Lol why the hell would you pay for something you can farm in game lol

5+hours farming white on gold against geth = 1 hour real life work

It is absolutely morally detestable that you think its better to waste your life playing a game solely for the in game credits when you can achieve the same with a fraction of that time spent in the real world. You are whats wrong with gaming.

With the way the rng system of spectre packs work, it's definitely not worth paying for them using real cash. You're way better off doing it the hard way and having fun at the same time.

And I hate to say it but, I wouldn't even look down on someone who chose to cheat in order to get all their spectre packs.

40 dollars spent on packs at the menu = 8+ hours of video games

It is absolutely morally detestable that you think its better to waste your money buying randomized video game packs solely to avoid actually playing the video game when you can achieve the same by spending time and having fun playing the actual game. You are whats wrong with gaming.

guess which one makes sense, and guess which one is the one people will point and laugh at, following it up with 100% deserved questioning of, but not limited to the following: your age, your intelligence, your general awareness and under what chemical influence you are under.

Such an inherently flawed and short-sighted argument. Personally, I'd be suprised if managed to play 8+ hours of video games in a week. When I do manage to play, I would prefer to have access to half decent weapons/classes etc. As such, I choose to waste (yes, I realise it's a waste) an irrelevant amount of my own money; luckily for me I can comfortably afford to do so - unless you would care to advise me how else to spend my own money? To each their own fella, to each their own...

If i was Sovereign:

Opinions born in ignorance.

EDIT:

This is what i do and like to think goes for most people who play:

I play for FUN, and when ever i have the in-game credits i buy the packs, i do NOT play to get those credits or play more just to get them faster.

I'm sure most well adjusted people share your point of view but my comment was directed towards the group who think its bad to buy credits with cash while they are farming geth with 4 quarians or use the wave 10 glitch for hours on end.

Im not saying is bad..the guy said he spend 40$ on packs thats a bit to much dont you think?

And yeah you can work and get money but if your gonna spend them all on packs whats the point lol...as i say i dont have anything against buying packs but when you spend almost the same ammount of what the game cost is a bit well...bad.

These random item packs are a staple of "free to play" online games. They're like an online casino only worse.

Serves you right. The game pretty much throws excessive amounts of credits at you.

I find it really sad that anyone would spend Microsoft Points on a Spectre Pack... All you have to do is play gold for 25-30 minutes and you'll be able to get one for free...

Yeah but you're talking 25-30 minutes for one spectre pack. Forty dollars will get you twenty packs if my math is correct. So with an average of 25 minutes a mission you're talking about five hundred minutes or eight hours for twenty packs. If a casual player can only put in one or two bronze missions a night I can see the allure to buying packs once a month or so.

well its just disappointing.

i can only stare blankly at my screen for so long, you know?

should i spend more, or what? i just want the carnafax for gods sake.

Actually playing the multiplayer for in-game credits would be a better financial investment.

Good sarcasm( i mean it, i laught when i read it).

The reason for my question is that my mother lenguage isnt english, even if i knew what 40 bucks mean, when i read that he spend that i thought i maybe wrong, that it may be cents, didnt see that possible that some one spend 40$ on those packs. Perhaps more than a confusion it was more the hope that i was wrong.

>Spending real money in order to get ingame rewards
>ingame rewards also recieved for time spent in game

So you're spending money to skip some gameplay, so you can spend more time on gameplay.

Dude...what?

Why'd you spend cash on the store anyway?

Might as well go to a casino instead. At least then you got a chance of winning something useful!

Those two last post should be enough for every one to understand how silly is to buy them. And i say this taking the consequences of it for gaming on the future out of the picture.

Since they've gone the collectible cards way, a trade system could have been interesting.

I got a BW, a Paladin, a wraith and a sabre. so yes, that statement seems to be true.
