I agree with your take on it thou OP, not everyone should magically turn bisexual, they should introduce new characters, like Steve.

Yes, it appears to be a naturally occuring disorder. As I said, genetic therapy should eliminate it.

Throughout the Mass Effect series the homosexual romances for Male Shep are Kaiden and Cortez and for Female Shep there are the Kelly, Liara, Traynor, Diana Allers and The Asari Consort (though really the last two are cut scenes I'm throwing it in there for kicks) romances.

For Male Sheppard Heterosexual romances there it Liara, the Asari Consort, Tali, Jack, Kelly, Miranda, Diana Allers, and Ashley Williams. While for Female heterosexual romances we have Kaiden, Garrus, Jacob, and Thane.

So with this in mind if someone's argument is that the Sheppards have far too many gay interests I will (un)happily point out that the straight relationships out number the gay the ones.

Now as I understand it you're saying that the currently existing characters who have not been cannonized as bisexual or homosexual should not ever be open to exploring that potential aspect of their sexuality based on the idea that not everyone is gay. While I get where you are coming from, and it's absolutely true that no, not everyone is gay, I honestly do not think that should exclude main characters from at the very least addressing (someone's) cannon Sheppard's homosexuality.

Even having a simple cut scene of Male Shep suggesting some awesome man/turian time and Garrus bro-like/awesomely turning Shep down would have been so great. If you're with me on that then cool. If you think that the issue should never be brought with BroShep and Garrus then cool too.

However one of my bigger peeves with Bioware was them backing off from making Miranda Romanceable by both Sheps. It was going to be cannon, written into the story, the whole shabang. I wish I knew why they let that one go. I know my FemShep and her would have made a boss couple.
