Lets not jump to anything here, we dont know what EA and BW has in store for us, lets just hold on and have some faith in them.

Agreed, this is Bioware's first massive faliure and it might not even be that bad, we'll have to wait for the DLC to properly judge, otherwise it's all hearsay and speculation and Bioware deserves some more respect than that.

BioWare is NOT listening.

again I think people are really going overboard with " change" .. I dont mean wanting things fixed, it's focusing on that word alone in it's own context

of course they wont " change" what we currently have, they can add on, continue, etc, remember the language being used has to be very very specific

so wait until PAX, but again until them remember press speak and conversational speak is not the same.

Not all hope is lost, consider that this is an official statement from a Statellite Branch. EA Latin America might not be up to speed with any of the newest development. He might be running on 2 week old information and when asked a question he honestly answered. It happens in huge companies, with continental subdivisions.

Secondly clarification can be anything, it can involve some changes and even expand heavily on the current endings.

Thirdly, usually a parent company releases new information first first EA US (or whatever they are called) would be the real announcers from the corporate front while Bioware still holds the right to officially announce things first. This is an incident of the man giving an existing answer.

If that was a true announcement... he probably seriously pissed off someone on the Board of Directors in LA. Headquarter corporates do not like it when subordinate branches take liberty to make early announcements.

I'm not buying a clarification dlc I'll just forget mass effect if they want to justify star child and three preset endings.

Same here. I will read about the DLC and that's it. Besides, 04/15 Diablo 3 comes out...EA is dead to me.

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news. 5/15 :(

Until we get official word directly from Bioware, anything is suspect.

^this. While I can support buying an ending DLC that includes something like the IT or just a better ending closure-wise I cannot support buying a DLC that does something the game I paid 80 dollars should have done in the first place. You know what sets a bad precedent? Not explaining your ending throughly enough and having to clarify it through any form of DLC.

I'm holding the line until PAX. That's where it's all coming to a head.

Honestly some of you are just blindly optimistic. They specifically say clarification not change and some of you are trying to suggest clarification means changes can happen. Face it, at the end of the day they believe the problem is fans dont "get it" not that they made a mistake. Their good reviews and artistic ego has blinded them. Keep waiting for the official announcement if you must, but you are only magnifying the pain you are going to feel when it is in fact a "same endings no actual story change or expansion just explained better oh and btw buy the awesome upcoming multiplayer DLC"

IT

Lets hope so.

If not, then Mass Effect will effectively be transported to some unnamed moon where Joker and the rest of the humans on the Normany retarted civilization, according to some, thousands of years into the future. Screw that, I'm not buying it if so.

If this is true, Ray Muzyka will have no choice but to address disgruntled (ex?)fans again.

Sounds good to me, it makes the validity of the IT more likely.

You can't please all fans with the end to a trilogy that massive, that's why they went for this experiment and IF the indoctrination theory is correct and the resolution is satisfying, I for one am very happy to have been part of this.

yeah... the rest can enjoy lame map packs and MP gimmicks if they want.

I can wait for what they have planned but if it ends like this, yes, I'll exit stage left. It was a good experiment while it lasted but I'm not convinced these tied sequels can actually work. Too much rebooting of the main story for late/new comers that it basically denies proper narrative flow.

Link or it didn't happen. Also hearing it from EA isn't like hearing it from Bioware.

I'll wait for official news from bioware themselves. The day they annouce that no new ending or fix is the day I take money else where (cancel my TOR account), theres plenty of other games that I like and happy to spend my money on. Looking forward to risen2, TSW and civ 5 expansion among others.

Only sad thing would be a great company turning into a sub par one. But hey I'm sure they'll still have plenty of followers just not me.
