Nvm misread. It is much wiser to spend "real money" on specter packs when you have not/just started working on them to maximize the rentability. Once you are knee-deep into the endgame, it is useless since you will get Character Cards.

I recomend him to we "wiser" and not spend "real money" on it.

Just be patient, play when you want and you will get what you want sooner or later.

Maybe it's just me, but I have a hard time taking something someone called "The Spamming Troll" takes seriously.

If that is the case though, better luck next time I guess. 40$ = 20 Spectre packs right? Not sure, as I'm not in the US.

In around 100 or so Spectre Packs I've had 4 N7 Weapons so far personally, just got my first Rare weapon to level X yesterday (Reverant) too - two others are very close behind (Geth Pulse Rifle VIII, Falcon IX). Two more Rare's at V, another two at IV, the rest at I or II.

Trying to play with the avenger, predator and tempest was slightly frustrating

I i have been misunderstood i never spend any real money on in game content i was just told if i max out the basic wepons using creds that the next teir wepon are in the recruitment packs 

oh and i am on 360 gonejamin is my tag if want to play with

It all boils down to the fact that people spend money on what someone else considers frivilous. Someone that drinks bottled water from home probally considers that coffee or soft drink you buy is a waste. A person who brings a healthy lunch from home may think that Big Mac I bought is stupid. Someone who get's all their information from the internet might think someone with magazine subscriptions is wasteful. My friends wife considered his computer game hobby a total waste of their money. It all comes down to if you think it's worth *your* money and you're happy with your overall purchase.

 I've been trying to get an Asari (of either class) for the past two weeks and have had zero luck. I've been tempted to put down 20 dollars on MS points and buy spectre packs, but I personally would rather save that money for future DLC. I see no problem in spending the money if you have it and feel it is a good choice.  When the next DLC pack for ME3 comes out I may splurge a few of my extra points on Spectre packs. I usually splurge my extras on Avatar items anyway (which is also a waste of money in some regard, but it makes me happy and thats what counts).

Why all the hate? I mean... it's his/her money, right? Some of us might think it's silly/ enabling corporate greed or something, but that's not the point. I don't think we really should be judging (at least not much).

heres some more perspective:

even though the game offers 6 classes, what if i only play the game to be an adept? did i waste 45 bucks on a game ill never even use 5/6 of?

why cant i just convince myself that spending $60 on an asari in MP is any different?

Spend $400, that would be equivalent of 70 hours of gameplay or two working weeks. Most people earn far more than $6 per hour, so you would be smart to do that instead of grinding.

Do not do this. Play another game. Hell, play another five games. ME3 MP is not worth it, and having the gun you want isn't going to make the experience all that better. 

Or just play a different class or use an Avenger until the item is pleasantly unlocked.

its embarrassing. i play 50/50 silver and gold and everyones got a carnafax, EXCEPT THIS GUY.

Lots of Adepts use the Carnifex, but you can play one effectively without even firing your gun. Just carry anything with 200% CD and a scope. i.e. if you want to AA, you don't need ANY credits, except maybe for consumables.

For Salarian Infiltrator, Mantis X isn't that bad, and can be unlocked fairly quickly using Recruit Packs. ( You can still ED->OHK body shot most enemies on silver, including Geth Pyro w/ Armor Piercing Ammo), and you get the bonus of a ~190% CD. (I think.)

Please don't spend $400 on this game for something that will, in the end, only have a marginal improvement on your enjoyment of it. I understand the concept of "it's your money" and all that, but this feels wasteful regardless of your level of disposable income.

I just spent $5 on 2 of those Premium Spectre Packs and I got an Asari Adept and a Black Widow. I didn't even know I had money in my PSN account, but when I found out, I just bought that.

IF I was willing to spend $40 on in-game weapons, it would be for the CE weapons in the campaign. It seems like a waste to spend it on multiplayer for a small chance to win.

my goal IS a 200% cooldown, thats why i use the predetor/phalanx(cuz its cooler?!?!) and why i want the carnafax. i can kill people with 2 carnafax blasts, that takes my phalanx a whole clip, with the ammo capacity mod too! it does make a pretty big difference. its almost exactly like comparing the mantis to the widow. which would you prefer? ive used the paladin in SP, and its rediculous. i dont need another gun, when i have that gun.

edit: not just 3 seconds ago in SP i put a phantom in stasis and shot it twice with the paladin, then it died. how is that not better? ...or worth $40?

i bought the CE solely for javik. is that a waste?

I got exactly what I wanted about 22 bucks in: a Krogan Soldier and an Asari Adept.

Now, I have a ton of MSP left and have just about everything I want.

Sorry it didn't work out for you, though.
