No more "Shut up and take my money" for them, in that case.

I'll wait till an "official" claim on the website, but if that's true, then I'll be moving on, and leaving this husk of a studio to the sycophants and bootlickers that lap this stuff up.

Doomsday clock status: 10 minutes to midnight.

Pax will be the final 5 minutes, hope they save themselves from potential meltdown.

I never wanted them to scrap the ending. I only wanted a continuation, with better conclusion. Or better, continuation through Indoctrination theory.
This isn't particularly bad.

Same!
What has been seen cannot be unseen imo and tbh the stranded races and the rebuilding of the galactic community could make for a great game, lots of potential drama/problems. I'm excited to see what happens after ME3. But yeah, plot holes MUST be sorted.

I have to say that to me mere continuation can't fix this... this was a breaking of the very premise of the entire series... that our choices mattered... in this ending, the choices didn't matter at all... That's why just continuation or clarification is inadequate in my opinion

Hmm while I agree that more of your choices should have affected the ending, we did see a fair few choices from previous games during 3, but just not at the end which was a massive shame. Just to be clear I hated the ending but I'm not going to let a terrible 10mins ruin my favorite franchise

There was never going to be a new ending, so this falls in line with what I already knew. those of you holding out for a complete re-write were always kidding yourselves.

If this is true, then BioWare just lost a customer.

Understatement: Bioware will have just lost A LOT of it's customers. Remember, the Retake Mass Effect is not clearly available to everyone. Mass Effect originally was a singleplayer game and as such, it'd not be suprising if a large amount of the community cannot access the web to complain and/or is not willing to create an account just to moan.

Think about it: if someone becomes president of the USA by winning the votes at 40%, that person doesn't have 40% of the population of America backing them, just the people who care to vote. (trust me, not everyone votes. Not much point in it either).

All in all, there's a lot more of the community against them than is may seem. And a large amount of the community is already against them. I believe that they've kicked their community in the balls twice now. I don't think many people are going to trust them any more.

curious. i trust a representative speaking to a news paper i have never heard of in a language i dont speak more than i do biowares actual promises.

i still expect at best epilogue slide dlc and nothing more. you know the crap that should of been in the game in the first place.. That said i hope im wrong and its more substantial.

this is truly GLORIOUS im finding bioware trying to salvage their relationship via silence and PR speak better than the actual game for entertainment purposes

Really? I'm sorry, in which language do you prefer these things to be published so that you'll believe them?

In any case, EA Anywhere Marketing Department is not BioWare. Still, it's a blow.

I'm on my first playthough and all I need to know about the ending I've seen here.

I was hoping to delay the inevitable until BW stepped up and maybe fixed things, but I'm running out of game.

So at what point should I stop playing in in order to avoid walking into the multicolored lights...?

The part where you see Anderson and TIM together.

People are more optimistic than I am.

"This is the end of Shepard," doesn't exactly bode well for the indoc theory.

I can understand your point but again i have to disagree... yeah i do that a lot.
The last 10 minutes are in effect the msot crucial it's where it all boils down to. I'm not saying all the decisions should be present but infact not one of them is present there... Not one decision you made has any bearing on the end at all... not the rachni, not the krogans, not your npc buddies, not the quarian geth situation, not saving the council, not one decision you made has any bearing... and to me that meant that all the time i'd invested had been made moot and worthless... none of what i'd done up until that point mattered in the end... that is why it ruined the series for me...
It is also why i believe the only way to fix this is to remove the last 20 minutes and completely redo the ending.

Before getting to the beam. Or quit the game as soon as you finish the scene with TIM and Anderson.

when you sit down with anderson... at that point... hit esc and exit... or when the illusive man looks at earth and calls it perfect... those are the two moments where you should just esc and exit game.

To be fair, nothing has ever boaded well for the indoctrination theory. Including the actual creation of the theory. Every new piece of information was more of a hole someone needed to invent a way to plug rather than any actual boon.

So simply because the language it was printed in is Spanish you're not going to take it seriously? Even if the paper was from say, Spain?

I know there aren't many compelling reasons to believe what's in the newspaper is true, but I don't see many compelling reasons to believe it isn't true, either. Wanting to wait for something directly from BioWare, I understand. Disregarding anything because it's from Mexico, that's something I can't wrap my head around. There are disreputable newspapers in Canada, too.

Don't look too far into it man....all I'm saying is I doubt the source of this article is in on any of Biowares secrets....and that I'm not going to attempt to translate it due to this fact.....

It's more like 6 minutes to midnight now, with each day 1 minute closer. So it will be 3 minutes to midnight on 6th.

They have once chance, only one chance to save their faces. If the blow it up, there is no way, even if they do remake the ending, so save their reputation. They will always be remembered from ME3.

It's official, EA say DLC for the ending:

http://twitter.com/#...936558312628224

That's actually not the status I was referring to so that means they've said it specifically twice at least.

http://twitter.com/#...889830280597504

That's the one I was referring to, so yeah, twice at least.

yes but does that mean there is clarification? or actual alteration... because just clarifying it still doesn't fix the horrifying injustice that the current ending is...

Whats hilarious about all the griping going on, is that the guy in this article didn't say anything different from what we've already heard two weeks ago. Its as if this is new information. It does't take much to get some of you completely bent out of shape.

Why is anyone surprised by this? We already knew this was the case from Ray's statement. He stood by the endings as is and said there would be clarification. Never was there any indication they were going to change the ending.

Isn't this just the corporate line though?
'We have no new ending (at time of article), I know of no such plans for a new ending (at time of article) I know of no such plans as to provide additional clarification to the current ending (at time of article)'

Please stop with the 'n minutes to midnight' malarkey, it's daft. Patience is a gift card many of you appear to have cashed in for indignation.
