So I created a creature to stick in my custom level. It spawns properly and even comes over to me when I enter its visbility range. However, it won't attack me, even as I pound away at it.
Settings on the creature property tab (at least the ones that seem relevant):
class: MONSTER_SPELLCASTER
Group: _Hostile
AI Script: creature_core
General Package Type: Monster - Spellcasters
Package: Abomination - Rage
Package AI: AIP_Abomination_Rage
Rank: Weak Normal
Creature Type: Combatant
My understanding is that choosing a package makes the engine automatically choose abilities appropriate to the level and type of creature, and you don't need to manually add skills and spells.
Am I neglecting to do something to make it attack me?

I still haven't figured out what went wrong. I did hit refresh. I ended up deleting the creature (a wisp) and copied the existing wisp with its properties. It now attacks me properly. I'll see what happens as I tweak setting by setting. The only thing I can figure out is that certain conditions canceled each other out, such as trying to cast a third level spell when it wasn't 3rd level or something like that. I think I'm over the hump with the steep learning curve (I almost have a fully functional area with dialogue, cutscenes, combat, scripts, etc.), but there are intricacies to the toolset that will take me a while to fully understand.
