Apologize? Apologize for what?

I've never given anything she's every said a rats-ass anyway. Sorry Chob's.

Goes to show she thinks she's an 'important figure that matters'.

Out of curiosity, how did these forums react to Felicia Day in the DA2 DLC? Did she catch the same level of flak as Jessica Chobot?

No, she did not.

Which character did she play?

I've got no problem with her personally, but at this point she's the last person in the world I'd trust for unbiased game reporting.

I don't know much about Miss Chobot, but from everything I've seen from her and about her recently she just doesn't seem like much of an asset to the gaming community. Am I wrong in this assumption?

I believe this statement could be generalized to the entire IGN site for the most part.  Good times.

I feel bad that she was offended by the negative comments to her being in ME3. I didn't like and still don't like that BW put her in for some pandering purpose, but I found her character fine. Diana Allers wasn't obtrusive and rarely needed to be seen by Shepard. Jessica's VQing was OK; clearly she's no Bill Shatner, but she was descent. I've played so many games where I said to myself, "Wow, a farm boy from Russia with Tourette syndrome could deliver that line in English better. I hope they didn't pay that guy?"

Can't anyone just accept the apology without giving a backhanded insult to her?

You know what? Good for her. That was a really mature statement. The vast majority of the rest of the world needs to learn how to be so considerate in hindsight...

We're all human, we all make mistakes - it's recognizing them and taking responsibility for them that matters.

"You know what folks. You're 100% right. I shouldn't have mentioned anything about my feelings about "entitled gamers" when it comes to the ME3 ending (and my work in progress with it). I've done exactly what I dislike others doing and that is to make a blanketed reactionary statement based in passion and love for a series and company rather than actual fact.

Here's the thing, and it's going to sound really weird, but as a Bioware fan, this whole uproar has just made me so sad and a little heartbroken. The petition, the attacks on a female Bioware employee and the reaction I received when it was announced I was a cameo in the game just kind of...well, hurt my feelings. Plain and simple. Listen, I totally get that games are a huge investment of time and money and, as an sales product, they should provide a certain level of expectations and satisfaction for the consumer. I also am totally aware that games are now, after much fighting by the gaming community, finally considered works of art and, as art, should not always bend to what the masses want. So, I'm torn when it comes to which side of the fence I personally (not professionally) find myself standing. All in all, I've become increasingly hyper sensitive to everything surrounding the game and should, in hindsight, just try to avoid any reference to it whatsoever since I find it difficult to be objective when it comes to my personal feelings about it. Either way, this doesn't excuse my ranting behavior. As I grow older, I need to remind myself that I should also act more mature and stepping down to a level of name calling just isn't what I want to do. So, please consider this an, "I'm sorry.""

I only heard of Jessica Chobot when Bioware announced their voice actors. I looked her up on youtube, and found that silly PSP licking video of her, and thought, "Well, Bioware must be pretty desperate to latch on to straight, male teenage fanbase."

Her rant about the fans being "whiny" was just self-serving.

she shouldnt of been in the game in the first place.

its SO obvious, she was in a bar, or somewhere, and some nerd from Bioware was talking to her, and dropped the classic line

'hey wanna star in ME3, i can make it happen, lets go to my room to discuss it'

nothing more than a failed model bimbo, who soaks up attention from gaming nerds, giving genuine girls who like games a bad name.

EVEN IF THE NORMANDY NEEDED A REPORTER< IT SHOULD OF BEEN THE REPORTER WE HAVE BEEN GETTING TO KNOW SINCE ME1 YOU ****S.

she is only apologising because IGN is butthurt its reputation is getting slapped around by Bioware fans.

Guys, just give a her a break already. Our issue is the ending and not Chobot. Just kick Allers from Normandy if you hate her and be done with it. Bashing on the girl just becouse she is an easy target will not bring us anything good. Get back on track with the ending DLC pressure and stay civil.

She probably should have stuck to this mentality and turned down such an obvious 'stunt' cameo.

Why don't all the bioware hating guys just make their own forums at this point, it's got to be better than doing a post and ban approach you got going on here.

Not complaining against you guys or anything, but the boards being clogged with the same topic over and over again gets old after a while.

This seems like it was "suggested" to her that she apologise. This was more about her, than anything. She also failed to mention that the attacks on others were only made by a few idiots, not the gamers who did not like the ending as a whole, but only said she issued a blanket statement. Since she was involved with the game she should have recused herself from commenting on the whole affair as she has an invested interest. But then again, IGN has a vested interest which means they will be standing up for one of their biggest advertisers, EA. This did not seem like an apology as much as it was an excuse.

Hate me, but that's my opinion.
