Does the detonate upgrade actually make a biotic explosion more powerful? or does that mean detonate when it times out

Thats what I am asking. I know it detonates when it times out. However I am asking if the biotic explosion itself is more powerful if I have detonate as a power. Like If I use singularity, then warp, it goes boom. is that boom now more powerful since I chose the detonate upgrade?

The power of biotic explosions are only affected by rank and possible detonation bonuses. The detonation when Singularity ends evolution has no effect and only works when you wait for it to disolve. Which makes it a rather redundant evolution. In fact, everything with a number attached to it has no impact at all when you blow stuff up.
The most powerful explosion is Warp (with the 50% detonation evo) + Throw or Shockwave (with the 50% detonation evos). Both powers need to be rank 6: power A with rank 6 + power B with rank 6 + 100% = the best you can get.
