Im currently replaying Mass Effect 2 and i came across the quarian, volus, and c-sec officer arguing over the credit chit. I resolved the issue and did the paragon interrupt however i seem to remember giving her credits to buy a ship as well in my last playthrough. Does anybody know if there are any prerequisites that need to be met in order to do this. It sincerely makes me feel bad for this girl every time i do her mission and id really like to help her get back to the fleet.

Never had that option with her, but it sounds a bit like the quarian guy stuck selling salvage on Omega where you can give him credits for his ticket off. Sure that's not what you were thinking of?

I'm working through it again now. There wasn't even a greyed out option to give her credits so it probably doesn't exist. Which makes sense, even a used ship would cost a lot of credits, more than you likely have at one time in the entire game. Possibly if you didn't spend them on anything at all.
