Games with worse endings than Mass Effect 3

Mass Effect 3's ending fails in every conceivable fashion:
1. It breaks promises right and left.
2. It strips player choice out after 100+ hours of having that be a central feature of the trilogy
3. It makes absolutely no sense at all
4. It's the ending of a TRILOGY not a single game, so the impact is far magnified
5. It's painfully obvious that it is either not what the developers intended, or IS what the developers intended and the real sense of closure that players deserved was held back for greed.
I could go on and on.
ME3's ending woes are exacerbated by virtue of how central the story telling, character development and player choice is to the series. It's he series' key selling point.

from all the pc games i have played, these are the top 3 i think had a bad ending.
3. Deus Ex Human Revolution. sorry, but pressing 4 buttons to have an ending is not good.
2. Duke Nukem Forever. bad game, bad ending.
1. Mass Effect 3. the worst ending i have ever seen in a game.
Deus Ex had a good ending. It you know made sense and fits well with Deus Ex 1. Pushing the button also makes more sense in Human Revolution compared to shooting, touching or diving in ME3. But Panchea sucked Edios admits they rushed it.
As for me...
1. Mass Effect 3
2. Dragon Age 2 not only does it end 3 years too early but Isabella escapes from the Arishock? What a ****ing dumb ass.
3. Beyond Good and Evil. It's not bad because of the quality it's bad because it's ****ing 2012 and the sequel isn't out yet.

Shadow the Hedgehog- I know I know, but it was like they were trying to make the most terrible incoherent ending ever.
The Simpsons Road Rage- After hours of driving around to raise money, Mr. Burns is like, "Fine, no more radioactive buses" END. You don't earn anything from beating the game and just feel like there was no real closure or reward, just a brief clip. Granted, it was a short game.
Crackdown- Not sure if no one's meintioned this, but if they haven't, I'm completely shocked. Just..what?
KOTOR- If you went dark side, you get to be bad for 2 minutes and see Revan with a big huge army. If you're choose light side, its Return of the Jedi without the ewoks. Plus Carth's grin.

im not saying it dint made sense but adam telling you a story with some pics/videos in the background is also not very creative and imaginnative. pressing 4 buttons is lame and it could have been thought out better. game as such was great.

Far cry 2, I was left thinking, is that it?
Halo 2, need I say anything?
Borderlands, probably the worst ending ever.
Dragon age 2, just bleugh.
And countless others, but I haven't got the time to list them.

Fear 3's wasn't much better but I'll let it slide since it kinda made sense. Otherwise here's my list.
- Borderlands (-.- I'll never forgive it)
- Fear 2
- Alan Wake (it was good but...just confusing as hell)
- Amnesia: The dark descent
- Assassins Creed 1 (writing on the wall? Big woop!)
- Mass Effect 3

i respect your opinions, so dont get me wrong but i like to mention thse facts quickly.
it was known that episodes will follow after half life 2. sure it leaves you with questions, but you got them answered in the next game. now if epi 3 will finally come.
the same is with the assassins creed games. its a trilogy, so its obvious that they will leave the ending(s) open for the sequel. im very happy with the endings. its mysterious and you want to know how it continues. at least i know that it will continue and will answer my questions.
wile in ME3, which is the final game of this saga, and we get an ending with more plot wholes then a swiss chees.

At the end of the game as Catwoman you can just leave Arkham City and leave it (and Batman) to burn, with Catwoman even saying, "Screw him." Of course if you do this the credits reverse and it takes you back to save him anyway.
Silent Hill Bad+ ending:
You end up accidentally killing your own daughter that you've spent the entire game trying to save and crying over her dead body and then after the credits Cybil (pretty much your only true friend throughout the game) slaps you and tells you "Go home Harry." Yeah, talk about your hard work feeling like it was all for nothing.

You spend the entire game chasing an arms smuggler and in the end you team up with him and die from Malaria.

Not a game but MockingJay. Game wise I'd say Too Human
Mockingjay? Hell no.
For reason I won't discuss because of possibly spoiling Hunger Games, Mockingjay is a good ending to the trilogy.
ME3 is the worst ending in a video game I've ever personally experienced. I bet there are worse ones out there, but none that I've played.

I did ask for act 3 to be changed but Bioware was not interested so i did not buy any DLC’s for the game and just forgot the game.
ME3 has a much better ending even with the plot holes.

Final Fantasy xiii-2. It was much more hopeless and frustrating.
To be fair, this was done intentionally because they intend to make expansions via DLC.
As for the topic, none really. Chrono Cross' ending is ambiguous as hell but plausible in it's own weird little way. So I don't mind it, even if you really do need to analyze it half to death.

Plenty of dark endings FFXIII-2,Shadow Hearts et al. But they at least make sense in context.
The game they ripped off DX, the ending works there. Because it makes sense.
Nothing beats ME3 which ticks both the nonsensical and pointless boxes.
