I did a second including multi for best possible score.Didn't help.I didn't enjoy it but I figured I would do the second for GP.I won't do a third. Two missions I think are awesome and the rest are just so so.Side quests and journal..well I can honestly say are better than ending. That is about it.

I finished last weekend, having avoided all spoilers (though I knew there was an ending controversy). I expected a DA:O type finish, where 1-2 options were a sacrifice (my favourite DA:O game had my Warden dying) and there was a scrolling text detailing the results of your decisions... but was left gobsmacked. I am so soured I don't want to replay it, just to get an appalling middle-finger result...

The fact that they didn't do the detailing text blew my mind. Seriously how hard would that have been :pinched:

I'm on my third playthrough. I'm still incredibly depressed about the ending and how pointless everything seems now, but the rest of the game is still great.
I also can't give up the idea I had that I would be able to get any gaming fix I needed from the ME series. I don't want to give up that idea, but the ending is just so bad.

I'm waiting for the face patch to be implemented before I replay. I'm hoping it'll be right around the time when we get Mass Effect DLC, or when news hits in April

Finding more things wrong with this game other than the ending every time I start this up. All those make it actually PAINFUL to go through the game. I've done two and a quarter playthroughs in the first month. I went through at least 6 in the month I got ME2.

Im finding that I was able to push aside issues first time around, but after realising how bad the game ended, on subsequent playthroughs more cracks are appearing and the games flaws are glaring.

Its still a great game with some awesome moments - but some serious cut corners.

just did a NG+ and finished about 5 minutes ago. came straight to the forum so talking about the ending is easy to get into.

if youve ever for whatever reason accidentally eaten poop before, youd remember what im feeling right about now.

i did want to mention that i noticed some small tid bits of change, or maybe i was just really baked. the game really feals linear this time. its all easily replaced from starchild on and we all know that rhyme.

I have played twice and started a third playthrough, however it has weared off. My choices do nothing at all except Wrex's situation.

I dunno. You could also save Mordin, kill off Tali, destroy the Quarians, kill off Miranda, kill off Kaidan / Ash, if you wanted. Some fun changes. :D

I plan to replay through just because I played ME1 and ME2 through multiple times and picked widly different choice and its nice to see those flow through, ie, ME1 I have saves with the council alive or dead, or ME2, I have saves where I kept or destroyed the collector base. Saves where Wrex is alive or dead.

Plus I want that Insanity Acheivement!

I have insanity achievement on 1 and 2, and there is a couple of spots with Banshees and Brutes that were tough enough on Normal.

I know the pain is intense right now, but you have no one to blame but yourself. You knew you shouldn't have done it.

Indeed. If the endings had been satisfying at least, I probably wouldn't even care about things like lack of side missions or autodialogue, etc. :crying:

I was disappointed to see no vehicles. I miss the Mako! Mostly because I just like to challenge myself on the most ridiculous mountains.

Going to make it. Going to make it. Almost at the top.... maybe if I drive sideways and wriggle it up I can make it.... DOH! I fell 1000 feet. Yet I am still alive? Yaay! Now to find a Thresher Maw.... hmm let's look for a precariously flat and vastly open spot of land.

I love ME1 and ME2. I sometimes wonder what ME3 may have been if it was still under the Microsoft Studios banner. I guess we will never know.

HA! I did the same thing. The Mako was fun. I didn't like scouring planets for resources, but I did like finding remote bases and attacking geth with my Mako. Good times.

Played through twice, tried a third, just don't see the point. So all my 12 saves are just going to go to waste, really sucks they did this to what was my favorite game (games) of all time.

Honestly I haven't even started playing it and I've had it since day 1. I am waiting to see Bioware's endgame (content of Extended Cut and DLC) before starting it so I can know how to temper my expectations and figure out if it'll be worth multiple playthroughs. Luckily I got plenty of games that are not choice driven to play in the mean time.

On my second playthrough. I just want to see everything that changes during the game, because of the choices I had beforehand!!

And I still have some playthroughs waiting :) Can only hope this coming extended cut will make things a bit better, at least :)

Yes, and I'm glad that I did. In the first playthrough I didn't go talk to joker that often. I strongly recommend talking to Joker after every main story quest - watched a fantastic 'argument' scene between him and Shep last night! I'm still going to finish the second for the sake of getting the 'red' ending (maybe with the breath this time), after that I'm sure I'll play again just not to the very end.

Definite depth hidden in the game though!

I'm doing a second run through. I was waiting for a HD78XX series videocard so I stopped my first play through right before TIM base. Thinking I would play them with everything at max for the final showdown. What a disappointment. I'm now doing second play through so I can experience the whole game at max setting and with a previous save where I kept the data that would keep Eve alive but I'll probably just play through to the TIM base and then just call it a day as I don't really want to go through the current endings again. It's a sad state of affair when you care more about what happened in the early part of the game more than you do the ending.

Strange as it may sound. I think I would be less upset (and much more interested in replaying the game) if there was no ending. Like you get to the end of the final mission and start walking towards that thing that transport you elsewhere and the game goes "The End". It would at least let me imagine my own ending rather than have the current ending stuck in my head.

I've played through twice, but it takes a whole different mindset.  If you are going to play it again, do it for the gameplay and for the "moments" and interactions between characters that make the game so memorable.  Don't do it to make different choices hoping for a different result (which is why I replayed the other two games so many times).

I've tried, twice. Feels... tainted. Unless extended cuts does something beyond what it seems (i.e. an ending change rather than just writing a poor concept slightly better - and let's face it, you can't turn a bad concept into something satisfying no matter how hard you try) I think most of my Shepards from ME2 will live on only in headcanon.
