Ending wasn't great but I was literally over it about a day later.  It's a far better game than most on the market, I would have preferred a different ending to the series but the game was fine.  Tbh i would much rather they changed the auto dialogue than the endings.  It's all gone a bit far with the hate.

So you were physcially above the ending? Hmmm.

I've beaten the game about four times now (all imports), and I think by the fourth viewing of the "ending" I've come to some conclusions.

FOR ME, it isn't worth being upset over anymore. The ending is still terrible and Bioware's writers should probably be ashamed for what they churned out and stuck on to an otherwise great game, but I'm out of the-hold-the-line-give-me-a-new-ending phase. I still want one, but I don't particuarly care one way or another if I get it anymore. That makes me a feel a little guilty, actually.

All I'm really left with at this point is curiosisty to see what they're going to do.

What about you folks? Still as angry/upset/confused/whatever?

Can't be upset over it forever... I'm simply at the point where if I don't see a satisfactory ending, they're just not getting my money again.  Plain and simple.

I guess you meant Thessia?

Earth is a mess. Take the war hero money and set up a neighborhood on Rannoch for the normandy crew.

I was never mad or angry about it, but I joined the movement to show to the developing companies that people have a bigger IQ than the average table in their living room (which, by the way, would have managed to design a better ending).

In cases such as this I just make my decisions and stick with them. If the DLC they produce is not free and doesn't give us a new ending instead of "clarifying" this one (as if this is ever possible), I won't buy another EA/BioWare game unless after extensive and thorough research on how good the game was designed.

I will probably design a Mass Effect pen-and-paper RPG at some point to play with some friends and keep the Universe alive.

I have been considering that myself actually. Granted, I have a unique setting that dabbles more into fantasy for a blend of both the aforementioned genre and Sci-fi, however much of my inspiration of lore has derived from Mass Effect. I have further contemplated shifting more toward this ideal but like what I have thus far. Suppose, we each keep the world alive in our own way.

I have a lot of downtime at work. Might as well fill it with being annoyed on the forums, no?

I've accepted that BioWare/EA destroyed one of my top 3 favorite gaming franchises of all time (spanning 20+ years of gaming). I've accepted that the people working for BioWare/EA are proven liars and cannot be trusted. I've accepted that I will likely never purchase a BioWare/EA product again.

After accepting those things, yeah, I'm over it. They ruined their grand finale. Stain on them. C'est la vie.

I'm at the point where I debate whether or not I should return my copy. The ending doesn't fit with the rest of the series. The clarification of the ending would very likely fail to live up to its expectation, and I think we'll see another wave of angry people returning their games from disappointment.

after playing ME2s comic book story, i really didnt expect much out of ME3. the only reason i would have expected anything awesome was because of ME1, but alot of that had to do with drew karpysinksi, or so it seems. also, the forumites in here really had me going that bioware knows what they are doing. maybe vintage bioware does and i got to the party late, but other then feeding into my ADD of needing to inish the story, id say ME1 was the start and finish of bioware games for me.

ME2 saved me from utter dissapointment before it was too late.

i guess you could say ME2 is my marauder shields.

The present is where I live. As of now, Mass Effect 3 isn't something I can recommend to anyone who expects an ending on par with the other two.

The ending is bad.

That does not change until or unless they decide to do something about it. They may, they may not. As of now, ME3 isn't something I want to replay.

Over it? It is what it is. If talking about it gets them to improve things, then great.  Thing is, I know they can do better.  They have done better before.

I'm not as angry as before but I doubt I'll forget it. If a DLC comes out and fixes it (none of this clarification bull though) I'll forgive but remember to take whatever a dev states with a grain of salt. Otherwise Bioware has lost a sale for all of their games.

I haven't been expecting this to end well for anyone for about 2 weeks or so.  It's a debacle and I can't see how it can be fixed with any degree of ease.  I'm still here because I'm interested in the whole effect-of-fan-outrage-on-the-relationship-with-Bioware thing and to see stuff crash and burn.  Sounds a bit unfair perhaps but I have a genuine interest in creative stuff, creators and their relationship with their audience.  I'm interested to see how this is going to work out.  In other news, while playing MP, I am planning what other games I will be playing over the summer.  The original plan: play ME3 till Christmas, is obviously untenable now.

Still not over it. I love this series and this ending is such a let-down and a bad way for it to go out.

I'm in the same boat.  No series had me really getting up about it in quite some time.  I think that's why I'm so vocally annoyed with this game.  If I wasn't expecting much (Deus EX HR for example) a bad ending is just a "meh" to me.

I was expecting filet minion, I got some chicken strips that were a little overcooked and they forgot the bbq sauce.

I'ts funny because I made a thread yesterday about not holding the line until pax, yet I find myself posting this lol.
Honestly though, my last string of hope is firmly attached on Indoc Theory... Because Shepard has taught me to think like her and be strong like her... I can see through it =P

No, I'm not "over it." I'm not losing sleep over it, and I'm not as crushingly depressed about it as I was, but I fully intend to remain holding the line until Bioware does what it said it would and fixes the endings. I respect your feelings, but at the same time, I think posts like this might give them the impression that if they just wait us out, we'll all just "get over it." I'm holding the line because I truly love the ME franchise and I'm deeply distraught at Bioware's pointless and poorly written destruction of their own intellectual property. Shepard deserves better, the ME universe deserves better, we as ME fans deserve better, and future ME games deserve better. That's why I'll hold the line as long as it takes.

It's been almost 6 months for me now, and I'm still upset about these endings, ever since the script leak.

The intensity of my unhappiness is starting to burnout though. I think PAX will be the turning point, most likely we'll know whether Bioware will admit they screwed up and fix it, reveal some dastardly plan they had all along and whip out the real endings, or they'll fob us off with more detailed explanations and an epilogue as if we're idiots that just couldn't grape their vision.

The first two will have me throwing money at them, the third will have me selling all the Mass Effect stuff I own.

I really hope it's not the third option, but I expect t will be, and I'll most likely never stop feeling upset about it.

To an extent. I'm not up in arms frothing rage anymore, and I will get a new or expanded ending DLC if they put one out, but if they don't there's still Skyrim, which has awesome DLC coming out soon.

Rage... lessening...

I'm slowly beginning not to care anymore. Generous dose of the Witcher 2 got me over it. I no longer rage.

However, I do still hold the line. There's plenty of clever arguments left to make about the ending and I'm still following the news, logging into BSN and make the occasional snarky remark.

I think that furor will be right back when nothing happens at PAX.
