Nah. I got all of the achievements one time through. And with the lame ass quest system and horrible ending I may not play it again, except for MP of course. Consider that I played ME1 about 20 times and ME2 a little more than that.

I didn't play it a second time, I dragged myself through the game.

No. But started a new playthrough of ME1 just to remember what it was like to play a ME game with a cogent ending.

...Currently dealing with the Rachni Queen, and Wrex is shouting at me for not giving her an acid bath, lol. He has the best lines.

/sigh at what the series has become.

Yeah, I played through first on my ultra paragon femshep engineer.

I started two more games, one is an ME2 default import (shotgun infiltrator) and the other is a renegade from ME1 (vanguard). Just kind of trying to decide which to focus on first since they are both fun to play.

I gotta admit though, it's just kind of depressing to play them knowing none of the little differences matter in the end.

I was on a site where people like us here were being passed off as a minority. To me almost the whole world seems to have trouble with this ending. How did it get out the door like this,,seriously?

I am on my fem-Shep play through. It took me a week to even look at another video game. It was that depressing.

Because everyone agrees that the ending
could've been better. I liked the ending, but that doesn't mean it does
not have room for improvements. I can't think of why many in this
community think that there's only 2 opinions about the ending.  For some
people its just "It sucks!" or "Its very good!"... Can't people have an
opinion that is somewhere in between?

My opinion is...
Do I like the ending? Yes
Is the ending disappointing? Yes
Does the ending make sense? Yes (but not all of it)
Does the ending sucks? No...

So yeah...
they're not "nearly as bad" as they're made out to be...

Perhaps it's just word choice, but for me if I like an ending, I say "I liked the ending".  I wouldn't describe the ending to a game I liked as "not nearly as bad as it's made out to be".

For example, KOTOR's ending.  A lot of folks felt it was a bit too cheesy, a bit too "happiness and rainbows" (assuming LS).  If I were to comment on the ending, I'd say, "I disagree.  I liked the ending".  I wouldn't say,  "it's not nearly as bad as folks are making it out to be".

I'm not saying they aren't bad, just that they arent that bad ;) Again, like Dragon Age 2 :P

Weird thing is I was okay with DA2's ending.  I didn't like how we were railroaded down a certain path (ie. having to fight BOTH "bosses" no matter who you sided with), but the ending itself didn't bother me.

I think the difference for me between the ME3 ending and the DA2 ending is, in the end our choices didn't really matter to either ending, but at least DA2's wasn't nonsensical.  It didn't really come out of left field.  We saw the conflict building between mages and templars throughout the game, and the linear ending was the result of that conflict.

In ME3, however, we're fighting the reapers, trying to unite civilizations, trying to find a way for all life to survive as individuals, while at the same time working together for a common goal.  Then in the last 10 minutes, some god child we've never met before gives us a choice between A, B, and C, and pretty much makes all we did before that irrelevant.

At first i hoard MP, then i finally decided to play SP(even though everyone was whining about it) and found it almost as good as the first 2. Then i started another run on insanity(zzz easy) but then i felt like MP again and havent had time to finish the second playthrough.

With the final outcome being the same three colored futile conclusion a replay seems rather pointless for all three Mass Effect games. Several very different conclusions would have provided incentive to replay but as it is, knowing it all winds up at the same place no matter what you do makes a replay a waste of time.

IMO It doesnt matter what the cinematic ending is. What matters is how YOU feel about the choices you made through the 3 games.

Sure I'm doing a new playthrough...of Deus Ex: Human Revolution. I didn't even finish my FIRST playthrough of ME3! I stopped near the end of the earth fight, before Marauder Shields.

You are brave. The game was such a steaming pile of poo compared to the original DX.

Not a true comparison.  DX was done in the dinosaur era of PC games...barely a couple steps above the original Duke Nukem.

I LIKE DE:HR...and Adam Jenson is just plain bad-ass (listened to a youtube interview with the Elias dude who voiced Adam...they worked on that game, the voice stuff, for 4 years!  If Bioware does anything similar with ME games than this thing, including ME3, was started back when the earth was still young).

haha I guess i am slightly biased, since the original is my favorite game of all time. easily over 150 playthroughs so far lol.
DX HR was not bad as a game, especially by todays standards, even though it had too many annoying dumbed down features. Just cant really compare it to the original :P
Anyway back on topic.. Mass Effect 3! :o

yeah doing a second - temporizing until I know what BW's up to - The dialogs are really rich and varied and it's nice to see how they continue to deepen my current character

Still, ME3 falls into the category of "Aside from that Mrs. Lincoln, how did you enjoy the play?"

Just what are these games with tons of endings? Because I never seem to play them. BG1: Kill Sarevok, don't kill sarevok. BG2... does it even have any choices in the ending without the expansion? Planescape: Torment you just a couple choices of which way to die. ME1 & 2 had pretty limited ending choices, too.

The way the ending was implemented was terrible. But lack of player choice wasn't the problem. Even the space magic ending wasn't innately terrible. They told us on Mars it was going to be space magic. It was the choices themselves that were badly designed and/or explained.

Currently on my 8th playthrough. I feel like taking a break after finishing this one, but I'm thinking of another class build to play as. The game is just too fun for me to put down despite my slight disappointment in the ending.

Second playthrough (NG+) and it's such a chore. I can't bring myself to play more than 45 minutes / 1 hour every evening. Then I go back to lurking BSN.

The only thing that makes me feel good is this epic Marauder Shields comic on Deviantart.

I'm kinda slugging through...I'll get all my six Sheps through, mainly to see how the romances pan out. Personally though, I'm really only replaying it due to how much fun I find being a Vanguard.

I finished last weekend, having avoided all spoilers (though I knew there was an ending controversy). I expected a DA:O type finish, where 1-2 options were a sacrifice (my favourite DA:O game had my Warden dying) and there was a scrolling text detailing the results of your decisions... but was left gobsmacked. I am so soured I don't want to replay it, just to get an appalling middle-finger result...

I'm on my last shep right now which is basically more or less a completionist playthrough. Want to do a new game + with at least one of them and then my insanity playthrough but i'm not sure when that will be if I even get around to it
