Once she finishes the game, she will understand the rage. Oh yes. She will.

Bugger the image. The people personally insulting her should be ashamed. Critiqueing her voice acting and personally insulting her are two different things.
Indeed, insults and disparaging remarks about how she got her job are immature and stupid (and makes me wonder if similar remarks would be made were she male).
However, we're perfectly justified in calling her out for talking about things she knows nothing about.
Still, everyone deserves the benefit of the doubt. If she genuinely regrets blurting that out then everybody should leave it at that.
Hey show me a man who got his job by licking a psp and other sexy acts and I will gladly complain at him. Or I would if I had complained about chobot. I didn't complain, I sighed wearily at a world where sexy has become boring through overuse.

I honestly didn't expect that. Or care. I am more interested in what Bioware has to say and when they come out from under their turtle shell and actually talk about the ending and how and why it happened. I don't even need them to admit that it is bad. Because I can see that myself. Just why and what they are going to do about. Clarification is all nice and fine but I would rather have some detailed information what and how they clarify it. Clarification could mean anything at this point, from changing nothing to everything.zzcoreyzz wrote...
She apologized. We got what we wanted. Need to let it go now. Everyone makes mistakes, and we can speculate all we want and continue to bash her voice acting, but we need to be better than that.

Still, level and venom of criticism was unwarranted.

I didn't really hate Allers. If anything I took her onboard the Normandy and just ignored her for the rest of the game, other than the interviews. The only thing that I'm remotely mad over is the fact that since Bioware took the time to do all of this for a cameo, imagine the time they could have taken to actually add on stuff that we wanted.(For me, more detailed LI interaction)
They put more effort into chobot, a character you barely interact with in ME3, than Tali, and by extension the quarian people.
Chobot gets a full character model in all its uncanney glory, Tali and the Quarians? A bad photoshop that removes some fingers and changes the skin tone.
I don't hate Chobot but I definitely did not approve of her presence in the game after that fact.

She shouldn't have written it in the first place.

I agree, but how we handle an apology might very well determine if we ever get one from Bioware.
This is a straight up apology, even has the words "I'm sorry" in them. This isnt some vague announcement about an announcement that might or might not be what we want. This is on the level, and we need to atleast appreciate that someone is willing to take back what they said straight up.

An immediate apology is more than we've gotten from most people involved in this whole thing. And she's at the very least admitted to being on the fence as to whose side she's on. I can respect that.
Side note: I know that I usually quote other people instead or writing my own posts, but... if someone has already said it, why make an exact post?

Agreed there, I got nothing against this woman but putting more effort into her character than Tali? Unforgivable.

Well. Chobot's "voiceover", if you can call it that, was one tiny reason why ME3 failed to deliver.

Good for her for actually apologizing and not doing a faux apology that so many people are famous for doing.
For the record, Ms. Chobot, I don't dislike you so much as what your appearance in Mass Effect 3 represents: shoehorning employees of a gaming review site into an actual game pretty much firmly establishes the fact that said gaming site is now incapable of providing an unbiased review of the game.
This a million times.

Not related to the topic, but I am seeing that Stanley hasn't locked this thread yet, for it doesn't hinge on the ending aspect. He locked one (http://social.biowar.../index/10919815) saying it wasn't related to story. Bioware is in full damage control mode lol. Can't even face the facts on the forums.
oh my they locked that thread... unbelievable
