To be fair, they allready died a bit for me with DA2. ME3 was pretty much their final chance to show they hadn't been corrupted by EA completely.

Their journey towards the Dark Side is now complete :(

I've been a fan since Baldur's Gate 1 back in the day. I thought Jade Empire was a pretty good but not great game. I hated Sonic Chronicles. I thought Dragon Age 2 was not as bad as people made it out to be, but had some serious problems.

With that said, of course I will continue to be a fan if Bioware doesn't change the ending. There's a reason most fans prefaced their opinion for so long with "up until the ending the game was great". I find the idea of writing off a developer who made an amazing game because I didn't like the last 10 minutes relatively absurd, although I get why people feel that way.

Started playing KOTOR around 2007. Had a blast then went on to look at other games

Wasn't able to get into another Bioware game til my new laptop......bought SWTOR and all the Mass Effect games last October. SWTOR turned out to be meh, but I thought Bioware was on to something with Mass Effect, loved the series with a passion. played the games and bought all the books and comics to get the behind the scenes lore.

Now......I am not sure it was worth the money.

As for what I will do if the ending isn't fixed.... Not buy anything related to Bioware/EA ever again.

Started with ME1, got ME2, DAO, DA2, Jade Empire and KOTOR all based on how good it was and loved them all.

If the endings aren't fixed I won't buy anything from Bioware again. It actually makes me feel sick to think about it. It's just so disappointing, and horrible, I honestly won't be able to trust Bioware again, not least of all considering how expensive games are these days. It's just not worth risking the money.

I guess this way it gives more dramatic results.

Just vote where you lean to at the moment.

For me, it's BG2...and Bioware has managed to reduce itself to "just another developer", at least in terms of trust.
Won't preorder another game from them in the forseeable future - and only buy them after carefully considering fan reviews (certainly not payed ones).

This is especially easy since all they're going to release next is either a new franchise or disconnected from the titles I loved. DA3? ME4? No thanks

Ive bought nearly every one of their games, but the ship is starting to sink, not sure if they can recover from this.

I became a fan with KOTOR. Now I'm in doubt. SWTOR was very disappointing (they tried to copy WoW gameplay, failed miserably and the mediocre voice acting/story won't polish that away - end of the line). ME3 was, for a large part a great experience. I just felt the ending had too many important elements cut away to make sense and to be able to extrapolate it's consequences. I'd say BioWare is starting to change it's fur and it seems to forget it has to lose it's old fur first. In other words, they need to dump the current fanbase in order to get the new one and not trying to cater to both groups - as it doesn't work.

Glad I stopped at DA1. Bought SWTOR though ONLY because it was Bioware. Talked a bunch of friends into getting SWTOR as well. :(

It started for real with Mass Effect(I played Bio games before but Mass Effect was the big hitter for me) then DAO, ME2 cemented it .
BUT DA2 was a kick in the balls and now with ME3 ending leaving me with the feeling of betrayal and anger the all Biofan thing starts to crumble. I'm waiting for PAX to see official Bio statement and so on before I decide anything.

I've been a fan of BioWare games since Baldur's Gate way back when. The ME3 ending in my opinion is horrid, but I won't let that influence purchases for other IP's BioWare makes. I didn't have a problem with DA2 at all. Even the repetition of the maps was fine with me because it made sense in the story, and for me the story is the most important thing in a role-playing game. Therefore I would most definitely buy a DA3 if it ever comes, but I likely will not buy anything for ME series unless they fix the ending of ME3.

ME1. I played pretty much every BioWare game in existance, and I own most of them, but the only ones that "did" for me were Mass Effect and KotOR, and I didn't even get that much into KotOR1, I found the second to be the superior game (even if it was unfinished and flawed and in many ways ME3 and DA2 are reminiscent of it - they could be the most awesome RPGs of their time IF THEY WERE ACTUALLY FINISHED).

That said, they are still one of the three surviving game devs that make RPGs that I enjoy playing (the other two being Obsidian and Brian Fargo, triply so now that he's finally making Wasteland 2 and considering bringing Obsidian in on the cut to re-form Black Isle), so I cannot abandon them for anything.

KotOR (2003 if I remember well)
I bought every single freaking Bioware game since then... well it's over, you can't lie like that to fans and expect them to lick your ass afterward

I was bioware fan since the original SW KotOR and later because of ME1 and DAO. Since DA2, which I felt was a bitter disappointment, I lost faith in Bioware already. And after ME3's ending... no, if that doesn't get fixed, my money doesn't flow into their pockets again.

I don't think the poll really offers the necessary nuance.

I've been a fan since Baldur's Gate. I continue to be a fan of many individuals within BioWare (most of whom are on the Dragon Age team) and will be so until they depart.

My overall view of BioWare is diminished by their words and deeds over the past few years, and I don't consider myself to simply be a "BioWare fan" anymore (I am, to a degree, but not the way I used to be). I feel no real brand loyalty to the secondary groups under the BioWare label.

If they don't address the issues with the ending, I don't plan to invest in the Mass Effect franchise in the future, and I definitely have no intention of continuing to support ME3. I likely will not be interested in any titles headed by the same team as ME3 (at the very least, they will get a much more critical eye when determining whether to buy or not), nor in any of the titles produced by the other groups.

I will continue to support the Dragon Age team regardless of what happens with ME3.

The moment I got to the Citadel in Mass Effect 1, Talking to Avina for the first time.

Yeah Of Course I'll still be a fan I think Mass Effect 3 is excellent and the retakers are over reacting big time. It was a big test after my Dragon Age 2 disappointment but Bioware suceeded

While I am an emmensly slow player of video games. I currently have (and finished) every PC Bioware title since Baldur's Gate. With the exception of KOR (thought I had it, but I don't)

If they don't fix this... :sigh:

Pre-Order... not gonna happen
Collector's Edition....not on your life.
game in general....I'll wait a year or so to get the Game of the Year edition with all the DLC added. And that is only if the fans gave it a good review and the story seemed interesting.

I've got 2 people trying to get me to pick up TOR at the moment. I'd say that this upcoming decision will have a direct impact on if I'll keep digging in my heels or cave and pic up a copy.

mass effect 3 is excellent till the last 10 minutes when it goes BIG-FAIL!! Now i'm assuming the DLC will be pay DLC so I won't be buying that and they will probably lose one more customer.

If there is a DA3 and if it is not multi-player and If it gets good fan reviews, that I might go for. But I will not per-order.The fan reviews will have to be really good, in fact I'll most likely wait until I see fan YouTube's regarding it. But right now, I just don't know. Though I am canceling my swtor account because I hated wow and that is all Swtor is after level 50. Worse actually Its an incompetent version of wow.
