I've been a fan since KOTOR. Amazing game and loved Bioware since I played it.

I can't continue to be a fan if they don't fix the ending. The ending is broke. It went for the cheapest way out with a god child scenario and no conclusion. It was lazy with no passion and I can't support that Bioware anymore.

And you know what, why not a happy ending? What's wrong with wanting to see a character you've invested so much emotionally into be happy. A lot of writers in all medium think the happy ending is too cliche but all these bittersweet endings or sad endings are much more prominent now and have become the cliche.

Baldur's Gate was my first computer game :) Big fan ever since. Until the ending. Bioware lost a potential SWTOR subscriber and a loyal fan.

I became awakre of Bioware with DAO that a friend recommended-the same friend who recommended ME, actually! I loved the games and I appreciated the effort, story and characters BW created in them!As soon as I started playing DAO, that was it: I was a fan!

As it is now...for me, BW crossed a line with the endings in ME3; the line between the quality and the high standards they had implemented in their previous games and unadulturated corporate gaming development, where quality no longer matters, but putting a product on the shelves is the only criterion!

This is not to say ME3 is a bad game; there are parts where the quality is there, where you can see the attention and care and the fact those who made the game actually cared about it and their characters; but there are a lot of moments where you can see things were done lazily, haughtily, quality sacrificed, probably on the altar of meeting deadlines or perhaps budget or both: the endings themselves, that ruin an otherwise perfectly good game, the way some of the LIs are treated-mistreated, really-the lack of dialogues and choices in many moments of the game!

Not sure if I'll remain a fan unless the endings and the flaws in ME3 are addressed properly, in the elegant, qualitative way BW has accustomed their fans to; I'll always cherish the lovely games they have given me and I will replay them, in time, but new products? If they follow this path they started in ME3, I don't think so. I became a fan of BW's inventive, intelligent action/adventure/RPGs.

I feel the same way, Kotor is the bench mark for plot twists for me. I just feel cheated by ME3 and bioware.

BioWare, the masters of the slick interactive telenovela wrapped around solid action rpgs.

KOTOR got me into rpgs, I've been a fanboy since that awesome plot twist in the middle. Since then my relationship to them has essentially been "SHUT UP AND TAKE MY MONEY, YOU LOVELY PEOPLE!". I've bought and enjoyed all their games and DLC since then, I'm one of the few who really liked DA2 and even enjoyed it's rather inessential DLC. There have been no games that I've loved and become so emotionally involved with as much as Mass Effect. I was loving ME3 until those final 10 minutes.

I despise that ending on so many levels, it almost felt like a personal insult. But I fear it can't be fixed and I suspect they had no idea how to end it. I'd settle at this stage for an option just to skip the last 10 minutes and go straight to the end credits and let my my mind fill in the rest.

If there is nothing they can do about it, then my feelings towards BioWare and their games would be apathy and indifference rather than hostility. If a company is not making products I want to buy then I'd just get them from a competitor who is. I might still buy BioWare stuff but they'd just be another games company to me.

Another one of these threads Geez. Bioware already lost me as a loyal fan, if they don't fix the endings they won't even have a chance of redeeming themselves.

Firstly, I became a fan of the companies works with KOTOR. However, I'm not sure I'll buy anything from the company now until I get the opportunity to ensure that fan reviews are sufficiently positive.

However, in defence of the game, ME3 was reasonably good (not nearly so much so as ME2, but still high quality) with some really good moments. But the ending drags down an otherwise the game immensely.

It's depressing because even in just this game (not even the series as a whole) it's such excellent quality up until those last few minutes that the effect is incredibly jarring.

Started with DAO, bought ME1 and 2 shortly afterwards. I'd been following their work for a while though.

After this...if the ending continues to yell "sequel!!!" then it'll probably be quits.

I started back at MDK 2, but the first true BioWare game that made me a loyal customer was Baldur's Gate.
Now I don't know, after DA II I'm starting to evaluate more what they do, instead of blindly buying.

To be fair, they allready died a bit for me with DA2. ME3 was pretty much their final chance to show they hadn't been corrupted by EA completely.

Their journey towards the Dark Side is now complete :(

i totally agree with this statement.Image IPB

I started with Kotor and have been a avid fan since.
As to how this is handled. I've taken a wait and see approach. I will say this unless they fix the ending I will not be purchasing any ME3 dlc. As to future titles i'm not sure, ill have to see how this plays out.

Fan since KOTOR (enjoyed BG as well, but was too young to care about game devs) and no, unless they do something with the endings I will not be able to trut them enough to remain a fan

It all started with KotOR although I had no idea what developers and publishers were back then. Then I bought Mass Effect and I was sold.

And yes, I will stay a big fan of Bioware's work. They haven't managed to disappoint me. Hell, I can even live with ME3's ending and did several playthroughs on DA2, something which is impossible if you ask certain people here.

I started right before ME2's launch and I've been a die hard ever since. I mean, even if the ending was bad the other 99% was fantastic so I'm still a fan. It's all the pre-launch lies and post-launch PR nonsense that is shaking my opinion.

Been a fan since Baldur's Gate. Never had any reason to get on BSN or make a big fuss on the internet about it until the end of ME3. I won't rule out buying Bioware games over one ending, but it will sadden me if they do not address it. I also won't buy DLC or have an interest in further collectors editions or preorders unless the ending is addressed. Sad to think, but Bioware might become just another game company to me if this isn't taken seriously. I would really like to continue to think of them as special. We'll see on Friday, I guess.

Started with NWN. With the Exception of Sonic loved every Bioware Game since.
I won't buy ME3-DLC with the current Endings. And if ME4 is set in the time before or during the Reaper War i won't buy that either.

Not sure about DA3, still have some hope left for that. No Pre-order though.

Became a fan with Neverwinter Nights! So much goodness, I remember replaying it even a few years after the first time. Then I fell in love all over again with Dragon Age: Origins. I was reluctant to play Mass Effect at first because I'm not really a FPS, but I was assured that my beloved Bioware had made something better and more immersive than that and got hooked.

DA2 let me down a little, but more because it was so buggy and repetitive with the backgrounds, I didn't mind the different narration or darker tone. The DLC and patched improved that greatly. ME3 was so awesome until the ending broke my heart completely and this time I'm not sure if it is an issue DLC can fix...

Time will tell. :/

Baldurs Gate on up to ME3. Skipped DA2 after the demo... eugh.

If the ME3 ending is the shape of things to come, they can keep their 'artistic integrity' and I'll keep my cash.

The ending could have been better. However, I still really enjoyed the rest of the game. Bioware remains my favorite developer by far.

Started with Baldurs Gate. Played pretty much every single game Bioware released (minus Sonic Chronicles) and loved all of them.

...Then Dragon Age II came out. I was a huge fan of DA:O and I still believe that DA2 was a massive disappointment. Now Bioware has also managed to completely kill the Mass Effect universe for me.

Needless to say, I'm not going to blindly buy their products anymore. At best, I'm going to wait until fan reviews, and even then, I'll probably just buy their games used. That way, they didn't make any money off of me when I end up disappointed.

Baldur's Gate, and yeah, probably. They've made mistakes but I still prefer them to any other dev.
