My trust in BioWare has been pretty much shattered. I'm prepared to get it back, if they get smart and decide to really salvage the disaster they have on their hands. But I fear that they have become too arrogant.
It feels pretty damn horrible.
When did you become a Bioware fan and will you continue to be one if Bioware does not change the ending?

Baldurs Gate in about 98 I think, and everything since.
In March, a remake of Baldur's Gate was announced dubbed Baldur's Gate: Enhanced Edition slated for release Summer 2012 - but not by BW!!!
An enhanced edition of Baldur's Gate II is also set for release in the Summer of 2012 but is to be released after the enhanced edition of the original Baldur's Gate.
Going to be a good summer, something to look forward to after the mess effect by BW.

Baldur's Gate...and no, probably not. I've given them enough chances.

Started with Kotor, preordered every game since then. After the disaster of Dragon Age 2 and the ending of ME3, Bioware has lost me as a day one customer. I'll wait for braver men then I to test the waters of future Bioware products.

Since Baldurs Gate and yes I will stick around. I will not buy any DLC for ME3 however.

I will only buy DA3 when it comes out. I doubt I will invest myself in another of BW's franchise. I am not planning on buying any other BioWare's games, be it another Mass Effect or some other epic RPG (though, I see them walking away further and further away from RPGs). I will only buy DA3 for closure to Thedas's story.

Started out with Obsidian's Knights of the Old Republic 2 then moved on to BioWare's Kotor 1. Became a fan of their games after that. No, I won't continue to support the Mass Effect franchise. I'll keep on playing TOR for a little bit and looking forward to Dragon Age 3. That's all.
EDIT: Gonna be on a lookout for whatever Obsidian is planning, in the future, and perhaps Wasteland 2 will be interesting.

I never had access to PC games as a kid. My first Bioware game was KotOR, for which I bought an Xbox. I bought Jade Empire on the strength of that experience, and championed Bioware ever since.
Their decisions of late, though, have lost me. I can't guarantee future purchases, since they've lost that special status, for me.

I started at Mass Effect 1, and i will stay with bioware for as long as i live lol, i dont see why people are complaining about the endings.. yea i was disapointed about the endings but you dont see me moaning about it everyday.. Mass Effect 3 was an awesome game and bioware deserve our thanks.

My first BioWare game was KOTOR. After DA2 and the ME3 ending though... I'm just not sure. I may or may not buy BioWare products in the future. You can be sure though that I won't be an early adopter like I have been. No midnight releases for BioWare games for me. I will do hefty amounts of research into any BioWare products before purchasing them.

My first game from Bioware´s workbench was a Kotor, i was enjoying that game so many times i even can´t count that. Than comes Dragon Age and Mass Effect series, realy great games until darknes fall on this nice and suny valley. I loved these games because of story, decision, handiness and all put together create something which i cannot find in other RPG games.
But when appears Dragon Age 2 i was dissapointed, so much potential and so wasted into recycling of enviroment and unfinished story and now we are handling with a dissaster of ME3, gamer´s magazines giving this gane 9/10, 9,5/10, 10/10 but what the hell, did they ever played this game and its ancestors ?
I don´t think so, they gave this ratings only because they are paid for it, yes ME3 was AAA title but did he realy deserve so high ratings? I don´t think so and that is reason why it is tearing my favourite game, hopes, soul ... apart. I wish i could say, Yes i am once again proud on this Company which gives me so many years of fun, stories and imaginations but after this I can´t longer say that... I am feel sorry for them ...

I became a Bioware fan after trying KotOR, and whether or not I will buy their next game depends on the quality of that game, not on ME3's DLC. If I was going to boycott Bioware for not releasing any good DLC, I would have quit after DA:O.

Started for me back with Baldur's gate 1 and fell in love with them with Baldur's Gate 2 and the Throne of Bhaal and PS: Torment. Played all the NWN games but they where meh to me, just didnt live up to the writing in the BG series and Troment. Jade Empire was a good story, But then along comes Mass Effect for the PC and holy hell it was brillant.
Then DA: Origins, it was the first game that made me go "Now This Is Baldur's Gate BioWare."
ME 2 was good just too water down on the RPG elements but i still loved it. Then we get the abomination that was DA 2 and now the Ending of ME 3.
I will always love the Bioware of old that gave me so much enjoyment in the past, that made me care about a person or persons and worlds that really do not exist. But sadly unless they Fix the endings then I will just have to remember them as they were back when they were a "Games made for Gamers by Gamers" developer and not a souless mass producer get it out the door developer.

Playing KOTOR as a teen in 2003 was my introduction to the company. I was in love. I put 1% of my earnings into getting tickets to Canada to apply for a job.
Mass effect just blew my mind. It was everything I ever wanted in a game. A spacefaring epic, interesting characters and exciting gameplay.
They were my idol. Everything good about gaming.
Now...now I want nothing to do with EA or Bioware.

BG1 for me. There was something about a Bioware game that set it so far apart from its rivals. Others produced rpgs where you saved the world alone without having to talk to anyone except to sell something or find the next set of monsters to kill. A Bioware game was about the story and the people your character met - involvement in the world that gave you an emotional attachment to it. They were games I considered closest to the traditional spirit of roleplaying, The last two games - DA2 and ME3 - didn't have that for me.
So I won't be pre-ordering anymore and I'll wait for player NOT reviewer feedback before I consider buying any future Bioware products.

Since I first played Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic. Loved it so much I went and bought an Xbox and a copy of the game the next day. Since then, Have played and loved almost everything released by Bioware.
Many of us have sunk enough time and money into the company that I really hope our collective feelings are addressed. If not, I'll no longer be a customer.

Let see, I'm a customer since Shattered Steel in 1996 and a fan since Baldurs Gate 1 (1998)
Didnt really pay attention to the non-rpg games they made (like MDK2) and havent played the Sonic game (I mean, come on...Sonic? Really??) but loved every other game with the exception of a few.
Jade Empire: own it, just not my thing...
Neverwinter Nights: found it to be a bit "meh", never got into the online part though.
Dragon Age 2: biggest dissapointment of the century for me. This shook my faith in Bioware up bad.
Loved ME3 though (except for the last 10 minutes), combined the best parts of ME1 and ME2 and for me this makes it the best game of the series...
But am I still a fan? Hmm, I'm a lot more sceptical about Bioware games now. SWTOR was fun until you hit lvl 50, ME3 has the ending debacle and don't get me started on what they did to DA2 compared to DA:O. I guess I'm still a fan, but Bioware games aren't INSTABUY for me anymore...

I'm late to the party, but I started with Mass Effect 1...though I did get both ME1 and ME2 together with DA shortly after. I'm staying with them. The games they made, so far, have been the best games I've ever played. If the endings are not changed, I just hope that DLC does add closure and explains a few things but I'm not upset. I was OK with the endings.
I'm now awaiting DA3 and C&C Generals 2.

I became Bioware fan pretty much with Neverwinter Nights, and later all the quality RPGs they released afterwards. (KotOR, Dragon Age etc).
I had played Baldur's Gate and Icewind Dale series before, but I don't think much of that remains in the current Bioware. Back then there was passion and substance into making great games and everything didn't come down to wallet value.
Back then we wished games were more widespread and accepted. Playing videogames was kind of taboo and in some social circles it marginalised you. We've got what we wanted. We made games open to everyone, turned videogames into popular commercial products. The result is before our eyes.

i became a BioWare fan with DAO. i pre-ordered DA II because of DAO. i was not expecting the story to be nearly as moving as DAO was, mainly because the threat wasn't nearly as great as the Archdemon was in DAO. i was not disappointed by DA II as much as other people were, it seems. the "repeating" maps simultaneously amused and annoyed me, but that was about it.
because i pre-ordered DA II, my love affair with ME2 began. they gave me a free copy of ME2 for the PC through Origin. by the end of the first night, i was hooked. by the end of my second night, it was practically a religion. i traded in some old PS3 and PS2 games to pick it up new for the PS3 because i wanted access to ME Genesis now, not "in the future." and i also wanted to play it on my 1080p TV. i was looking up lore from just about every official source i could find on the internet.
my wife and son purchased me Joker's SR-2 hat (the white and black one) and the 4 pack of lithographs including Tali and Legion (my two favorite squadmates) for Father's Day.
i watched every video (including the XBox 360 videos) and interview, read every article and interview about ME3 that i could find - again, official sources. i didn't want speculation or assumptions from 3rd party sources. i played the demo to death.
i waited to pre-order my Collector's Edition of ME3 until it was announced - i was at the store when it opened that morning. i scheduled to take the night off from work (i work 3rd shift) to be there at midnight months in advance. i walked out of my store with the first copy. i live 5 minutes away.
unless this ending is fixed, i will probably never pre-order another BioWare game again. every time i look at the $60 price tag, i will remember my disapointment and frustration i have experienced over the last 4 weeks. i will ask myself "should i buy this now, or should i wait until the price drops because i'm going to have to pay for something else?" i will ask myself "now, is this the full game, or am i going to have to pay for the ending, or wait for the ending?"
i cannot say now that i will never again buy a BioWare game.
i can say that BioWare has created a hesitant customer in me. whenever i see the BioWare name and logo, i will always hesitate and ask myself "is it worth it, knowing what happened to ME3?" and if there is something else out that catches my eye, well, the answer to that question may well be "no, it's not worth it." and take my money to someone else. or save it for later.
