I started being a fan from KOTOR, but if they don't satisfy their fans with an ending where are choices matter (and one that actually makes sense) I will no longer be a Bioware fan.
When did you become a Bioware fan and will you continue to be one if Bioware does not change the ending?

Fan since BG1, always pre-ordered and bought CE versions. 3 scenarios for me
1. Ending DLC revealed as planned all along, in fact its almost done! = Stick with Bioware pattern, pre-orders, CE's, etc
2. Ending DLC will be released to "fix" endings, we are listening to fans and will give them what they want = Stick with Bioware, but no more pre orders or CE's, will only buy after reading FAN reviews, probably here on BSN
3. No Ending DLC = Done with Bioware/EA forever. No chance in hell would i ever touch anything with either of their labels on it.

Jade Empire, and would still buy their products in the future if they look entertaining enough regardless of new DLC, ending changes, etc.
The draw for me with Bioware's games distinct are the character bits - there are other games where the plot or the gameplay or the world design would mean more, but I'm less bothered by things like the ending of ME3 (or the recycled areas in DA2) then I would be if they were part of a game that I bought expecting those elements to be the highlight. I enjoyed the character development, so I got what I wanted (and more, since I thought that most of ME3 was brilliant) - but I can totally see how someone who saw the story to be the main draw would feel totally differently.

I'll probably still play their games, even though we all know what happened I do admit they made amazing games, their downfall was with DA2 and ME3,so I'll probably play their games before that, such as Kotor which was purely epic. But as buying? no...I already have 6 original games from them which cost quite a lot, don't see the use of spending even more money, maybe when the price drops to like 20 dollars.

Knights of the Old Republic was the start of my relationship with BioWare. Mass Effect 1 continued it. Mass Effect 3 has more than likely ended it.
If I do not find their "clarification" to my liking, I will no longer be supporting (with a very loose definition of the word "support") ME3, or any other BioWare title for that matter. At that point, it will be clear that they simply cannot be trusted to deliver a satisfying conclusion to a trilogy, or any story for that matter, so why bother trusting them later?
There are plenty of other developers out there I can give my money to.

My love affair with Bioware started with the original Baldur's Gate/Tales of the Sword Coast. Now that it looks like they're not fixing the ending, it'll end with ME3.

KOTOR Starteded it but if DA3 turns out badly it could end pretty soon.

What BW does with this ending debacle will dictate how I view them as a company. And how I view them as a company will dictate my continued or discontinued relationship with them.

Well, it's less that I stopped being Bioware fan and more that Bioware stopped being the developer I'm a fan of.

The first Baldur's Gate is when I started playing Bioware games. They haven't really created an rpg-ish game that I've disliked. There have been some elements of certain games that I've found lacking, but over-all the games have been enjoyable and full of interesting characters.

I became a Bioware fan when I got my hands on Dragon Age Origins. After that I bought all the DLCs' and Awakening. I also bought ME2 + all story DLC and I plan to do the same with ME3. I will also pre-order DA3.

I still remember getting Baldur's Gate as a kid, enjoyed it so much on my old crappy PC.
Then I got my Xbox and Kotor with it, and Bioware games became my favourite of all. Then Mass Effect 1 came and I thought Bioware could do no wrong...
...I was a fool; whilst DA:O is still one of my favourite games of all, the amount of bug and Awakenings really could have been worked on. ME2 was a great game, but the story baffled me first time playing it, I shrugged it off and thought "Hey, it's only a minor flaw, I mean it is Bioware how hard can they screw up?"
And then DLC Dumpster 2 was released, and I felt so disappointed for trying to defend and enjoy it, how did they screw up so badly? Then the Coup de grace that is Mass Effect 3 was released, in all it's lazy designs and 'babies first horde mode' glory. It was more the business direction of Bioware that angered me though. Not another penny will go to them.

I've been a fan since KOTOR, it was that game that made my buy the Mass Effect games later on. I can't say what would happen if the ending stays the same, but I can't see myself playing through those games anymore or buying future Bioware games. I still have difficulty believing they ended Shepard's story like this.

I got Mass Effect when it came out. Played it, loved it and bought more.
I've been burned by Bioware twice now: first with Origins DLC and then with the ME3 ending. If they don't fix the ending there will not be a chance for them to burn me a third time.

I became one with Baldur's Gate, and no I won't stop being a fan just yet. I'm going to see what they do with the upcoming DLC and see how I feel after that. Better to wait and see, I think.

My uncle was a hardcore role playing fanatic back when I was more into football and wrestling, as I got older and began to start my life away from sports and more into books, he introduced me to Final Fantasy VII and I was hooked on the genre. I enjoyed Baldur's Gate and the sequel but the game that really sold me on BioWare was Knights of the Old Republic, I actually re-played my copy and had to buy another new copy to replace it. And though Obsidian Entertainment was the head developers behind Knights of the Old Republic II, I played that game over and over as well. It was much the same for Jade Empire. I was truly disheartened to learn that BioWare and Lucas Arts were scrapping KOTOR III in favor of an MMORPG, which I am not a fan of to begin with. But then came Mass Effect followed by Dragon Age: Origins and all was right again. Unlike many others I enjoyed Dragon Age 2 as well as Mass Effect 2, though I would have liked more RPG elements in ME2. I've never been more disappointed with them as I am now due to this fubar of an ending. Seriously, I'll be hard pressed to pre-order DA3 and if they screw that game up just as bad, I'll probably never purchase another title from them, even at discount.

I got really into kotor as a kid, was my favorite game. But at the time I didn't really pay attention to the bioware logo at the beginning, because when your a kid if a game looks cool you want it, plus it was star wars so I ate that up. Then I saw the logo on jade empire, which I thought was cool because I liked that game, not as much as kotor, but I started to notice that logo showing up on some really good games, then I heard about mass effect so I watched all the early dev videos and such so I pre-ordered it, I loved it so much, I was 17 when that game came out and played it till just before my "ultimate" playthrough of both 1&2 then I played 3 and was all excited to finally beat it...until I beat it, I may not have been a fan of bioware since baulder's gate, but this company has made all of my favorite games from KOTOR to SWTOR, and to see them make this the ending to one of my favorite games, and that Hudson actually thought it was good...I can honestly say I felt like Hitler from the Hitler reacts to ME3 ending...that was my reaction. For those of you who want to others on this forum to do a review of DA3, I'll bite the bullet and write an honest one as soon as it comes out, I wouldn't want anybody else to be as upset as I have been with DA2 or ME3 after "beating" them

Baldurs Gate 2 made me a Bioware fanboy back then. And no, I wont stay. After Mass Effect there is simply no reason for me to stay. Dragon Age no longer interests me either.

Can't vote on these polls. I am very disappointed with the endings, but I can't say I will never play another BioWare game. What I can say, however, is that I have played BioWare games since Baldurs Gate, and the Mass Effect series have been among my all-time favorites. The ending has changed me from someone who would pre-order collector editions of Bioware games to someone who is now only going to get a BioWare game after carefully considering opinions of many who already played the game, if I get it at all.
So basically I am not going to boycott Bioware, but I am going to be very skeptical of what the produce from here on out.

Believe it or not, but their first game was actually also my first Bioware game. Yes I'm talking about Shattered Steel, that old Mechwarrior/Earthsiege clone with more emphasys on shooter elements than on the simulation side. Was a great game however, lots of atmosphere, great sound effects and one of the best sound tracks ever (in my opinion)!
I also played the first Baldur's Gate which was revolutionary at the time, but storywise not even close to Planescape: Torment (which I played before playing BG1). The second Baldur's came quite close to Torment though.
I never played Jade Empire though, or MDK 2.
But if Bioware keeps delivering excellent games (no not Dragon Age 2 excellent, that one was just slightly above average, but not as bad as people claiming it to be). than I'll definately play them.
I am by the way not a gamer who plays games just because they come from a particular developer (which a lot of people seem to have with this company who once released a game called "Rock N Roll Racing"), I just play what I'll probably enjoy.

Didn't become a Bioware fanboy until Dragon Age: Origins. Then after playing Mass Effect went and finally played KotoR.
I still consider Dragon Age: Origins one of my favorite games of all time. Still can't manage to finish a playthrough of DA2 though.

I'm not a 'gamer'. While I have played most of the top-name games even remotely close to the RPG genre in the last five years, BioWare games are the only ones I would consider myself a 'fan' of, and I've been a self-described 'rabid fangirl' since 2005.
I've owned/preordered everything since NWN ... including DA2 and ME3CE...on multiple ports....
At the moment, I can't see myself doing so. I'm not saying I won't buy another. But the serious feeling of let-down after those last two titles just...bleh...
A few of my friends have not-purchased DA2 and ME3 because they were waiting for my reaction...and it's just...not been good....

I've been a bioware fan since the beginning like most others, had an account on the old bioware website with my multiple copies of their various games.
After dragon age 2 i was pretty conflicted but confident that the ME team was the golden goose. However people get older and drift apart, goto different companies or different divisions within the same company. I just don't think the right people are in the same places anymore to make a game that is truly satisfying. More over a game that requires pre-ordering or collectors editions or brand support through third party media.
Former bioware fanboy going into the camp of the cost effective and going to buy games when their price drops.
