Part of me feels I am starting to get over it, but I don't want to. Because getting over it means getting over the series. And I don't want to not care about this series. I want to love it and keep buying DLC and merch and being a total dork (but a happy one).

And I can't do that right now because of how it ends.

Ending wasn't great but I was literally over it about a day later.  It's a far better game than most on the market, I would have preferred a different ending to the series but the game was fine.  Tbh i would much rather they changed the auto dialogue than the endings.  It's all gone a bit far with the hate.

I'm no longer perpetually sad, but that's probably because I'm holding my breath for PAX.

I fully expect another ****storm on these forums if BioWare fail to deliver, and I will once again be a part of it.

Still with a bit of interest, to wait until this friday, after that, whatever happens, I won't care anymore.
I will either be frankly disappointed and don't care, or be happy that something cool's coming and move on to another thing while we wait.

Getting there. But the moment I stop being angry about it, is the moment I will no longer care for anything Mass Effect. And that sucks.

First couple days I wasn't over it. Really pissed and upset at Bioware's fail.

In fact the first day, I didn't even feel like playing ANY games cause I was that let down by how one of my favorite series just turned into one of my biggest disappointments in my gaming history.

Now, I am over it. Still keeping tabs on all of this because A. the movement itself, as well as the overal significance of this to gaming as a whole, is very interesting, and B. I still wouldn't mind getting a better ending than what I got.

Current stage I'm at is "it's just a game",

But new information comes in and makes me more frustrated - more at the writers, in a "what the hell were you thinking!?" way. I saw the "deleted scenes" on the Last Hours app yesterday, they just annoyed me more. It's frustrating because there was so much potential squandered, they could have done something truly wonderful with that they'd set up with #1 and #2 and #3 is just [insert fart noise].

Nope, still hurt and still a MASSIVE fan of the universe so I can't let it go out in such an awful way.

This. While I'm not thinking that much about the endings anymore, Bioware's reaction to this still defines what I'm going to do. If they fix it, I may buy additional DLC and other games from them. If not, then bye bye Bioware. After KOTOR2 and DA2, ME3 was the final "thing" (argh, missing a word here) that showed me that some of BW's writers don't know ANYTHING about story writing. And I won't pay for that anymore.

I spent 300 + hours playing ME1 and 2. It would be nice if they make new endings that make sense.

I wonder if they truly understand they had a golden trilogy scifi in there hands and made it slip primarely because of the nonsensical ending.

But whatever the message after PAX I will move on, but have been glad to being a part of the Retake movement.  I do think all of us made a difference if alone by stating that a crappy ending will not do and consistency of a story is important.  I however think it will take time for gaming compagnies to take our statements into account and act upon it.  Compagnies are so used to dictated what we should like or not, so for now it is still in voque to hide behind artistic license and such.

PAX, and every other Bioware panel or press release in the future, will re-open the wound. That is unless the ending is fixed somehow.

The day I 'get over it' is the day I abandon BioWare as a company. I'm still holding out for them to fix it. Don't let us down BioWare!

Bioware's writers should probably be ashamed for what they churned out and stuck on to an otherwise great game

I'm posting here so I'm not over it. Though the emotional rage/sadness I had when I beat the game is gone. I just come here hoping for some info if things are going to change, and I do like the discussion on other aspects of the game too. Hopefully soon enough we will find out what BW is going to do about this and I can put this matter behind me.

I can't say I actively feel the same powerful emotions I felt when I first finished (depressed, angry, betrayed etc.) But am I really over it, no, because I'm still holding out for a better ending.

I'd like to think I'm over it... but I keep coming back here, and I'm actually having Mass Effect dreams, so clearly I am not. It's not consuming my every waking moment though, just subconsciously apparently. Hell, they're some of the most exciting dreams I've ever had so I'm not too bothered right now :D

Nope still not over it. They wrecked an awesome franchise, just for the lulz.

Torch the IP and run.

I hope C&C works out for them as a worthy replacement. /sarcasm

Give EVE online a try, they've polished it up A LOT over the last few years. For me it's scratching the space game itch ME3 was slotted for. After the ME3 story wreck, I'm really enjoying the sandbox aspect. I can do what I want without fear of a Bioware developer blowing it all up for the sake of "teh controversy and speculations!1!"

I've beaten the game about four times now (all imports), and I think by the fourth viewing of the "ending" I've come to some conclusions.

FOR ME, it isn't worth being upset over anymore. The ending is still terrible and Bioware's writers should probably be ashamed for what they churned out and stuck on to an otherwise great game, but I'm out of the-hold-the-line-give-me-a-new-ending phase. I still want one, but I don't particuarly care one way or another if I get it anymore. That makes me a feel a little guilty, actually.

All I'm really left with at this point is curiosisty to see what they're going to do.

What about you folks? Still as angry/upset/confused/whatever?

I'm in the amused state of mind, considering they are getting so much flak from non-game sources like Forbes. They really did create the perfect PR storm; quite the sight watching a cat 5 PR tornado topple their reputation like a cheap twig hut.

Now I'm just curious to see what comes of this if anything at all.
