I honestly think she's annoying, but I guess this apology is a good one. I can see where she's coming from. But since she haven't finished the game yet, she shouldn't even criticize the fanbase.

Maybe all the appoligizers know something we don't and are going with the party line. You know "the ending wasn't as it could be but buy the dlc". I know I am being all conspireal but it is strange that all these people are changing there tune now.

No. Felicia is an actual actress though so it wouldn't make much sense for fans to be upset. Bioware has hired actors and actresses before. Felicia is more small time, and she's mainly in the gaming industry but she's an entertainer.

I think people are reacting this way. because Jessica is just out of place in this game. She hasn't done voice acting before so I'm not sure why Bioware would give her a cameo role, or why they would take the time to model a custom body for her.

Even though her face was scanned, get rid of your scanner Bioware it doesn't work, and it doesn't take that long to model a character body....

It's odd that Bioware did so much work for a minor role for someone who isn't actually a voice actor. It seems like Bioware just wanted to suck up to IGN, and threw Jessica in for no logical reason.

There's also the fact that Jessica's character takes the place that Emily Wong could have had. I think that's what's really upsetting people.

Putting her in the game did not make 'artistic' sense. She was an appalling VO and the character had nothing to do with the series.

I'm completely unconcerned with her opinions on retake (she's IGN, duh). All told, however, it's moderately interesting that this has been an unabashed PR disaster for her own personal brand. I hope this is noted the next time some E-list internet celebrity asks 'can I be in the game?'

Sadly, just as she conflated the irrational and horrible treatment of the bioware employee a while back with the reaction to the game... many people conflate her ridiculous presence in the game with the awful "ending".

Hopefully she will just keep her head down for a while.

But she brought it. Maybe not the best, but it was there. And her heart was in it. And she was a real sport with the fans and went to the conventions.

And it was just DLC, for a game that wasn't all that spectacular anyway.

No, she did not.

Probably didn't call the fanbase names either. That goes a long way to not catching flak.

Ummm...excuse me, but JC was put under some extreme scrutiny, and hostility here and elsewhere well before she made any kind snide remark about Biowares fanbase (which frankly they deserve). I give her credit, because if I were in her position, I would have been quite a bit nastier about it. She deserves none of the harshness thats been directed at her. She's a fan of the games, and Bioware, and was no doubt thrilled to be a part of it in some way. Imagine how crappy she feels knowing she cant even enjoy her small contribution to the game because of some butt hurt, nerd ragging idiots who have nothing better to do then tear into her for no reason at all.

Felicia Day is in DA2 DLC? Seriously? She's awesome!  What character is she?

Crap, Mass Effect topic.  I didn't mind Chobot's character.  It's nice to see she apologized about her comments, not everyone would do that.

Chobot's character didn't bother me personally, but I can kind of see some would react poorly; Allers unecessarily replaced an exisiting in game character from previous instalmenta who would have fit the role extremely well, plus being from IGN was bound to attract animosity from those who dislike that site. Day's character did neither, so there would be no reason for anyone to give her flak.

They could have made her character more interactive, maybe show us some episodes of this battlespace she was reporting. I would watch it.

I actually had no problems with her character, a nice addition that did not subtract from the experience. Would I miss her if she was not there, no I don't think so. But she did reflect a small important part about war, and that is journalism. I wish they rather made Emily Wong that person, as we would had more connection with that character. But I wont cry about it, I found she did an acceptable job at it.

The thing about Felica is that she isn't a faux-gamer, she is a professional small time actor, she did an excellent job, and didn't really bad mouth the entire fan base for disliking DAII.

Chobot apologized. We need to get over it. We have much more obstacles to climb over if PAX East falls through.

It sickens me for anyone that actually attacks Chobot personally, In the game, you don't even have to talk to her if you don't like her character. And ever time you talked to her, you get the option to tell her to get out of the ship.
The game never makes her an absolute necessity, if you don't like her character, don't pick her up. Don't talk to her.

If you have a problem with her personally, don't read or watch her comments and videos. Just avoid IGN if she bothers you that much.

I just don't understand what the hell, does it make anyone feels that much better to make someone's life miserable. Its not like she stole your job at IGN or took your money.
