I didnt take her opinion that seriously to begin with since IGN as a whole has fallen from my graces and since the only reason she got the job was because she was hot, I want Casey to apologize to us, not some crappy PR apology, he needs to man up and apologize, we fans will respect him more for it
I agree, I didnt even know i was being offended nor do I care. She is some bambi quasi journalist who is eye candy and thats it. Her charaecter was a self parody and It was pretty useless. Its all marketing . But I would like to see something via bioware .. a statement or a gurgle would be nice.
I am wondering what happened to the Noveria Cop who kept having a crush on shepard went .. Giana Parasini. I thought for sure when you heard conversations about a con artist on the citadel, she would turn up. Did they forget that or is she in some easter egg somewhere.

This comment you made " Cool. We differ on that, but what's the recourse you would like? She already apologized. If that's not enough than what is?" It seems very emotional. It is not about accepting an appology, but about hounding the person you sent this to.sfam wrote...

Any customer has the right not to take her seriously, and not to listen to her. That is typically the recourse. The second recourse it that customers may tune out the company she works for.
I find that you are way too emotional.
Welcome to capitalism. Customers can choose who they trust.
I'm way too emotional for accepting someone's apology at face value?
Um, OK.
And clealry customers can choose anything they want for any reason. I just think the piling on has gone well overboard.
Secondly, customers can choose who they want to listen to. Exactly.
Gosh, I bet Ashilana is thrilled he/she has someone who can stand up for him/her from my overly emotional responses...
Seriously, I'm not sure what goes through your that makes that an emotional response. I also don't see it as hounding, but genuinely wondering what recourse was desired. You answered that yourself - you lost faith in Jessica's previously sterling integrity, and as a consequence, no longer see IGN as the pillar in ethics for game impartiality. Such is life - I may disagree, but I long since stopped thinking of game reviewers as anything close to impartial - that's like being surprised that golf reporters aren't impartial to Tiger Woods, or that White House correspondents aren't impartial to the current White House occupant - if you rely on who you are reporting on for your livelihood, by definition you aren't impartial.
But who knows, perhaps that's a fine answer - who am I to disabuse you of your naive view of the gaming industry? I just don't see the need to start impinging my "emotional state" for asking a question - then again, we are in a thread where people have been bashing someone for page after page for making an apology, so this shouldn't surprise me too much I suppose.
It is silly to try to insult me. What you say doesn't matter. I don't consider you an expert. I have never insulted this lady and never will. I can choose not to listen, everyone can.

Still, though, I question her being a big ME fan if she hasn't finished the third game. I know real life can get crazy and everything, but ... I just don't know.
I'm still not happy with how Bioware got her in the game at possible cost of Emily Wong, Tali's model, and Mordin's VA. (Did Bioware ever explain why Mordin's VA was never invited back even though he said he would be okay?) I'm also really skeeved out by the possible issues with IGN having an employee in a big name game -- may have not been what Bioware intended but it still looks bad. (IGN is still all "OMG THE ENDINGS ARE ART!!11" is not helping this case any.)
I can't even judge Chobot's voice acting as I'm deaf -- but it seems that from what others have said, it's not all that great?

Yes I know who she is that wasn't the question. I was asking of she is boring and pointless in her role at IGN. Although saying she works at IGN may answer the question in that IGN is fairly pointless with its paid for reviews.

She did mention that she did a poor job in the comments section of the linked blog entry.

stoked that I had the chance to be a character in ME3 but, I do have
ears too and am fully aware that my voiceover was...shall we say..very
"beginners." lol! People that can pull that off naturally are seriously
talented."

As for Jessica and her character. Dianna Allers is a meaningless cameo, and that money could of been spent elsewhere IMO. However there are a lot of meaningless characters in the game, and the fact you are an employee for a company that advertises, rates, reviews, etc games makes it appear to me that it is a "you scratch my back we'll scratch yours" relationship between BioWare and IGN. You don't deserve to be punished/lashed out/whatever for that. However you are subject to criticism, and if you get upset at people disliking your character and your paid performance as an actress then you appear very hypocritical when you call that same fan based "entitled".

lol what has been said about her? She's a good looking woman but her character looked weird in the game and her voice acting was off.

Out of curiosity, how did these forums react to Felicia Day in the DA2 DLC? Did she catch the same level of flak as Jessica Chobot?
Felicia Day actually had talent, her character felt like it had some sense in DA2. Chobot has no VA talent and her character felt like it was shoehorned into the game because Bioware wanted to give lipservice to IGN.
