I know that I'm stupid for not saying this until now, but I bought a new copy of Mass Effect 2 and I registered it, as you can tell by the little 2 under my name. I never really paid attention to what Cerberus network was, I thought it was some special thing you paid extra for. Then I saw my friend open his new copy and activate it recently, and that got me pretty upset. What can I do?
My Mass Effect 2 didn't come with Cerberus Network and it was new?

I'm pretty sure there was an expiration date on the activation code. I think Cerberus Network is still included with PC downloads, though.

I bought my copy of ME2 during the Origin sale a few weeks ago and got my code via email after the purchase. Boxed copies should've had a card or something inside. If you didn't get a code at all, should contact them to get a code.

With my PC version I got separate slip of paper with the code inside the box. Was the game box sealed when you bought it? If not, contact the retailer as they might have taken it out of the box and not put it back in. If the box was sealed then contact EA Support, they should email you another one if you provide proof of purchase.
