I'm not buying a clarification dlc I'll just forget mass effect if they want to justify star child and three preset endings.

Same here. I will read about the DLC and that's it. Besides, 04/15 Diablo 3 comes out...EA is dead to me.

Its fine you can keep the endings they just need to be much better executed. Its not even the endings its the aftermath I have a problem with (particularly the Normandy)

We should probably wait for information from the people who are actually making said DLC, before we start taking EA's advice.
They're the least trust-worthy source for this right now.

But you see the bioware people openlly said the plan was clarification not change, people just we hopeful to the point of blindness and ignored that little detail.

Incorrect. There has also been talk of changing them as well, or atleast putting in -better- endings, to more suit what they had originally promised. But even so, it's all speculation until they give us actual information on what they'll be doing. Whether it be clarification, in which case they'll lose a -ton- of customers, future, and current. Or, adding more endings (which is what a lot of us hope they do at the very least, or impliment the Indoctrination Theory or something.), but at that point, the issue is if they're going to charge us for the DLC, when they shouldn't due to their little bit of a screw up.

So, it'll just stay the worst ending in video game history?

Nevertheless, I don't believe it until they make an official announcement.

At the end of the day they are likely of the mindset that the only reason people dislike the ending is because they dont "get" it, and with clarification people will just go "oooohhhh ok, that's awesome". its a stupid mindset of course but no one wants to admit they jacked up their creation. Just headcon and move on, bioware isnt truly listening.

Quite simple: the ending is totally broken, I don't believe in IT or any other explanation, the ending is just bad story telling and was obviously made by different people than the rest of game.

Fix it or my wallet stays closed...

..will wait till PAX

If it's not free and decent, i will just ignore anything that comes from bioware because as a customer i don't like being treated like an idiot.

When did they discuss changing it outside of their empty "we're listening and taking into account your thoughts" nonsense?  I seem to remember the vice president of bioware or whatever specifically saying the plan was clarification.

I'm not buying any clarification **** because no matter what they say introducing a new character in the last five minutes with no foreshadowing is not acceptable, let alone the lack of variety in the endings of a game based upon choice.

BioWare is NOT listening.

Give them a chance to bring out whatever they had in store for us at PAX before throwing stones. Mike, Jessica, and all of Bioware on Twitter have been alluding that there is more to the story and that we need to sit tight.

it is WE THE FANS that haven't been listening.

We've known this for a while now. Anyone who actually thought they would redo the whole ending was deluded.

April 6th will be official, they want to stop any returns that Amazon accepts for starters. I beat them to that punch. Just in case, not like I can't get it right back if they pull some miracle.

@Dorrieb: can you point to the source link/scanned reference to double check ?

but its basically exactly inline with what i read from Paul Barnett´s (Biowre Mythic) post and posts before (ie "more closure") without changing "artistic integrity"
nm waiting for pax b4 removing the games and parting ways with this company. too arty 4 my simple gamers heart & i was already tierd after DA2

The only thing to "clarify" is Joker speeding off and mass relays not wiping out the systems they're in. That's not something you simply explain, that's an oversight you fix.

The brand needs serious help. Insulting angered fans with some "you just didn't get it" BS is not going to help in that regard.

Ok seriously?

"I have a mexican newspaper that says this, i can't show you it or link it or prove it in any way shape or form. But it sounds official because EA latin america says so. It also sounds true because he spouted out something Bioware said before launch"

Are you Ashton Kutcher? Cuz i got my own version of Punk'd called "Tomahawk'd" ya i stole it from Peter Griffin...

Again, sorry everyone, I didn't mean to stir up trouble. I just read that in the newspaper and thought some of you might care to know. I do hope you're right. It probably wouldn't be the first time a PR rep said something that wasn't entirely accurate.

I did find a link to the article but it's behind a subscription wall. In case anyone is interested, it's here:

In Spanish, obviously.
