I tweeted the Mass Effect twitter, got this:

They say "If you didn't hear it from an official EA/BioWare/Mass Effect source, I would count it as rumors and speculation."

Exactly...calm down people only a few more days to go then you can go mental if ya want. :D

I dont want to turn this into an indoctrination theory thread, but I do want to point out that if indoctrination is true this makes perfect sense, since the ending wouldnt need changing, only clarification. Just let the thought sink in a bit.

My advice: don't get your hopes up. I would love to see it pan out as Indoc, but given the amount of time passed and the dodgy behavior of the official statements, I'd say these guys weren't prepared at all for the reaction they got.

A large chunk of their fanbase turned on them, and since that time, said base has begun to implode over issues of speculation. They have given minimal reaction.

We knew they weren't changing the ending. All that needs to be answered now is exactly what they will be adding. Will they just 'explain' what it meant and treat us like idiots? Or will they give us what we want and tell us what the impacts of our final choice are.

For the record. No one misunderstood the ending. We all get it. It's just bad.

I still dont get it.  :crying:

There you go.

Guys, give it up. Bioware is seriously too stupid to realize it made a crap ending.

They just won't get any more money from me. Period.

What I got out of it is that DLC won't feature Shepard. I hope I'm wrong!

Wait for Pax.

If this turns out to be true though, Bioware lost a customer.

My advice: Stop assuming I hope IT to be true. Believing it/liking it are two totally different things. I believe it because of the evidence I see and because it makes sense, not because I like it, because I definatly do not.

If this turns out true it'll be the death stroke for BioWare.

It seems very odd to me that only one Mexican publication would pick up this story and nobody else would, so I doubt the validity.  A bunch of publications have already gotten Bioware's announcement wrong by saying "Bioware will CHANGE ending," when Bioware never actually committed to changing it.  Unless I can see the article and read it, I'm going to assume they misinterpreted a PR statement like so many other publications.

I'm pretty sure that they lose more than one customer....

Still can't wrap my head around the ending, someone at BW must've seen this coming, no? And further handling of the situation is absolutely unprofessional, this wall of silence doesn't work. BW is just creating a bunch of angry ex-fans which will
A: don't buy anything from EA/BW
B: will remind the world for years to come what happened here, further damaging sales

Well, I told them it was from that Daniel Gonzalez muchacho, and they replied

"We'll announce any potential DLC here and on our blog. So keep checking back!"

They can listen without implementing changes. Clarification is better than the current state of the ending. To expect more is to be unrealistic.

What an executive of a EA subsidiary in another country says, can usually be safely disregarded in the absence of an official statement from the parent corporation.

They're on hazard control.

They've had enough time to confirm whether or not they're releasing a new DLC.

Sure, we'll see, but we don't know yet either. And the must likely situation is that they are -not- going to go through with it -regardless- of what their playsrs though.

Casey Hudson is a very adamant idiot.

I would be totally fine if they left the ending mostly as is, just an explanation of why joker is leaving with our squad, and perhaps an epilogue.

It's just spin.  They could totally change the ending and say it's clearing it up (indoctrination)

They're not going to say they screwed up and maybe do a service for us fans and customers, because 1: lawyers are circling 2: they're just like that.

I'll believe what BW will tell people definitely what they will do when they make an announcement. I am really tired of hearing ambiguous crap from obscure figures somewhere on the internet (this does NOT refer to the OP but other stuff that I've read in the past weeks) or some unrelated EA office.

IF it's actually been said it's probably based on incorrect or outdated info.

I don't see if Bioware themselves are being so carefully quiet that some out of the way exec would know/be allowed to divulge.

Nope its dead.

Im over this bull sh-it now. Bioware, you FU-CKed up DA2 and never listend to anyone.

You have now killed ME3.

Fuc You in general, I look forward to reading in a few years about your Liquidation.

This whole episode has made me relise VideoGames in general have lost their way, the fat cat money men have ruined the industry, your worse than hollywood now in your blatent money for sh-it product.

Im just thankfull I was there late 90's early 2000 when good games were around.

I feel sorry for the new generation that will spend nearly 4 times as much money on a product 4 times worse4 than it was in the past.

Rot in hell.

PS. Mac Walters you messed up ME3 so bad, I will never by a product with your name anywhere near the credits.

And this thread perfectly captures the whining and panicky McCarthyism that the forums have dissolved into.

It took people less than a minute to accuse bioware and EA of every crime at once, from ignoring the fans, to being out of touch, to deserving economic punishment. And it took 2 minutes to declare that mass effect was dead, that all DLC was invalid, that nothing about the endings would occur, and that if there would be anything made for DLC, which the fans claimed wouldn't happen ever, that is should be given away for free as part of a reparations package to the traumatized fan base, this probably is the worst part of the anti-ending movement, wanting a product that took time, money, and labor to create for free just cause.

And yet only a handful of people actually were calm and cool headed enough to question where the link to the story was and to try and do more research on this, and they were all ignored.

If you guys want to know what's actually going on to know what your holding the line against, maybe coming out of the forum bubble and not having a confirmation of the negative bias would help.

I've put up a picture of the article in my original post.

Of course the EA manager could have been misquoted, or misinformed. As I said, I hope so.

Good, a DLC for ending would be ludicrous., should be patched in
