I'm simply arguing why partaking in it doesn't make you a bad person and why it doesn't affect others.

Who would leave the lobby open to randoms who would disrupt the process? That scenario is based on multiple far out assumptions.
wolfstanus misinterpreted me and the post I'm quoting. The point is that it really isn't harmful and is just a form of unfun grinding. The scenario was only mentioned to demonstrate how unlikely it is that anyone would be negatively impacted by it.
Actualy no I was just to lazy to delete the first part.
Theres quite a number who would leave it open. As the get a kick out of it or being lazy.

1- The people focused on getting fast money want to slow it down with randoms
2- The random that joins is for some reason upset he joined a wave 10 match, but refuses to leave.
3- Once in the lobby after the wave he still won't leave, but is somehow having his game ruined.

Are you also OK with aimbot? Dodgebots?
What level of cheating are you OK with?"
You need to put that slippery slope baloney away. Getting fast credits to buy guns in the game is NOT the same as flat out altering code to automate performance. Being accepting of one is not the same as the other.
Oh, and pray tell, what's the difference? One uses an exploit in the games code, one uses additional code on top of it. Both are cheats.
One results in performance matching possible performance from random unlocks. The other results in performance only possible through alteration of the game's code that can never be achieved without cheating. Gee, these things are totally the same! (no the aren't, you ninny)

But on the other side of the argument yea it's wrong to exploit these cheats and it does make it unfair to players who don't have as good weapons and see someone exploiting the glitch with powerful weapons at x.
Support whichever side you want but in the end you should not be banned for exploiting this glitch...

I agree that there shouldn't be a BAN persay.. maybe a reset of their account leaving them how they were before the initial cheat process or potentially bring them back to nothing forcing them to start over from scratch while at the same time patching the glitch so that it couldn't be repeated in the future.

Modifying files, hacking the game, these are what will get you banned. This won't. Argue against it if you will, but that doesn't change the fact they will have gold weapons at X and working on their N7's.

I had to leave twice today because something was definitely wrong. For example, I had infinite ammo in one game.
I do NOT want to play a modified game. These cheaters should just be kicked off MP permanently if you ask me. And measures should be taken to prevent cheating instead of just letting the cheaters ruin it for the rest of us while it's being logged somewhere (maybe).

You know what would be funny, when Bioware finds them and bans them or resets everything on their multiplayer account back to level 1 and starting weapons only, ie level 1 Avenger etc.
I don't think it would be funny, it would make the game boring. Those people would just stop playing. No fuss, they'd simply leave. If you want there to be fewer players, yeah, keep pushing for a reset. I've played with people who've exploited the bug, and they're fun to play with. If they were kicked or reset, we'd all just play something else.
"I" think it's funny that people think that other people having better gear in a co-operative game somehow ruins the experience.
Again it's not about having 'better gear', it's having the 'best gear' removing the need for them to actually work to achieve anything ultimately removing the urge to play as it gets boring to them. Either way these people are inevitably going stop playing it seems.
Newsflash, game is already boring. Having to promote so many times really did it for me. Not to mention 10 straight character cards out of spectre packs

It stops being fun very very fast.
This applies everywhere.
In here, you'll just get bored with the game and stop playing it sooner.

Yeah and cheating in a party based game is like rubbing your favorite dessert in everyone's faces. That isn't even good the first time.

If they get reset, they will stop playing. If they stop playing = fewer people finding/hosting matches. Fewer hosts/players = more time you spend
And this was all made possible because you would not mind your own business and forget about the people taking advantage of the credit glitch because you thought for some reason having all weapons at X would make them super powerful when the real power doesn't come from guns but rather biotic explosions, something everybody can do no matter the weapon levels

They cheated. Won't break my heart if they leave.

A character reset is just as bad as a ban would be. That isn't happening either.

Knowing EA, they might just block your whole origin account and every game related to it.
To which the response would probably be yar har fiddle dee dee, but still ...
desert every day = boring etc.

Course. There is extensive server side logging going on, as evidenced by the operations, and since all credits are handled server side, it's a relatively easy report to run. Simply check for people who got rewards in the zone of gold round 10, without round 3 or 6.
I'd expect bans incoming.
Oh, cool. Does that mean we can do it risk-free on PS3?

I don't understand the appeal. It's fairly easy to unlock all the Gold Weapons and characters with a little time, and even if you have a trillion credits it's very possible you won't get a single N7 weapon in all your Spectre packs due to the current unlock system. I'm guessing the people using this glitch probably have a *lot* of character cards.
Umm, more packs = more chance? I thought it was a fairly straightforward concept.
