Bright side: At least they figured out how to make multiplayer fun. "Relevant", though, is a matter of debate.

Tell that to PS3 players.

360 has some of, though not all, the same problems.

This pretty much sums up the PS3 MP:

(And when I posted that on the PS3 technical board, Mr. Woo locked my thread)

There were a lot of false statements not only about the ending, but the whole game as well. It takes a lot of time to do the writing, programming, modeling, texturing, lighting, animating, voice recording, etc. etc. So even though it is very possible that they had to scramble in the end because they ran out of time, I think they must have known a long time ago that a lot of their promises were not going to be honored. And they still marketed the game according to what they knew the fans wanted and expected, even though they ended up making the game THEY wanted, not what the fans wanted. They were sitting on a
goldmine with such a fantastic franchise and devoted fans, and they blew it. And then they have the nerve to act surprised and upset about the fans’ reactions...

I can't help but wonder what happened between that original vision for the game and the end result. They just don't mesh at all. Sadface.

And then they want to talk about artistic integrity I mean if they cared about it why remove an important squad mate in Javik just to make it dlc and then have us find out he was still in the game anyway?

I know the answer is money but still it made me facepalm seeing this www.youtube.com/watch

Yeah, I know, I've just watched that, too. They absolutely lied about that. I'm glad that people found that he was actually supposed to be in the game and posted the proof.

Maybe these people should worry less about artistic integrity and more about plain old integrity.

You know, like not blatantly misleading people or lying about what you're going to put into a game?

I honestly don't buy the "they couldn't figure out how to make the endings fit all of our decisions". I just don't buy that. For the most part, if I had high enough EMS, I expected to bring down the Reapers and somehow get back down to Earth (they could make up whatever space magic they want for that), and then my squadmates (the two I picked on the Ending Mission) would like dig me out of a pile of bricks.

Depending on the EMS, again, I would either be alive or dead at this point (and you can change the mood of how they dig me out as well). If I'm dead, cut to my funeral or something, and then show where some of my old squadmates and LI head to afterward.

If I'm alive, have James or Liara say something sarcastic, show Tali and Garrus secret holding hands, cut to Wrex or Wreav or Grunt helping Krogan get onto a ship to head home and they get a radio blurb "he's alive!" and then they all claim credit for Shepard living and us winning the war "We are Krogan, this day will live in Krogan infamy" or something.

Show the Geth flying back to their Dyson Ball. Show Tali calling back home (or heading back home). There's other stuff here that can be included. And somewhere in there, show Shepard reuniting with his LI, IN PERSON, not on a hologram.

If they came up with that ridiculous ending scene, I don't wanna hear how they couldn't make that above scene happen. I'm sorry, I just don't want to hear it.

That list has been bound and put in print.  It's now known as the encycolpedia brittanica.

Bioware is going down in legend for the best troll ever, mark my word. Best. Trolling. Ever.

They'll drag this out as long as they can then release a press release that just says "Problem?" with Trollface

This is getting pretty hysterical

No that's going to be the new dlc ending. You play it and it will be exactly the same endings as before except in the end they'll add trollface

“… part of what you’re trying to do is save the universe so you can live in it. That’s part of the promise, I think, for any great IP. It has to be a world worth saving… I think Mass Effect has that quality to it. If you get rid of the Reapers and win that, wouldn’t it be amazing to just live on the Citadel or just take a ship to Omega? That makes sense.”

So... either Casey obviously understands why the ending is horrible, or he had a massive change of heart over the past year. :?
