Where I stand right now is that they have currently lost me and my money and it's up to them to win me back. I won't buy this DLC until I have heard the feedback on it in this forum. If it's positive then I will give them a chance to win me back, if not then I simply won't buy it or any future DLC or product from BW.

Became a fan after playing DAO upon the recommendation of a family member. Best gaming experience ever. Then lusting for more I played ME1, ME2 and lately KOTOR. (yes the order is completely screwed up since it's all been in my backlog)

The above mentioned games have been truly memorable gaming experiences. So was ME3 right untill the end, which was just depressing and made me want to forget ME ever happened. DA2 was a complete disappointment - a mockery of DAO.

I might buy another Bioware game, eg. DA3, but only if I feel assured that it's given 'a seal of approval' by the community..

Not answering the polls, because it's too black/white. If Bioware makes things right, then I'll come back cautiously. However, if they don't... I probably won't, either.

Fell in love with Bioware when I got Jade Empire. That was awesome. And I'd love to see a sequel for that done by the Real Bioware. Not the Darth Bioware that was corrupted by the Dark Lords of the Sith here. :?

I was one of the few that did like DA2 (thought the combat was better, story was good if dark, and the repetative levels were tolerable to me). But that being said, ME3 really killed the franchise (and possibly the company) to me. with... well, do I really need to say it?

KOTOR got me onto Bioware and Mass Effect cemented it ME3 has destroyed it and I'm not interested in anymore games even if they fix the ending as they've pretty much ruined it. I don't particularly want to go through this nonsense again it was such a convoluted irrational nonsensical ending that I could only think "This isn't the end...... omg it is what on earth"

April 6 will be the date when Bioware will turn from "OMG, i need to preorder Collector's Edition of their new game, and that hoodie, and that statues, and buy unreleased sountracks etc. etc." to "meh, i'll check it out, maybe half a year after release" or maybe it won't be, they still have a way to turn it around.

Pretty much, except I might wait a few years instead. I never even considered checking out Lair of the Shadow Broker or Overlord or Arrival on Youtube prior to purchase. But this DLC is something I'm willing to ruin the suspense over, and skip the purchase if it's just more of the same.

As for gaming history, Jade Empire got my interest, Mass Effect hooked me. It may just unhook me as well.

Bioware was given a chance pretty much no game designer is given - a second crack at the ending, and the ability to read players' minds about what worked and what didn't. If they've chosen not to take advantage of that opportunity, it's a loss for the fans, a loss for Bioware, and the loss of the wonderful process that allowed the enthusiastic passage of money between the two parties. There's simply no winners in that scenario.

Been a bioware fan as long as i can remember.

Bioware used to be a company I trusted and bought from withou
ever reading reviews and such. Because they always delivered.

The only thing Bioware delivers now is daggers in people's back.

Started with KOTOR and if they don't fix the ending this is it for me. If they do fix it I will just wait for fan reviews and buy their games on recommendation from friends.

KOTOR was my first BioWare game. I enjoyed it a lot but it was Mass Effect that really captured me as a "fan". I started to consider Dragon Age Origins - I didn't have extensive experience in RPGs and the game felt very different from everything I had played in the past. I'm glad I got DAO, a fantastic work, you can really see the love and dedication that went into that game. Mass Effect 2, for me, is a great game. Maybe the "human reaper" design was somewhat questionable, but the final mission was awesome, and I loved all the characters, the loyalty missions, it has a really cool "The Magnificent Seven" feel to it.
DA2 was a bit of a disappointment for me, but I won't go into that. Still, I had the best expectations for ME3, and for the most part it delivered.

The ending, however, is like watching creative suicide. It's unexplainable (at least for now). And if it stays "as is", it signifies (to me) that the primary responsible people for this series have just lost all their love for their creation - for the characters, for the universe. And therefore "NO", I will no longer be a fan of BioWare.

If there is a DA3 and if it is not multi-player and If it gets good fan reviews, that I might go for. But I will not per-order.The fan reviews will have to be really good, in fact I'll most likely wait until I see fan YouTube's regarding it. But right now, I just don't know. Though I am canceling my swtor account because I hated wow and that is all Swtor is after level 50. Worse actually Its an incompetent version of wow.

There are rumors that DA3 will have competitive multiplayer. And besides, devs looked through all the feedback and basically said "Yeah **** that, we're gonna make it like Skyrim. Did you see how well that sold?".

Neverwinted Nights, thats what got me at first.

And.... well, i know they wont change the ending, but im waiting to see exactly what they do with it, i never really wanted them to change it outright, i want closure.

And no, depending on what they make, me and BW will go our own way, ill maybe still get their games if they seem really good, but ill get them used so i dont directly support them, videogame industry just gives the companies too much power compared to the consumer.

I've been a fan since KotOR, but Mass Effect really drove that home. I loved the characters, the lore, everything. After Mass Effect was released I found myself looking at anything related to Bioware. Announcements, new games, and DLC. DA:O, DA2, ME2, and ME3 were all day one purchases for me. All that was gone in 15 minutes.

Mmm, well, Bioware and I started off on the wrong foot.

In 2008 I played for a while Mass Effect 1, I was on my cousin computer and i must say, i didn't like it at all. The UI seemed awful, the combat boring and as I was just fooling around i didn't cared about the story. Nevertheless I always wanted to end it one day.
That day came in 2011, when I finally decided to play them seriously. So i bought 1 and 2 on a Steam offer and became addict to them. It took me a while to enjoy Mass Effect 1, but it was kind of like Indoctrination, little by little, without me noticing it, i learned to love and care about the story, the characters and the games. When the credits rolled with that awesome music i was in love :$.

I still think ME1 was the best one of the trilogy when it comes to plot development.

About the future....well....let's wait to PAX first.

Why bother with Skyrim. They could just make it like DA:O.

I started with BG1 and bought and mostly preordered every game by them since then.

If no change comes they´ve lost me forever. I don´t take kindly to slaps in my face.

I started with DA:O. The way you could interact with the world, the immersion, was unlike any other game I'd ever played. So I also bought Jade Empire, ME1 and the collectors edition of ME2. I still want to play some of their older games, but I'm not so sure about going out and buying them if these endings aren't resolved.

Anyway, DA2 (I pre-ordered the signature edition) was my first disappointment. I liked the idea behind it (the story has some impressive commentary on privilege and social inequality), but the execution was lacking imo. It wasn't just the recycled area's and the lack of exploration/new area's, but also the way the three acts were rather sloppily strung together and the abrupt ending. It was like reading a book with several chapters missing. I still enjoyed it, but I didn't buy any of the DLC because they didn't give us an expansion/DLC that dealt with the abrupt ending.

I pre-ordered the ME3 collectors edition because I didn't believe they could screw this up. Guess I was wrong. Not only is there very little exploration and only one hub world, but there's also way too much auto-dialogue and way too little consequences for past actions (Killed the Rachni queen? Saved the Rachni queen? Here, have some positive/negative EMS!). The endings, however, ruined my faith in BioWare. I'm not pre-ordering from them again. Everything else I can ascribe to rushed development and such, but the endings have no such excuse. They go against everything I love about the ME games and I find the idea behind them (lots of speculation from everyone) downright insulting. I have read a lot of fascinating works of literature that are all about speculation, but that is not what ME is about and that is not what I was promised.

So yeah, I won't be a BioWare fan any more if they don't deal with these endings. You don't put a Space Odyssey ending on a 100+ hour space epic trilogy that's all about choice and consequences and then defend it in the name of artistic integrity. That's not good art, that's just stupid.

Started with BG1. Never played Jade Empire or KOTOR. Wondered what they were thinking when they made a Sonic game, never beat DA:O, have little faith in Generals 2. Mass Effect 1 and 2 I really liked, much more than DA:O, which I found odd as someone who grew up on Baldur's Gate. At first I thought ME3 was great besides the ending, but after a chance to look back, I realized the ending kind of dwarfed a lot of other weak elements in the game.

Since BG1, but if they don't fix this mess, I'm done. I don't want the ending "explained" it's inexplicable. Any attempt will only make it worse. I want what was advertised - what I paid for. Their complete lack of meaningful response to this has been appalling.

Baldur's Gate, 1998. Have played all BG's, DA's, Jade Empire, KOTOR, and all Mass Effects.

I think if the ME3 ending isn't fixed, I'll write off Bioware as a corrupted subsidiary of EA, and move on to other developers. It'll be sad, since Bioware's long been my favorite, and I'll admit that I'll give DA III a glance, but I don't know if I'll buy it. The ME3 ending was that bad, and after DAII, I since bad decisions have become commonplace for the Bioware management structure. It's just a shame. I loved DAO, ME1, and ME2 like no other games, but I just don't know about Bioware anymore...

I've been supporting them since KOTOR 1.

I will not be a fan anymore if they don't fix it. The ending is unacceptable.

See, I could tolerate this if they released the tools for ME3, so we could craft our own ending. But they didn't do such.

Depending on what Bioware decide to do to explain the endings, will depend on what I decide to do, but I do have a strong urge to go and try more Indie games (what with a lot of the developers leaving the big names) and all these kickstarter projects. I might give my money to those people.

i became a fan way back in the day of baldurs gate. been a fan since then.

If the endings aren't fixed completely. Clarification isn't sufficient. I want a proper fix to the endings, as in have the redone completely. The i will simply cease to be fan completely. I will never again trust Bioware. Too much emotional attachment in this game series for me to trust them after such a horrible ending. The ride was great. the ending destroyed everything that the ride had.

Can't answer that poll.

Started with NWN1, and I'll simply wait and see. I can't say I'll cut Bioware out forever if they suddenly make an awesome Dragon Age 3 or whatever. Also, Mass Effect 3 was for the most part worth it's money (much more than Dragon Age 2), at least I was entertained for quite a few days.

Also, even though I really support the demand for new endings, there are other things that bother me much more - you can probably blame EA for most of it.
