Has anyone asked them on Twitter? They've promised us an announcement of some sort during PAXEast and until I know what it is there's no point in me or anyone else getting excited or there lack of.

Um, at least as long as Indoctrination Theory is right ;)

Same here, they don't actually have to change anything, just continue.
The article says there will be no "alternative" end or "no different end", so I'm still hoping.

What I really do NOT want is a DLC that includes a little text that "explains" the starchild and your choices, I want to actually PLAY a DLC that takes place after the ending - or at least dialogue with your squaddies/ LI.

Yeah good luck explaining star child.

BioWare: It's an AI controlling the Reapers. It's not space magic or a plot hole!
Fans: Sovereign claimed the Reapers have no master..
BioWare: Sovereign didn't know, that's also why the catalyst didn't help him in ME1.
Fans: Good job, you just insulted the Reapers and the franchise even more.

Fans dissaprove -20

No amount of explaining is going to cause the ending to suddenly make sense, or make it any better. I hope BioWare realizes that before it's too late.

Nice. Does that mean you can all calm down and move onto a new fandom, now? Because it sure is getting crowded in here, and you obviously aren't getting the thing you want. At this point in time, it would be best to stop trying.

Also, lol at everyone still refusing to believe this.

No, they're listening. You wanted Star Child to make some sense, this is what is going to happen. You're deluded if you think they're going to spend another 5 months on making a few varying endings.

The amount of anger directed at bioware is quite interesting. As is their response. The statement that any personal attacks and such would be responded to with instant bans does tell that Bioware seems to be taking an odd position where rather than considering fan feedback they are trying to stomp down on it.

Where have you been? The forum's chock-full of uncensored fan 'feedback'. Nothing's been censored. Everything has been reiterated to death.

I can see your point and have to admit you are right in some ways. But you can't have missed the threat they laced in the update to the site rules and code of conduct.

I'm not buying a clarification dlc I'll just forget mass effect if they want to justify star child and three preset endings.

Same here  I will walk away from EA and Bioware and poison as many people as I can on the whole company.  I am totally fine with an immature reaction, they pooped on my cupcake

I'm asking twitter, they never answer me though, and I'm polite too!

EDIT: Yeah I was right...no answer.

Guys, you seriously all need to calm down, what was said may have struck a chord, ill admit i was shocked aswell untill i actually read the thing and realise this was basically the mexican version of Dr. Ray's post. Nothing is set in stone, wait for PAX, dont lose your temper, thats how we automatically lose this fight.

while i whole heartedly agree... i must point out that please direct your anger at those who truly did the harm... and i suspect we will find that to be management... especially in organisations like EA... developers don't have that much choice... management sets the line and it has to be followed.

Yeah, 'clarification'.

Take your DLC and shove it where the sun doesn't shine, Bioware.

I saw it. The message is clear. You can be critical, just avoid making personal insults.

and you know how you do that.... game sales and speak with your dollars because its clear the anger letters, articles in  Forbes and WSJ are enough to get through to these guys.

As for the devs - well that is risk you  take working for a company that has a bad reputation with its consumers and its costumers.  Trust me I know - I work for Comast for 2 years  and caught all types of hell.

I don't believe i did make a personal insult to anyone... i attacked the organisation. there is nothing personal there. I didn't say, so and so from bioware. i said Bioware... i don't see it as a personal insult but rather a commentary on a companies policy.

we should have known there was something up when the new site rules flashed up just before release. Why would they do that if the game was brilliant? Clearly they knew it sucked big balls.

You're clearly the one not listening here. THOSE endings are EXACTLY the types of endings that should have been included in ME3. The way Bioware ended Mass Effect 3 was completely unacceptable, and only a complete and utter **** would state otherwise. The star child makes no sense. The catalyst makes no sense. The Normandy crash landing makes no sense. The squadmates teleporting makes no sense. The fact that none of your choices change a single thing and are not mentioned was completely lazy.

Mass Effect players deserve better than this. This was just foul, disgusting and insulting on so many levels. I paid 60$ for the varied endings they were talking about, and until they give them to me, I won't stop arguing against Bioware and their idiotic attempts to walk around the issue. I don't care if they go bankrupt because of this at all, Mass Effect was the only franchise they've made in the past few years that even mattered. To see it killed because of their incompetence is just terrible.

Expected from an EA-subsidiary.

Expanding and trying to explain something that doesn't make sense isn't going to make sense.

No amount of explanation is going to make 1 + 1 = 193

And gaming's equivalent of the Tea Party is still unhappy.

Good.

BioWare could quite easily address all reasonable complaints over the ending with simple clarifications. If they explain why the relays blowing up didn't kill everyone, if they explain how the fleet stranded on Earth managed to exist happily, if they explain the Normandy scene... there is little else for you people to be upset over.

Of course, this is just further evidence that you people want a happier ending.

Umm maybe you need to read some more threads in the forum.....because we don't want or need Shepard to live or have a happy ending.....we want multiple endings based on our choices throughout the game as was promised by Casey Hudson himself.....

Choice and consequence is what the Mass Effect series is based on.....if we aren't given that opportunity after what we experienced in the first two games, and after what was promised for ME3 pre-release.....then Bioware has lost a longtime fan.....

so if you think that the stupid, idiotic, juvenile, lazy written ending will suffice if only they "explained it", then you are smoking some serious stuff.....and you need to pass it this way....

If there is any element of truth to the report on further explaining a bad ending in the "artistic expression " excuse delivered i officially give up on bioware. All i wanted was a decent ending alot of dlc single player content other than character and items and some resolution to Sherpards relationship, to the crew mysterious teleport to the normady and exile on some distant planet, endless plotholes, lack of real choice and a star kid to kick off the next franchise funny how mass effection with harwke ruined dragon age 2 and dragon age 2 kicked over to the end of mass effect 3

you said i shouldn't deliver personal insults. thereby implying that that's what i had done. sorry if i misunderstood your point.

But the general point i was just trying to make is that if you know your product was good... you shouldn't be having to use the threat of unwarned and permanent bans on your forums.
