"You know what folks. You're 100% right. I shouldn't have mentioned anything about my feelings about "entitled gamers" when it comes to the ME3 ending (and my work in progress with it). I've done exactly what I dislike others doing and that is to make a blanketed reactionary statement based in passion and love for a series and company rather than actual fact.

Here's the thing, and it's going to sound really weird, but as a Bioware fan, this whole uproar has just made me so sad and a little heartbroken. The petition, the attacks on a female Bioware employee and the reaction I received when it was announced I was a cameo in the game just kind of...well, hurt my feelings. Plain and simple. Listen, I totally get that games are a huge investment of time and money and, as an sales product, they should provide a certain level of expectations and satisfaction for the consumer. I also am totally aware that games are now, after much fighting by the gaming community, finally considered works of art and, as art, should not always bend to what the masses want. So, I'm torn when it comes to which side of the fence I personally (not professionally) find myself standing. All in all, I've become increasingly hyper sensitive to everything surrounding the game and should, in hindsight, just try to avoid any reference to it whatsoever since I find it difficult to be objective when it comes to my personal feelings about it. Either way, this doesn't excuse my ranting behavior. As I grow older, I need to remind myself that I should also act more mature and stepping down to a level of name calling just isn't what I want to do. So, please consider this an, "I'm sorry.""

What she is apologizing for.

Good on her apologising for any offence she caused people. Although tbh all she said was "entitled" and "whine-fest" so I think she was pretty spot on TBH.

That was fast. I thought it would have taken more time.

Good for her.

She shouldn't have deleted her original post instead just follow that up with her current statement

Deeply impressed, it takes guts to admit you were wrong. (Colin could learn a thing or two from her.)

Also like to add that the hate she is receiving is starting to make me sick. It doesn't help our image to have people making personal insults against her.

Edit: for spelling

Attacks on a female BioWare employee....? Is she referring to that ridiculous thing with one of the Dragon Age writers?
I don't know what one has to do with the other. You'd think a journalist would be more objective before lumping together entirely unrelated incidents.

But fine. To be honest, I doubt the sincerity, but if she refrains from commenting before actually completing the game that's something.

Good for her for actually apologizing and not doing a faux apology that so many people are famous for doing.

For the record, Ms. Chobot, I don't dislike you so much as what your appearance in Mass Effect 3 represents: shoehorning employees of a gaming review site into an actual game pretty much firmly establishes the fact that said gaming site is now incapable of providing an unbiased review of the game.

Actually most of the replies she got on that original blog were very well though out criticisms. I think thats why she deleted it.

i dont really care what she said origianlly or what she is saying now. I hope this all translates into her never getting another acting job again though.

Bugger the image. The people personally insulting her should be ashamed. Critiqueing her voice acting and personally insulting her are two different things.

Of course, this is the anonymity of the internet, which apparently means you can forgo all manners.

Uhhh... I digress. I'm aware most people are civil and kind.

Anyway, yes. Good for her. I imagine if she's read half the comments I have about her, she would be feeling pretty bad. The two sides of fame...

When people actually think these things through, they eventually come around.

So did she actually beat the game and is being honest yet, or is she just trying to save face?

That was an appology? That looks more like an underhanded remark about her needing to be "better then us." Gosh... everything I see that has to do with her just makes me like her less and less.

I'm sure she'll change her mind about what we're "whining" about when she finally finishes the game.

Until then though, good on her for having the guts to admit she was being a bit silly.

Indeed, insults and disparaging remarks about how she got her job are immature and stupid (and makes me wonder if similar remarks would be made were she male).

However, we're perfectly justified in calling her out for talking about things she knows nothing about.
Still, everyone deserves the benefit of the doubt. If she genuinely regrets blurting that out then everybody should leave it at that.

Alright, I accept the apology. Now toning down the Allers hate. She can't help it the character was horrible. She can, however, work on the voice acting.
