It's only select threads that are being deleted guys, pretty much any one asking for game initilization help. It seem the rest of them work just fine...

Well, today is launch day, officially.

During the round of beta testing for the second builder event, none of these issues surfaced and rightly so due to the low volume of membership accounts using the forum all at once.

Yes, the forum has had its issues since Sunday but before that, the majority of posts regarding the forum have been very positive. It's a shame that this surfaced now, on release day.

Let's give BioWare the benefit of the doubt here because they've really delivered a system that has impressed. Jesse has worked long and hard to bring this place up to par since then and is working on ironing out this issue. They'll get things working.

Bioware really made a mistake when they moved us to these horrible horrible forums.... After the fun of today (yeah to multiple posts/invalid topic/redeem failing) I do not feel I will return.

The forum was working fine until they shut the old one.. Give it time, it's just not use to the load, they'll work things out. The purpose of this forum, and the reason it's superior is because it's integrated into a much bigger concept which not only allows for forum communication, but serves as a central location for people to download modules, learn what's good and what's going on, share resources in creating modules, and basically come together in a much more encompassing way.



In the end it'll be much better having this central location, than having resources spread out among 20 different sites. Just give it some time.

I certainly understand they've likely put alot of hard work into this, but consider:

Today is launch day. For a large number of people this will be their first time giving this site serious consideration. When the first thing they encounter is a forum that cant do the most basic things a forum is supposed to do(view threads and post replies) it does not exactly inspire confidence.



I'm one of those people for whom today is my first time spending any considerable amount of time on this forum. In an hour Ive managed to get maybe three replies through(double posting each time due to having to reload just to get it to work) and read perhaps a handful of threads(after three to thirty reloads each). It's frustrating. Launch day is critical because there WILL be issues getting the game working, there WILL be issues with any form of code redemption, and if you've made a successful product there will also be people singing your praises. So something like a community site and forum, the backbone of communication for your community and, if you're doing it right, PR department(may be wrong term. The people that facilitate communication between the community and the developers?) should be operable BEFORE the critical hour.



That being said, the last few threads and replies Ive attempted went through without a hitch. Maybe they've fixed the problems, and if so I commend them. Maybe it's just the server load that was the issue and many people have walked away in frustration. Either way, a show of support for the customer would go a long way at this moment.

Maybe you guys haven't noticed, but they brought the old forums back temporarily a few hours ago because of all the issues over here.

The social site was actually not bad IMO until they closed the old forums and everyone came here. I think there is a problem with it handling a large group of visitors.



At any rate, there is no point sperging out on Bioware about it. It's a forum for a game. Go do your job, or read a book, or anything else while you wait for their tech department to allocate more servers or work on the forum code or whatever the problem ends up being.

Took my a while to upload my person from the Character Creator and when it did upload I had 5 of them on here that uploaded.

All new deployments tend to be buggy. It's how the developers react to bug reports that matters. Just give it a week or so and things should be stamped out.
