"Credit Farming/Exploit/Cheat"

I understand they took a stance on cheating but that seems more focused on the "PC version" of the game as opposed to the console version.
Anyway my question is will there be reprecautions to doing this? Seems to take the fun out of actually playing the game once you manage to cheat your way to several million credits and potentially every Mk X weapon/mod/whatever in the game..

I'd expect bans incoming.

At the same time, Bioware has explicitly stated that the obvious cheaters will be banned. If it happens once, I don't think they'll care, but if you're farming millions of credits, chances are you'll end up banned.
Although, to be fair by the time the banning happens you'll have already gotten all the fun out of the game anyway. XD

Course. There is extensive server side logging going on, as evidenced by the operations, and since all credits are handled server side, it's a relatively easy report to run. Simply check for people who got rewards in the zone of gold round 10, without round 3 or 6.
I'd expect bans incoming.
They'll have to check for repeated offenses. I've joined a few games in round 9 or 10 that were already in progress.

I don't think it really takes the fun out of it. It depends on which aspect of the game you enjoy. I don't like the randomized reward system - I think it's obtuse. That said, I understand why people would seek to abuse it.

Exactly my point. If you farm millions of credits to get every possible thing there is to get. What's left to do? There'd be nothing to work for.. you'd have it all already that's part of the fun for me. I have to actually work to get the best weapons as opposed to just exploiting a glitch and having it all basically handed to me on a silver platter.

No it won't - credits are tracked on Bioware's servers whether you've got feedback on or not.
So everyone who has lost his credits will have them back?
Anyway, I'm glad to hear that. Could I ask you what your source is?

exploiting a glitch or modding the game i hope they get banned. but for using the skills given and a tactic that works good for farming no ban there just the skill balances are needed.
To be fair, people still have to play through the wave and complete the objective. They still need the skill to beat Wave 10, they're just taking less time to do it.

But how does other people ruining their own experience ruin the game for you? What's your stake in how other people play the game?

Personally, the only thing stopping me from doing it is new character DLC. On the off chance they are banning, missing the DLC isn't worth it.

People cheat to get credits, people use credits to get EVERYTHING, people lose interest in the game, people stop playing the game, harder to find a match with people, other people lose interest in the game due to lack of players ultimately making it harder for people to increase their galactic readiness leading to outrage over poor community.

You know what would be funny, when Bioware finds them and bans them or resets everything on their multiplayer account back to level 1 and starting weapons only, ie level 1 Avenger etc.
I don't think it would be funny, it would make the game boring. Those people would just stop playing. No fuss, they'd simply leave. If you want there to be fewer players, yeah, keep pushing for a reset. I've played with people who've exploited the bug, and they're fun to play with. If they were kicked or reset, we'd all just play something else.
"I" think it's funny that people think that other people having better gear in a co-operative game somehow ruins the experience.

Again it's not about having 'better gear', it's having the 'best gear' removing the need for them to actually work to achieve anything ultimately removing the urge to play as it gets boring to them. Either way these people are inevitably going stop playing it seems.

Achieve anything? What is there to achieve? The game is a means unto itself. People play because they enjoy it. The randomized reward system is meant to prolong the experience, not enhance it. The fact that these people are forgoing the intended time spent is beside the point. The gaming experience itself is unaltered.

James, you keep calling this game "work." I don't think you understand the point of a game. I don't play the game as "work" for better weapons, I play it hoping to get better weapons so I can have more fun. Yet here I am, at level ~450, with none of the guns I want.
It's an online game though.. if they gave everyone everything they wanted.. what would be the fun in trying? Sure you have to work for things but that ultimately makes it all the better when you get it.
Maybe i'm just 'old school' but where's the fun if things are easy to come by.. maybe they should just add a marketplace so people can buy what they want without having to go through the whole "pack" thing.

Are you also OK with aimbot? Dodgebots?
What level of cheating are you OK with?
