I finished last weekend, having avoided all spoilers (though I knew there was an ending controversy). I expected a DA:O type finish, where 1-2 options were a sacrifice (my favourite DA:O game had my Warden dying) and there was a scrolling text detailing the results of your decisions... but was left gobsmacked. I am so soured I don't want to replay it, just to get an appalling middle-finger result...
The fact that they didn't do the detailing text blew my mind. Seriously how hard would that have been

I also can't give up the idea I had that I would be able to get any gaming fix I needed from the ME series. I don't want to give up that idea, but the ending is just so bad.

Finding more things wrong with this game other than the ending every time I start this up. All those make it actually PAINFUL to go through the game. I've done two and a quarter playthroughs in the first month. I went through at least 6 in the month I got ME2.
Im finding that I was able to push aside issues first time around, but after realising how bad the game ended, on subsequent playthroughs more cracks are appearing and the games flaws are glaring.
Its still a great game with some awesome moments - but some serious cut corners.

if youve ever for whatever reason accidentally eaten poop before, youd remember what im feeling right about now.
i did want to mention that i noticed some small tid bits of change, or maybe i was just really baked. the game really feals linear this time. its all easily replaced from starchild on and we all know that rhyme.

I have played twice and started a third playthrough, however it has weared off. My choices do nothing at all except Wrex's situation.
I dunno. You could also save Mordin, kill off Tali, destroy the Quarians, kill off Miranda, kill off Kaidan / Ash, if you wanted. Some fun changes.
I plan to replay through just because I played ME1 and ME2 through multiple times and picked widly different choice and its nice to see those flow through, ie, ME1 I have saves with the council alive or dead, or ME2, I have saves where I kept or destroyed the collector base. Saves where Wrex is alive or dead.
Plus I want that Insanity Acheivement!
I have insanity achievement on 1 and 2, and there is a couple of spots with Banshees and Brutes that were tough enough on Normal.

just did a NG+ and finished about 5 minutes ago. came straight to the forum so talking about the ending is easy to get into.

I know the pain is intense right now, but you have no one to blame but yourself. You knew you shouldn't have done it.

Indeed. If the endings had been satisfying at least, I probably wouldn't even care about things like lack of side missions or autodialogue, etc.

Going to make it. Going to make it. Almost at the top.... maybe if I drive sideways and wriggle it up I can make it.... DOH! I fell 1000 feet. Yet I am still alive? Yaay! Now to find a Thresher Maw.... hmm let's look for a precariously flat and vastly open spot of land.
I love ME1 and ME2. I sometimes wonder what ME3 may have been if it was still under the Microsoft Studios banner. I guess we will never know.

I was disappointed to see no vehicles. I miss the Mako! Mostly because I just like to challenge myself on the most ridiculous mountains.

HA! I did the same thing. The Mako was fun. I didn't like scouring planets for resources, but I did like finding remote bases and attacking geth with my Mako. Good times.

I loved the game but I just can't bring myself to replay it after knowing what the endings will be.
Strange as it may sound. I think I would be less upset (and much more interested in replaying the game) if there was no ending. Like you get to the end of the final mission and start walking towards that thing that transport you elsewhere and the game goes "The End". It would at least let me imagine my own ending rather than have the current ending stuck in my head.
