You guys might be being too hard on bioware.

In the first 15 minutes of play in Katamari Damacy it's established that the king of the cosmos detroyed the galaxy for no apparent reason and that's why you have to roll up everything to make a new galaxy. Maybe we're being too critical. At least the catalyst lied and tried to make it seem like there was a reason the galaxy gets destroyed.
