Vasir, any day of the week, and twice on Sunday. Vasir was a total BAMF. She didn't need and email and three other characters to tell you she was a BAMF. She just showed up and was completely freaking awesome from the word go.

Lair of the Shadow Broker had some epic villains in Vasir and the Shadow Broker

We really made it this far into the thread without some smartass like me coming in and saying "Blasto the Hanar Spectre?"

This one's work here is done.

 Vasir.

Vanguards are pretty bad ass.

Vasir. Vasir was a far better boss fight than Kai Leng. That was possibly the best DLC for a game I've ever played. Though, Old World Blues was pretty sweet, too.

Vasir = Vangaurd. Vanguard > Poser Ninja with shield hax and invincible gunships... and ****

Thus Vasir > Kai Leng and his cereal

Vasir easily. A sick and weary Thane kicked Kai Lengs ass in hand to hand combat before Leng picked up his sword and cheaply stabbed thane.

Ermm... Kai brought a knife to gun fight with Thane and won. I think people make a lot of the fact that Thane was ill, and perhaps rightly so. But he wasn't noticeably lethargic in that scene, and most importantly, I mean, Kai killed him.

I'm surprised at the popularity of Tela Vasir, though. I never thought of her as anything beyond a slightly above average throw away plot device. I mean, unless I'm missing something, she was a very brief character in a DLC installment. I guess she had that one good exchange before she died. Kai has multiple books and all of ME3 behind him. I dunno. I'm in the minority though, I can respect that.

Kai Leng also brought shields. Lots of shields. His shields would survive a cain. So... knife to a gunfight argument doesn't work.

Tela Vasir.
As much as her boss fight was simple crap and the same formulaic 'Boss fights you, jumps away and has minions fight you, jumps back' as opposed to a fight that had any strategy, Leng was even worse, and just a pathetically easy to defeat opponent. You want a good boss fight, Mr Freeze from Batman Arkham City on Story Plus. THAT is a boss fight.

Tela had the better boss fight, but Kai Leng was just so much more satisfying to kill.

In a fight together? I'd say Tela. She can fight just as dirty as Kai Leng but I think she could do it better.

Kai Leng in the books was better than Kai Leng in the game. Well, except for Deception, anyways. You don't really get a lot of characterization for him in the game, which is a shame, because he was interesting character and a total bad**** in the books. Up until he stole Anderson's cereal and took a whiz in some random person's potted plant. *Cue Double Face Palm*

Vasir was a far better adversary then Kai Leng. Funny how she appeared only in DLC and Kai Leng was supposed to be a main antagonist in the end of the trilogy. They should have switched places.

Vasir was far easier than Kai Leng. Just abuse Stasis.  Other than that, can't say I really enjoyed either character.

I would have liked to have been able to spare Tela and sign her armor.

With Kai I just wish I could have killed him more.

I was a vanguard for both fights. Vasir was harder for me to catch and wail on than Kai Leng (seriously, he took an awful lot of punches from me for someone who claimed Shepard was so slow), so I think she'd win.

I don't know... Kai Leng DID steal Anderson's cereal... as far as we know, Vasir never attempted something so drastic

Tela Vasir was by far the better character.

Kai Leng was pretty much just a caricature of a character. His only purpose was to stand in silly poses and trigger 'cutscene plot bombs'.

Yeah but most of the credit for that goes to Kai Leng's gunship buddy.

Hell, I would have been happy to just agree with her when she called me on working with Cerberus and not have Shepard try and justify it no matter what you do and then patch her up with some medi gel just to show there aren't any hard feelings.

Most of that goes to the cutscene too. damn cutscenes.

Yeah, even the most open games have to force you to do something you don't wanna do at some point.  Like in Mass Effect 2, Miranda's all "Everyone's in the shuttle, we'll all leave the Normandy together." there's no option to say "That's an incredibly dangerous idea, how about I'll take two of you with me and everyone else will stay on the ship while Joker and EDI are running unknown Reaper tech, that way if, and I know this is a longshot, the Collectors find the ship and board it, you know, the crew can be protected".

Vasir easily. The only time you have to worry about Kai Leng is if you're a terminally ill Drell, or he's got a toothbrush.

And since no one has mentioned it, Vasir also featured in a number of the Cerberus Daily News articles regarding the leaked Citadel Budget. So was nifty after reading about her to have her actually featured in DLC.
