She stated Ealier that gamers were whiny and entitled. She came under attack, some statement were constructive, some sarcastic and others stright up mean. But when you talk crap you make yourself a target. Would be nice to stop making fun of one another and get back to the things we love which is video games.

I personally loved to champion BioWare!

Yeah, no doubt it was incorrect of her to generalize the Retake movement.  Still, a good many people who took issue with it probably had less than flattering things to say about her beforehand.  One lesson we can learn from this is "If you're famous, don't look at youtube comments."

Her first post was cr*p, I'm not a fan of her nor her game character and I also wonder why she got in there in the first place. That said, some of the comments on her blog were turning very rude and personal again, much more than I'm comfortable with. She apologized, that's very cool and takes guts, now I think we can give her a break, huh?

Fine, good enough. Not tossing her out the airlock anymore, sorry Javik. She is the machine he was talking about right?

I think a little less sweeping generalizations and a little more reading comprehension and understanding can do wonders for everyone.

I didn't really hate Allers. If anything I took her onboard the Normandy and just ignored her for the rest of the game, other than the interviews. The only thing that I'm remotely mad over is the fact that since Bioware took the time to do all of this for a cameo, imagine the time they could have taken to actually add on stuff that we wanted.(For me, more detailed LI interaction)

Me I only became really irritated after the Adam Baldwin thing.
Whyyyyyyy!

With that attitude, I hope he at least gets past the 'used' phase.

EDIT: whoa typo, totally made that statement far more mean =/

I think she became the unlucky figurehead for IGN as a whole which has been producing an amazing amount of high horse bull**** and downright retarded articles.
Never understood the Allers hate, think the char worked out pretty ok in my opinon. Takes balls by Chobot, so kudos to her, for whatever that's worth.

IGN on the other hand.... another matter entirely.

It sounded more like she was fed up with the deluge of messages asking if she has completed the game yet or romanced herself yet.

In two years when people ask her about ME3 she'll laugh it off and say something like "yeah I'll never make a mistake like that again, ha ha", but not until she's moved away from IGN and EA (which, to be honest, seems like the same thing, given how IGN have been reacting to the endings movement).

Good on her apologising for any offence she caused people. Although tbh all she said was "entitled" and "whine-fest" so I think she was pretty spot on TBH.

Seriously This Indoctrinated Stooge is still loose?   Can someone please call the spec ops sniper team and tell them to shoot STRAIGHT!!

seriously, Jessica didn't deserve the amount of hate she was getting. regardless of how you feel about her character (i didn't mind allers too much), insulting a real human being is pretty low. not one of the things I'm most proud of as a member of the BSN.

Can understand people angry with calling them whiners, but honestly if the only big problem you can have is "I don't like her VA work" boo hoo, you don't need to hate a person b/c you don't like their voice on screen

I've always felt like the complaints about her voice work were always overblown. Valid? Sure. But the intensity of them is stupid.

I think it shows a lot about someone to apologize and admit fault this day and age, and I can certainly sympathize with her in regards to posting something without thinking about how others may respond.

I suppose a lot of it depends on how she acts after this little incident, but she definitely deserves the benefit of the doubt.

Ok, fair enough, apology accepted.

And to be fair I think the flak she's getting for the voice acting, and some of the comments made, are out of line. Her voice acting wasn't great but...she's not a voice actor, and even so it's no reason for a lynch mob.

If she's not a voice actor, why did they give her a role that needed one? She was clearly out of her depth, and I guess that's one more thing wrong with ME3 - BioWare pandered to the gaming press by giving one of their own a role that should have been filled by Emily Wong.

I am sorry, but a chick that went all they way she went (IGN/ME3) just because she publicly licked a gamepad deserves no respect from me.

We are not nerds who will start running wildly around our flats just beause a fairly (sorry Ms. Chobot) lady does that and we deserve a bit more respect.
Gamers are not nerds who didn't touch a woman OR a man in their life. From what I've learned through the years, gamers are usually well educated and social people. This does not concern those of 12 or 13 of age, who spam the chat in every game possible. And ME was never aimed at such audience (well at least till ME3).

Therefore I recognize Ms. Chobot as the gaming industry's Paris Hilton. Due to her actions only.
Sorry, harsh truth.

The complaints about her voice work was perhaps right to a degree, but lets be honest, if we hadn't had her forced upon us through an overbearing character + articles in masses about her apperance in the game, then most people would have just moved on from it.

Well I never said anything aside from her in-game self being sort of ugly. And she walks/stands weird. But about the real person I never really said anything. Yes, I don't like that they killed Emily to make space for her toon, but that doesn't really have to do with Jessica either. It's rather about Bioware and whoever makes decisions there.

Is it just me or are people slowly getting why 'Retake' and others dislike the endings? Because looks to me this week starts with people having a softer tone towards us.

That's a criticism to direct at BW, not Chobot.

She apologized. We got what we wanted. Need to let it go now. Everyone makes mistakes, and we can speculate all we want and continue to bash her voice acting, but we need to be better than that.
