Apology accepted. No matter how much we dislike the ending (speaking as someone who hated it), there's no justification at all for hate and vulgar language toward someone like that. Its one thing to be a "renegade" in a video game, its another to be a complete **** in real life.

Um, no. Sirtis wasn't awful in a hammy sort of way. Sirtis was awful in that she somehow managed, despite being an established "actress" to deliver almost every line with even more woodenness than Chobot managed.

That's far more unforgivable than some non-actress cameo who's not part of the main story, I think. She couldn't even be bothered to put in a proper acting performance. Yet where's the hate?

We must figure out wich performance sucked the most!

One of the more pressing issues of our time.

Point is that people who say their burning hatred is because of her VO performance are liars, since they don't pay attention to the even worse performances from others. It's just because "it's Chobot". And we're meant to hate Chobot for some reason, despite me never hearing about her before, knowing who she is, or caring for one second.

Just sayin'.

Chobot is the whole package though:

-bad VA
-IGN employee
-oddly-shaped face (at least in the game)

-First of all. She might be hot to some, but I have other preferances. But her job is to be a "gaming journalist / Blogger". And her command of the english language is tenfold worse than some of the ESL boardmembers we have here. Just look at her blog ffs.

If she can make a living licking PSP's and being the gamers centerfold, thats grand. Just dont pretend its more than it is.

Agreed. Even if it was forced as suggested by some of the previous posters which I doubt based on previous statements by IGN, it really is better than what the others have done so far despite her questionable involvement with the game.
She's taken a step in the right direction, and people decide to bash her for it?  
Even if it wasn't genuine, she still made an official apology.
Bashing her in spite of it only affirms her original statement. Why not prove that her original statement was wrong?(same goes for the others who jumped on that bandwagon)
She currently holds the upper hand 'cos of it, and the incredible amount of insults in this thread only confirm that.
Introduce any outsider to this situation and that outsider will pick Chobot hands down the way things are going.

Yeah, she really shouldn't have made the original statement before finishing the game, same goes for all the other reviewers.
No matter what your opinion may be of her, she has taken a progressive stance towards this situation and 'cos of it I'm actually interested in hearing her review of the full game.

As for the PSP-licking & the other attempt-at-sexiness she's pulled. Well it is pretty stupid especially in order to promote herself, but assuming we all have lives here I'm sure more than a few of us have pulled some idiotic stuff from time to time sans the spotlight. I know I have. (still trying to block it out!)

Anyways she's currently looking to win this round, are you gonna let her win it or are you gonna tie it up and let it go to another round?

I got to admit that it must of taken alot of courage for her to apologize on the internet, you usually don't see anyone admitting that their actions were wrong. I hope that she has gained some respect from the community so now people won't be so hostile towards her.
