If you like it, that's fine. But insulting a group of players for hating something, without experiencing it for yourself is just tasteless.
Sure you expect it to be epic, because it's BioWare ... news flash, so did we. But this is where we are.

I am not obsessed, I think her comment was digusting in the "customer service" scheme of things and were BioWare my company, she would have been fired on the spot for breech of business ethics and abuse of my customers, and then I would attempt to reclaim anything the contract had already paid if possible.
These overly dramatic posts do nothing but make me roll my eyes. Next.
Eh. I don't care about Chobot personally. I had no idea who she was before ME3, which almost makes the situation worse.
There are plenty of people complaining about the type of insults Chobot is getting. But here's the thing, she agreed to be in this game even though she'd never had a VA job. She agreed to allow her avatar to be portrayed as a vapid, one night stand without an ounce of self-respect.
And yet, we're supposed to respect her? She who makes baseless overly generalized comments about a game she hasn't finished and the fans who have?
Negative. It doesn't work that way. She put herself in this position and now she has to live with it.

Don't forget Diana Allers' chubby knees, cankles and permanent zombified facial expression.

I do wish her character never existed in ME3, EA marketing department and Jersey Shore fans be damned.

So you feel that if a woman dresses in a skirt, she's asking for it? You know what, I don't know you, and I'm glad I don't.

How does that feined internet smugness feel? Does it validate you?
Your comment is so misplaced it's laughable. Diana Allers is literally there to fulfill the prepubest male fantasy of being with Chobot. Diana Allers makes extremely sex fueled innuendo at Shepard and will sleep with the character after what... Two conversations only? Her character has no backstory whatsover and serves no purpose other than to give you a handful of war assets.
Her 'character' [as I hessitate to even call it that considering the general 2D personality she had] is empty beyond its intended sexual appeal. To make the situation worse, Chobot signed off on that portrayal of her avatar and when you combine that with her complete lack of VA skill she leaves herself even more open to criticism than simply being a minor celebrity would.
This has nothing to do with rape. And for you to fall back on that shows your complete lack argument. But whatever, do attempt to argue with a women's studies major about this.

I didn't like the obvious collusion circle jerk between IGN and BioWare though.

How CAN she be professional about a product that she is PERSONALLY invested in? It's like asking your mother to give an objective criticism of a drawing you've done.
That said, I think we can leave the poor girl alone now. No, Allers wasn't that great a character. No, Jessica Chobot's presence was distracting and her voice acting was pretty lackluster.
No, it didn't ruin the game anymore than drinking with helmets on in ME2 did.

In her defense people have been unfairly critical of her.
She gave a horrible performance and she accepted a role that indicates a conflict of interest. The criticism has been fair IMHO.

You forgot the mention that bioware put more effort into her character than even some of the major characters and hell even species in the game, yet chobot is an amateur, here character barely says anything, her backstory exists in a few easily missable sentences....

I'm sure this was more EA's influence than BW's but seriously, this cannot possibly be commonplace. I'm not asserting that there was any actual bribery or conflict, but the optics of this entire situation is troubling to say the least. Public perception, especially in business, can be very damaging even if there was no actual conflict present. The potential for a conflict of interest is usually enough to raise eyebrows. In publicly traded companies this apparent potential conflict of interest is compounded and has lead to terminations and resignations in countless businesses and even political offices/administrations. Obviously this is a tad dramatic, and I'm not implying that someone should be fired, but I think this situation is serious enough to warrant a review of your policies when dealing with the press.
I'd really appreciate a dev perspective on this. What's the deal here BW? How could you have allowed something like this to happen?
