in the process.

A lot of people used to look at the serious emergence of the game industry with a lot of hope and excitement. A lof of gamers went through years of being classed as outcasts for their hobbies.  Gaming started getting traction as a serious contender for a new art form, an adults entertainment and kids entertainment at the same time vastly different to anything else that has ever been available to people.

It was a tough time for a lot of companies with great ideas and concepts too. Some of those companies were bought out by EA then dismantled and destroyed. Their IPs put to some dusty box in an archival storage. Game franchises and awesome concepts were canned and copying the trends became mainstay. Then the milking of consumers begun.

EA put gaming on a very bad path. Worse still because they started off as something truly hopeful and awesome.

You can call me company bashing or whatever you like, it doesn't change history and doesn't change what EA continues to do.

If the vote actually woke EA up and realized "oh we have a bad reputation maybe we should change" I totally would put my vote down on them.

The Mass Effect 3 ending- and I felt the need to clarify with italics that it is the ending, not the game as a whole that is complete crap- is merely a symptom, not a cause.  EA has long since deserved being called to the carpet for their business practices.  Now, worse than companies like Bank Of A, or Comcast or Sprint (f*ing Sprint) or even Activision, EA's vitriolic best bud?   That is up for debate; but I'm not at all surprised that EA is up there in the finals.

"EA: The pattern has repeated itself more times than you can fathom. Game companies rise, evolve, advance, and at the apex of their glory, they are extinguished. Bioware is not the first. By utilizing our funding, game companies develop along the paths we desire. They exist because we allow it, and will end because we demand it."

Don't get me wrong - I dislike many of EA's business practices.
But Bank of America makes them look like amateurs when it comes to evil business practices - I mean how much blame can you put on EA for destroying the economy?

Fact also stands that on December 20th 2011, EA ripped off tens of thousands, if not hundreds of thousands of their paying customers in Battlefield Play4Free.

These are just one of the black ink blotches that tarnishes EA's reputation.

EA earned this nomination on its own :)

posting this here may ensure them getting the first place, but that doesn't change that they where runner ups long before it was cool to vote for EA

It's beyond "much."

But as far as video game companies go, EA is an embarrassment to the industry and its consumers.

Anyone remember how they marketed Dante's Inferno?

You really think that is just because of the ending of a game that got out in March?
You give us too much credit good Sir.

Well, real companies are bound by laws whilst software (EA) can do whatever they like, so I can understand them taking more flak.

This thread actually might have given EA a few more thousand votes by bringing attention to the vote here.
