She must have seen the ending lol.

Well, she DID say she hadn't finished the game yet when her first rant was posted.  Maybe she finally finished the game and realized what all the uproar was about.

It takes a big person to say I'm sorry.

Or someone desperate to keep their job. Again she wasn't being very professional now she's got to come out and admit that. One plus though is that she is at least willing to explain HOW she was at fault for all her butthurt overzealous supporters who rided on the bandwagon just because she was any type of voice that disagreed with those who hated the ending. I still think that she's got a long way to go before she's acknowledged as a journalist for her appearance and as someone who is at the center of sexual objectifcation. Can't say I feel well retracting my statement on that. Ok so you got in because of your body, it's time to rise your game up.... A lot. Many incredibly great actors had to resort to that kind of exploitation but they aren't known for those incidents, they're known for their talent. It's time she strives for the same.

jessica basicly stated the same thing i have been ranting about for 2 months now

wich is the fans who go out and personally attack the developers

No she made a generalizing statement about how anyone unsatisfield is an "entitled" brat.  I agree that personal attacks on Devs is unacceptable. But her statement was an attack. Not everyone who in this Retake thing or is unsatisfied with some issues is a rabid attack dog. But there are a few.

but to an extent there are fans who are indeed entitled brats

come on dude even you got to agree theres at least a few

And when you're acting as a member of a creative production, editorializing on that work and on conflicts with customers of said production while on a professional work related, publicly available medium, that is to say a website that has had numerous suspicions regarding conflicts of interest, is unprofessional. It's a good way to lose future work and support for the production.

True, not true, maybe true, there are certain things you don't do (or at least don't do outside the gaming industry) as a professional.

That she published a retraction as quick as she did was an intelligent and mature move on her part.

Dunno why anyone put any real credit in what the tramp thinks, she just reads the stuff on prompter in between giving lap dances to the crew

-Somehow I dont think "sorry" is going to cut it.

If someone comes out and gives an apoligy like this I think its best just to give them a chance. All this month if ONE developer came out with a message like this I'd be more than happy to do the same.

Its arrogance on the part of developers and 'gaming journalists' that gets a lot of our goats, rightfully so.

She seemed to be honest in saying that basically 'people were attacking her baby' and we can probably all relate with that feeling.

I honestly don't understand all the rabid hate for people who didn't like the ending... Granted I think those that didn't like the ending are going overboard with their dislike but that their choice. I can care less what the hell they do with their lives. I do have to say that the haters of the haters are much more annoying for the simple reason that they really don't have a coherent point or counterpoint for anger beyond ad hominem and juvenile elitist attacks. I honestly more annoyed by the apologists than I am of the overreaction to the ending.

She shouldn't have. All she said was that there were gamers who were entitled and having a whine-fest at bioware. This is a true statement.

A statement which she has no context on, especially since she herself has not witness what was causing all this rage.

Hopefully, as a mass effect fan herself, she will at least understand the rage when she see's the ending. Whether or not she agree's, she should hopefully understand.

Nothing we can say can prepare anyone for that ending.

I can take her apology. I understand plenty of what she may be feeling, especially as a fangirl who got a part in one of her favorite series being attacked like that...

Still her anger is misdirected. I suggest yoga.

"the reaction I received when it was announced I was a cameo in the game just kind of...well, hurt my feelings."

I feel bad right know, not for her feeling hurt, because I don't know if she's utterly innocent (more than a child) or utterly stupid...

Isnt it interesting that its mainly the gaming media that is supporting EA and Bioware, while the fans mainly, are the ones complaining( and rightfully so. We were promised the opposite of what we got).

Hey, its not chobot's fault but when more effort is put into her side character with barely any content in the game, than Tali's face and the quarian people's appearence...

Hell yes I am going to percieve her with scorn.

LOL. The most hated thing to ever grace a video game just insulted an already angry fan base?
I missed this, but all I can say is..
Oh boy.

"in hindsight, just try to avoid any reference to it whatsoever since I find it difficult to be objective when it comes to my personal feelings about it." -Chobot

She still thinks the same thing. She just won't say it now.

I just responded with:

If you're feeling sorry then please finish the game, reload it twice, and see all three endings. Then make an unbiased review; part of the anger from the fans is because of IGN and several others posting reviews that are rife with back-handed statements and immaturity. Also, if it is not too much, please take the entire story of the trilogy into consideration instead of just ME3 because most of the people angry are the ones who have gone through the entire trilogy.

If you're sorry, be the first writer on IGN to post a review that is not boarderline insulting or unprofessional.
